My child went to Stone Elementary from August 17 2020 till October 2020. She was in kindergarten. My child would come home every day with at least 4 little tiny baby black ticks on her. These are the ticks that burrow under your skin and usually go unnoticed for days sometimes weeks. My child went from being a brilliant five year old who was testing me on opposites and giving me math quizzes to a child that forgot almost everything she had learned and was having severe migraine headaches every day and all this started within a two week time period after she started going to school at Stone Elementary and getting seed ticks burrowed under her skin. I have medical records when it all started, I have records from 2 primary care doctors, and several hospital visits. The first time she was treated she did not get better because she kept getting new ticks on her every day. The second time she was treated she was only given 14 days and did not fully recover. In May of 2021 I found an infectious disease Dr in Nashville that is very educated in tick diseases. Her hands were extremely swollen and she had what they call Lyme arthritis. This Dr treated her for 28 days and again in August 2021 for 28 days. The hand swelling went down dramatically after the second 28 day treatment. Yes they have mulch on the playground and yes ticks hate mulch. The seed ticks are coming from the high grass where the fence is at and the playground is also under a lot of trees and yes ticks get in trees and find their way to hosts. In this case the hosts are small children. I also have blood work from August 2020 through August 2021 that shows my daughter has Lyme disease. If I can get other parents involved I have already talked to her doctor about sending E.P.A to the field with high grass that is right where the kids can reach over and pet cows to get a special net and analyze the species and the count which is probably in the hundreds of thousands. If your child went to Stone Elementary in Crossville, TN. before 2020 or after 2020 and came home with seed ticks please respond so we can protect our children because I do not know if they have done anything to fix this problem. read more

Stone Elementary is a friendly place where your child can learn and make many friends. The teachers are nice. It is a PreK-8 school. The special area teachers names are Mrs. Marsee, Mrs. Whitaker, Mr. Mullins, Mrs. Barnwell, and Mrs. Sixkiller. I really love Stone it's one of the best schools ever. Some of the children cry from the time they're dropped off until the time they're picked up because of little interaction from staff. they fed the kids expired mini corndogs and my child threw up 3 times and there is a lunch room / cafeteria worker here name is Mrs. kitty that is racist to darker skin colored kids and then in the cafeteria there was a fight and they blamed all of the kids that were in the lunch room because they could of ran to the office and told on them but the fight was by the door and if a student did try and tell they would end up getting hurt or put into the fight and a normal substitute teacher named Mr. Owen's stays on his phone all day and flirts with the younger girls. So if you plan to inroll your child or kids I recommend to switch to another provider. read more

Next year, the teaching will be done by 2 undergraduate, uncertified teachers, supervised by a college instructor for 2 or less days a week.
