After spending the day before in busy Stockholm we felt like slowing down and going for a nice walk…read morewith our dog.
This fantastic park was just a 10' drive away from our vacation rental. Easy accessible with lots - really lots - of free parking space right in front. Some bathrooms are right at front - also where the public bus stops. A map provides first informations about the park. Just a bit further is a bigger settlement with informations, more bathrooms and a restaurant.
Several well marked trails lead around the park. We took the trail from the park entrance around Lake Bylsjön and back. Around 4-5km roundtrip.
On open fields and through a farm settlement at first, the trail later on leads through charming forests and then around the small, but wonderful Lake Bylsjön. Some spots were perfect for our dog to take a dip in the water. And there's a nice picknick place right at the lake as well.
Half of the path is flat and easy (clockwise seen) and accessible by wheelchairs and strollers with a bit of work. The other half is still flat, but in no ways accessible by wheelchairs and strollers.
We had a great time here at the park. Even though it was full summer, the park only had few visitors. Strange, because it's so easy to access and so close to Stockholm. Free entrance and parking, wonderful forests and landscapes. One of the very good Parks we've visited on our Sweden Road Trip.
Loved it.
