Finally! A place to enjoy upscale, locally sourced, gourmet Norwegian food. The proprietress told us that she was originally from the Netherlands, but considers herself to be Norwegian.
Just ask her to bring you whatever she recommends and enjoy!
Ironically, it's been difficult to find restaurants anywhere in Norway that serve actual Norwegian food. Just like in Vienna, the locals eat Doner kebab and pizza (plus Thai and Indian). Where is the lefse, anyway?
I guess Norwegians get tired of sandwiches and crave exotic cuisine just like any other nationality.
