I had a Stockade stock made for my savage and the outer shell cracked and separated. The owner told me they would fix it and just mail it back. It's now been about 2 years and no replacement after numerous calls and emails. After the last call and getting the runaround again I think it save to say I won't be getting a stock back from them and wasted more money mailing it back them. read more

I had Stockade Gun Stocks make one of their elk stalker stocks for a Savage with a Shilen varmint barrel (.850 at the muzzle) on it in 300 win mag. The completed stock was fantastic. My rifle slipped into it like a glove. Everything was tight where its supposed to be, the barrel free floated 100%. I used his bottom metal and an AI magazine to give a 5 rd DBM capacity to my rifle. I got the mag from them as well. I'm still making up my mind about the magazine, it seems fussy when its full, but they don't make the mag, just sell it. The bottom metal is great. It also fitted in with my rifle beautifully. All in all I will be a customer again. I have not worked up a good handload yet, but the Rem core lokt 150 grain rounds I used to warm up the barrel one holed at 100 on the first 3 shots- and thats not even with the action bedded yet. This rifle should do well to 1000. A+ customer service, good turnaround time. Use the phone, don't email, though they respond well to email to. You get a better sense of the folks on the phone than in an email. read more
