The girls and I were looking for a nice happy hour after seeing Devil wears Prada and decided to try an old faithful. Although I've never been to this location, I've loved STK in other states for years! We ran in just in time to catch happy hour at literally the very last minute. We were starved so we ordered just about one of each food item on the happy hour menu to share and nothing disappointed. Shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, sliders, the works! We also had a few drinks each. And the price was right! We sat at the bar with friendly, and attentive service. The music and vibes were also great. So needless to say, I'll definitely be back.

Over priced and very chainy. $30 for two burnt sliders that the kids could barely bite through. The Mac and cheese and truffle fries were good so was the bread and prawns. Wasn't a fan of the filet or miso sea bass. I usually love it but it was too fishy and filet wasn't well seasoned. Very bland and over cooked. Mentioned it was my husband's birthday in the resi, they didn't even ask if we wanted dessert let alone wish him a happy birthday. We didn't ask for it either and just wanted to get out.

There weren't a lot of guest because I'm assuming everyone were planning to eat out on Mother's Day. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and quite calm. Deviled eggs are deviled eggs, so there's weren't any fireworks going on eating them but they were good. The Brussel sprouts were really good but the star of the show was the tomahawk with the garlic butter bone marrow. It was top tier and the bone marrow added a beautiful blend of flavor. Our waiter also brought out a complimentary shot after the meal. STK definitely lived up to the expectations.

I have a love hate relationship with STK lol! The atmosphere is fun and very classy. The service is always delightful however for the prices to be what they are on the regular menu the food is not that Grand in my opinion. I'm a very experienced foodie. However the Happy Hour is amazing! It's definitely worth it. Will at the bar is amazing so make sure you sit at the bar!

My cousins and I wanted to have a cute Galentine's dinner on a Sunday night, so we made reservations at STK Steakhouse. We arrived a little late, but fortunately since it was the day after Valentine's Day, it was not overly packed. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful inside and had a very classy vibe. We were seated at a table near the window, which was a nice touch. The service was great. The staff was very attentive and quick with our food, especially considering there were five of us. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese, and my cousins tried a few other mac and cheese variations. We also shared truffle fries, which were a hit. I had a non-alcoholic sangria as well, and it tasted amazing. Overall, it was a great spot for a Galentine's dinner and such a fun experience. I would definitely go back.

I dined at STK and ordered their three-course lunch special ($45.00), which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Overall, the food was amazing! For my entrée, I chose the steak and fries, and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the lobster macaroni, which I was not a fan of. It had a tomato base flavor and the cheese tasted a little powdery. My steak was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and served fresh and hot. The portion size was very satisfying. The fries were crispy with a light seasoning, which paired perfectly with the steak. I also ordered the chimichurri butter on top, and it added a rich, savory flavor that elevated the dish even more. My Caesar salad was excellent and honestly, I could've licked the plate. The lettuce was super crisp, generously coated with dressing and cheese, and the croutons had the perfect crunch. Every bite was consistent and flavorful. The dessert, however, was where things fell short. The included dessert was one average size cookie, which I didn't care for. It was a bit crumbly and had a noticeable peanut butter flavor, which I wish I had been told beforehand since I'm not a fan of peanut butter cookies. Customer service was just okay. I felt rushed by both the server and the busser, as they repeatedly tried to clear our plates while we were still eating and chatting. We were even presented with the check before receiving dessert. We had already gotten up to leave when I realized dessert was never offered. When I asked about it, the server responded, "It's just a cookie, do you want it?" which I found a bit rude. If I'm paying for a three-course meal, I expect to receive everything that's included without feeling like I'm asking for a favor. On a positive note, the decor was chic, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't overly crowded. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but manageable. I've been to STK before and I'll definitely return because the food is consistently good. That said, the service could use improvement especially patience and attentiveness. Guests paying for a full dining experience shouldn't feel rushed or overlooked.

Came in for Happy hour around 6ish! No line to wait our Server B was so knowledgeable and attentive we order a few things that needed substitutes and he came over right away to let us know. all the different bites were on point and my Cocktail was one of the best I ever had. since It's December they had a Christmas tree up that made me feel nostalgic. oh and Let me not forget how great the prices are for Happy hour!

STK is always my go to local happy hour location. I do enjoy this spot a lot more than the one in Miami Beach because of how open, wide & bright it is inside the restaurant. They have a nice private downstairs area for parties. Food portions are always decent for sharing & made fresh upon ordering. Their HH menu consists of their classical cocktails for $9 & some beer & wine pairings between $6 - $9. The bites are much more than shareable portions! Go with the burger if you want a full size experience! Service isn't too shabby either! Every time we've gone the waiters and hostesses have been attentive & accommodating! Happy to see then hanging strong considering the current state of affairs in the area , they're located , that was just recently purchased by Aventura Mall after a long battle with the previous owner.

Supposed to be a spicy pineapple margarita- but was just juice

First and last time. We went for dinner, had a 9pm reservation. We were seated right away and our waitress came over, we ordered drinks and appetizers. Our drinks came pretty quick, a margarita (really juice) and a club soda, however it took over 30 minutes for our appetizers. When they finally came out, I was shocked by the calamari portion size for the $30 price point. I didn't even taste it, I sent it back. My friend had oysters and that was ok I guess, I'm not a fan so didn't try. Once I advised the waitress that I didn't want the calamari, she never came back to the table. We had to ask another server to cancel our dinner order because we no longer wanted it. It had been over an hour at this point. We paid our ridiculous bill for one alcoholic beverage, a club soda and 6 oysters and went to eat at another restaurant. This place is overpriced for the portion size and has a horrible wait time for your food. I hate to see them on a busy night. Would not recommend,

I came by with a co-worker for there lunch special. I had a hard time finding the place using Google maps and did edit the correct location for all others. Plenty of parking and inside the decor was nice. My co-worker had an emergency and our server quickly got the rest of our meal out. Also boxes our desserts. She did great. I've always heard don't eat salmon and a steakhouse but that rule does not take an effect at this establishment. The salmon was great! I'll return another day

Donuts

Went for the happy hour menu , It was very good except for the donuts( regular menu) they were stale.

Good happy hour menu but the food was under par. Ordered Wagyu taco (best thing we tried), calamari (returned it not good at all), meatballs (decent) and ordered the miami spice menu burrata appetizer was mediocre. Upgraded to rib eye too bad it came out cold. Dessert with the ice cream was not good at all. Pretty bad experience won't come back

Paper Plane

STK has an awesome happy hour that goes until 6:30pm. We had some delicious drinks and bites. My favorite drink was the Paper Plane. The happy hour bites were also great. Really enjoyed the burger and the steak frites - really everything we had was great. Service was awesome and we sat outside on a perfect weather evening which made it extra nice.

We were very welcomed walking through the door. We were offered seating inside or out. The Floridians feel the weather is too muggy to sit outside, we were more than happy to do so. A word of caution, you are on a very busy street when you sit outside, so there is a good deal of traffic noise. To begin, they bring out a plate of four types of bread, along with a tray with green and black olives and a red tangy spread. This was quite good. We started out with an empanada appetizer. You have a choice of four kinds, we went with spinach. Before the appetizer arrived, the waitress brought out a plate of bread and olives. We are off to an excellent start. When the empanadas showed up, we were provided 8 cups of dips, six of which were different toppings to put on the appetizer. We tried them all. From barbecue sauce to salt, hummus, and a tomato based sauce, we had fun tasting the different flavors. For the entree, both of us went with the Outside skirt steak. We went this route as it was recommended by the waitress as one of their more signature dishes. We went with it prepared, medium. A short time later, the meal arrived, both of which were the 14 ounce portion. They do offer a larger portion if you're super hungry. The steak was slightly overcooked, but not enough to ruin the mood. The steak was flavorful, but a bit on the fatty side. I get the fat as it adds flavor so it really was not an issue. The meals come à la carte. So we ordered steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries. Overall good experience. A place I would return to again.

Very upscale, classy and romantic. We were seated in a very comfortable plush booth and were greeted by our server, Amalya, who was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We planned to share a few appetizers and a meal. We ordered the Japanese Gyoza tray, which was delicious and satisfying. For our main dish, we ordered the Lobster Spaghetti and soon as we took a bite, we both said "Mmmmm!". It was very good with perfect seasoning and nice sized lobster pieces. Good pick. We added the HH Truffle fries as a side and they were extra special. We had a very nice birthday meal. Parking is close by in a huge parking lot. It is ADA compliant as is Joey. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. They have a tree in the middle that gives it an outdoor open feel. And an incredible wine display in the back. Our waitress, from Portugal, did a great job of explaining the menu to us and guiding us on what to order. We started off with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau which are cod fritters and OMG they were sooo good! These tasted identical to the ones we've eaten in Lisbon. It comes with the classic pairing of black eyed peas which are awesome when eaten together. We also tried the Chouriço Assado which the presentation when its brought to the table is a treat itself. It comes out on a flaming pig and then its sliced tableside. Our waitress recommended trying the chorizo with the piri piri sauce which is slightly spicy and it was delicious. It added another layer of flavor. For entree we got the Paelha Marinheira which was absolutely amazing. First off, its a huge portion and comes piping hot. Each bite was full of seafood. We added the lobster which was perfection. It's great to share between 2 people. For dessert we ended with the pasteis de nata and its great because it brings 2 pastries and we paired it with ice cream. It makes for the perfect sweet treat without being too much. The pasteis de nata is served slightly warm and is perfect with the cool ice cream. Overall great restaurant for some Portuguese cuisine.

It tasted wonderful, but was different from the traditional pastel de nata because it had cinnamon and powdered sugar on top, and personally I like the traditional plain version better. My port (sweet wine) was a delicious accompaniment. Service was very attentive. Interior is small and cozy. Plenty of parking.

Bye Bye Houston's Aventura…read more I've been a customer of Houston's Aventura for many years. For a long time, my friends and I used to come here every Friday. Unfortunately, over time the service declined to the point where it felt like they were doing everything possible to make us uncomfortable and rush us out. Eventually, they succeeded -- we stopped coming altogether. After a long break, I decided to give the restaurant another chance today. That was a mistake. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye, and when it arrived, the meat was extremely tough. I brought this to their attention, and the manager came over and apologized -- but that was it. No replacement dish was offered, and the item was not removed from the bill. An apology alone does not fix a bad dining experience, especially at this price point. This visit confirmed how far Houston's Aventura has fallen. I live in Aventura, and I constantly hear people talking about how poorly customers are being treated at this location. Based on our experiences, my family and I have decided we will not return. Final thoughts: Houston's Aventura is seriously damaging its reputation. The service and food quality no longer match what this restaurant used to be or what it charges. If you enjoy this style of restaurant, I highly recommend J. Alexander's instead. Equal or better quality, excellent service, and outstanding food -- including thin, crispy fries like Houston's used to have, great artichokes, ribeye, and baby back ribs. Truly excellent. Bye bye, Houston's.
