I am so thrilled with people's reactions to my Christmas cards. Wally at Stocks Photography took some amazing photos of me and my horses and one day later I had tons of great proofs to choose from and 2 days after that I had my cards. My friends keep calling me to say mine is their favorite card. I was so touched and pleased. I can't wait to have Stocks Photography out to my farm again in the Spring for another photo shoot. They are professional, helpful and so considerate. I give them 5 out of 5 stars!!! read more

However, once you get to the plantation, you can't see any of that. The house itself is lovely, with a focus on a "country" theme that isn't too overpowering. Lots of old wood and lots of space for a party, including a wrap-around-style porch that doesn't wrap around. There is a lake in the back with a gazebo at the edge and a fountain of water jets out. The landscaping is rich and green. One note: Her wedding was an afternoon wedding in April and the outdoor wedding was HOT HOT HOT. The sun was also right in front of our eyes the whole time, meaning we had to squint a lot. If I were planning an outdoor wedding, I would try to go at the time the wedding is being planned, to prevent that. Overall, very nice.

Such tranquil scenery to take in on the huge rocking chair front porch or underneath a large tree, sitting under the gazebo by the water or spreading a blanket in the lush green grass. This made for a good Memorial Day - thanks Rose Hill for a great 1st impression!
