Like so many others, I didn't realize that the amazing The Sea Grill restaurant, located at this exact location for years, had closed in 2019, about 2 months before Covid. I had thought the socially distancing seating was part of the new safety procedures... Nope. Entirely new place, nothing like the Sea Grill. So sorry. Just a bland hotel restaurant.
The space itself isn't too bad. And the servers are mostly attentive unless they're bringing me leftover bread from someone else's table. The menu is very small, but mostly lists generic, uninspired plates.
Don't worry about the crab/shrimp appetizer (photo) - there really are extra-small shrimps hiding under the slice of dill. And the tandoori fish with Mesclun salad (order separately) was presented with a bowl of bland raita with which to dunk your fish in. The warm-and-cold crème brûle was probably made this week. Maybe.
I miss The Sea Grill.
I can't really see any reason for me to return for this new overpriced experience. It's not that it's really bad. It's just not good.
