We get both an internal and external treatment done to help out with mosquitos and ticks and the spiders. Mike comes and sprays the outside monthly in the non winter months while Corey comes in and does the spraying quarterly. We don't see Mike at times but we see Corey as he is inside and when we talk he is very informative and I learn a lot even things outside of bugs, pests, and rodents. I had gotten quotes from a couple other places as well and I thought them to be fair but mostly connecting with the people that work there that they know what they are doing. A lot less bugs which I appreciate. If I need them to come back and do more they will and that's what's great about them.

Personally not being a huge fan of insects I decided I would hire a company to come and take care of the problem for me. When I first called the rep on the other line was very helpful and even offered a discount when I was a little sticker shocked by the price so right off the bat I was impressed with their customer service which is why I perused Orkin Pest Control. Setting up the initial visit was simple and I was excited to finally get this bug situation under control. As the day of the initial visit came closer there was no email confirmation or reminder text, leaving me a little unsure if they had still planned on arriving. But the day of the initial visit I had revived texts and phone calls about the estimated time of arrival which was nice. The tech showed up right when he said he would, was very friendly and professional. However he said he was uninformed that cobweb removal was a service I wanted done that day but he was still happy to help. After spraying all the windows and doorways he grabbed his brush for removing cobwebs and headed to my basement where the situation had gotten bad over the last few weeks for no apparent reason. I waited upstairs while he worked and after about 10 minutes he came back up said I was all set and went on his way. I went down to check, with low expectations given he was only down there for 10 minutes and my basement was literally covered with cobwebs from top to bottom, only to find that every cobweb was still in its place. Extremely disappointed I contacted Orkin and let them know of my situation. I spoke with a different rep this time to which she said "The tech who helped you today will reach out, and you can set up a time for him to come back and touch up the areas he missed." 1. That's like slightly awkward to have the guy who I just placed a complaint about call me back and set up a time for him to come back into my home? Lol 2. Never got a call back so after a week I reached out to Orkin and set up another appointment. Spoke with yet a different rep who assured me that the 1st tech would not be the same one to come and touch up what was missed with the initial visit. I asked about cobwebs removal and explained thats the main thing I wanted taken care of and the rep said "They should remove the ones they can see and that they can reach with their brush without having to move your personal items." That being said I made sure everything in my basement was away from the cobwebs I wanted removed. Most of them were in the baseboards of the ceiling or doorways or corners where I didn't have any personal items in the first place (I have an unfinished basement). When the day came for the second visit (at no charge which was nice) I had high hopes that this time the cobwebs would be taken care of. The tech was different from the first, also kind and professional, so I went into this with a little more hope. But to my demise, cobwebs are still in corners, still in doorways, still visible and I'm left disappointed. I plan on canceling my membership with Orkin. I understand they are not a house cleaning service but if cobweb removal is a service they provide and I'm paying for that service, I would expect it to be done right the first time. If I wanted to do it myself for free I would but I would rather pay a professional to come out and do it properly so you can imagine I'm rather disappointed when it takes two men to come out and clean them and still not do it right.

It was clearly highlighted on our contract but they said they didn't or couldn't see the paperwork. Absolutely unacceptable because that is how the company bases their charges. We happened to actually be home at the time and we called immediately and the woman told us that they did spray the backyard. Now... how would she know that? After arguing for a few minutes they reluctantly came back. After that incident we just lost trust in mosquito squad especially since they usually come during the day when no one was home. It was a leap of faith for us to believe that they actually did what they said they were going to do. Last year we still had to use bug spray while outside in the yard. Not sure what happened from the 2013 season to the 2014 season but it was enough to discontinue the service this year. I will say though that when it was working... it was great.

This year he also sprayed our 1/3 acre site for mosquitos. Very successful! Now we can work out in the yard without getting eaten up. Good Work!
