    We mad an appointment to see Maria D. To pick out a headstone and she did an amazing job! She was very helpful,she took her time to help us design the stone and showed us many examples. We changed our minds many times on the font, design, even the stone and she was super patient and understanding! Highly recommend! Thank you Maria!

    Thank you so much, Stockton Monuments! After many years of my grandmother being without a headstone, we (family) decided to stop in here to get a rough estimate. Marcy C., was very friendly and helpful, in fact we got started on designing (not sure of that's the correct term) a headstone. Everything we picked out, she occasionally made a few suggestion and also gave us a few more ideas, which again were just suggestion. We unfortunately forgot to bring a picture to be used in the headstone, but we returned later for that. And our picture wasn't in the best condition, a few rips, lines, fading but Marcy said it would not be a problem, they could take care of it. About 6 weeks and the headstone would be ready and we would be notified, we ended up calling them in the 7th week which wasn't really a big issue since we still had to make the final payment. After the final payment was made, we were informed that due to the holiday weekend (Thanksgiving), they might not have the headstone set til the following week. Well to our surprise a few days before Thanksgiving, Marcy gave us a call and let us know they had just set the headstone in and it looked great. That was our next stop. The work Stockton Monument did was amazing! Also the picture looked great. What made this all that much better was that my grandmother got a headstone before her birthday. I have and will always recommend Stockton Monument. Thank you, again.

    Thank you Stockton Monuments... Our family had the pleasure of working with Yessie after my grandfathers passing. She was so compassionate, understanding, professional and caring. She worked hard to have our memorial bench completed by a specific date. We were so impressed with her professionalism we decided to have a headstone done for my father-in-law as well. Same fantastic customer service the second time. I highly recommend Yessie. She is truly amazing. You can tell she loves her job.

Moses was fabulous in helping me figure out all what was needed to make a lovely Catholic funeral Mass happen for him. He did it all and coordinated bringing my dad from another funeral home in another state (he lived there but wanted to be buried in the cemetery his parents are at in Stockton) so was just a little more complicated. Plus I had my brother's cremated remains I wanted to be buried with dad. Moses made it all come together without a hitch The music and singers he booked were fabulous and their location is beautiful for any services you would want to do there. Ours was a little more detailed because we had the Rosary the night before, Mass at the church the next day then followed to the cemetery for the graveside part. He and all the other staff were very professional and right on every little detail. I cannot thank everyone at Casa Bonita enough for such a wonderful job they did. This is not an easy business and I see some not good reviews on here but I have to say those people have to be something wrong personally because of course a business has to be paid. Yes, everyone pays otherwise you don't stay in business very long. Moses helped me save alot of money by finding solutions for a couple of very high cost items, so I personally know he's not out to get every dollar you have. In fact I need to contact him soon to start pre-need planning for mom because she will be buried with dad and I'm not going to go anywhere else. My Nonnie's funeral was also held here in 2015 and although I had no part in planning hers, I did attend and hers was just as lovely. I'm sure that is why my dad got brochures and information back then. You can be sure everything will go smoothly when Moses is taking care of things. Thank you for everything you do.

    Colonial Rose lied about pricing multiple times. They tried to add additional costs, $1,150 plus…read moreanother $300, multiple times even after we had agreed on price and total and signed the contract. They tried to short me two entire hours of my loved one's funeral service and ended up shorting me only one hour after I complained. At the planning meeting I informed them that I wanted to pay on assignment they agreed since that's one of the approved forms of payment they take. This was two weeks before the funeral. Then they proceeded to lie and say that my loved one's life insurance company didn't allow that type of payment and that I had no claim opened, but in reality they were the ones to call the insurance company and specifically say they were refusing the payment on assignment and wanted to be paid up front. And not wait the obligatory 20 days. When I informed them that I didn't have a way to pay them in cash which is why I chose the payment on assignment option they said "well if there's no payment there's no funeral or cremation" only a couple days before the funeral. They made it seem like they were holding my loved one's body hostage and only cared about their money. So not only was I dealing with the devastation of losing my loved one now I had to scramble to find cash to cover the costs since they will charge 3% for using a credit card. They lied multiple times to my face and they were very inconsiderate and lacked training. The only employee that I have nothing bad to say about was their receptionist Dylani. She was always very helpful and thoughtful. And then as a cherry on top Lenny the funeral director signed the guest book before any of the family or guests did. I was very irked by that because he wasn't family or a friend and signed it as a business card.

From the moment we met Amber, we felt comfortable. My dad lost the love of his life after 66 years of marriage and is heartbroken. Amber made the whole process of making decisions easy for him! The whole process was simple and she made it carefree for us. We also worked with Elaina and Dylani. Everyone worked so well with us especially when we had to make edits to the death certificate and the obituary amongst on the spot decisions on the day of service that my brother and I had to make. They all were so patient and understanding of us as we were in pain and grieving. Also, the embalmer made my mom look beautiful and they added a veil to her casket for the viewing which added a special touch. While we set our own funeral program, Amber and the rest of the staff was there by our side to make sure everything was accomplished. They helped pin the boutonnières on the pallbearers and helped with the timeline of procession to the burial after ceremony after the reception. I couldn't have asked for a better execution of the timelines as we had to drive almost an hour to the cemetery. We were able to have Athena the service dog visit and the FB live worked well for our relatives overseas! Also, I recommend renting the reception room. They provided coffee, tea, and water. We added breakfast in the morning and charcuterie foods for after the service. Super convenient for those that were not going to the burial. Also, some people and kids were not comfortable with the viewing so it was a safe place to hang out. Plus, perfect for a family reunion with people you haven't seen in years! Such a smart idea to have this room. The price of funeral was reasonable. I love this staff. The home itself is beautiful and I love the chandeliers. It was a perfect environment to feel the love everyone has for my mom and our family. Also, service to the burial was great. Amber had my dad ride with her in the hearse. That was super nice for my dad. She was really great with him and helped to lift his burdens. At the burial, everything was executed well and done professionally. Thank you!

While overall I was satisfied with my experience, our main issue was the signing of documents. Their admin staff had a lot of confusion, and were not well organized. My family and I likely re-signed/re-faxed/re-emailed the documents no less than 4 times - it was not a great look. Otherwise, I found their cremation pricing to be the most reasonable in the area. They were also available on the weekends for me to pick up the ashes. I think if they were to switch to Docusign and use a CRM for calendar tracking they would have a lot less issues than they seem to.

My first experience with planning a funeral was with a different place and they had a checklist and took very detailed notes for the service. Everything was thought of and discussed in one sitting. This time I helped my cousins with services for my uncle and the experience was much different and although prearrangements had been done, there were still details that had to be reviewed prior to the final services. During this time of grief people should not have to deal with arrangements or asking and answering questions that could have been addressed at the initial time of contact. The building and technology seem a little dated as well. Some examples of the issues - the website listed the incorrect date for the Mass, luckily another cousin noticed and alerted us right away. Two days after the services were scheduled we were notified of a need for a time change due to a scheduling conflict with the church - why weren't the times confirmed earlier. No mention of memorial prayer cards was made so I ended up ordering them online. No mention of whether we wanted to play a slideshow so I had to inquire. I placed the slideshow on three different types of CD/dvd formats and a flash drive and none of them worked on their equipment. It sounded like they could have made the slideshow but again, no offer or mention of the option.
