Had them replace a battery in my watch less than a year ago. It died. Took it to another business who informed me that the battery that Stewart's installed was the wrong battery. Stewart's are a joke and don't know what they are doing. read more

Highly recommended on the community facebook page I brought a watch here to be serviced, cleaned and repaired. I was greeted abruptly by an unfriendly woman, who asked what I wanted. I didnt even get to finish what I was saying before she grabbed the watch from me, told me it wouldn't be waterproof anymore if she changed the battery and that if the battery change didnt fix it, it could cost me $400.00. I never finished getting anything else done there and I will never return. However the jewelery store attached was much more pleasant experience. read more

Had the opportunity to drop my watch off at Stewart's Horology on a recent visit to Winnipeg. Although the establishment was highly recommended for expensive watches, I was thoroughly disappointed. I gave them a watch for an exterior cleaning and when it came back the watch lost its shine. The clasps were not thoroughly cleaned and the wrist band looked brushed/streaked. In general, the glimmer was gone. I can't recommend Stewart's Horology for expensive watches. Good luck in Winnipeg! read more

I took an antique pocket watch to them, possibly for cleaning, and/or repair. Besides teaching me a few things about the workings and the condition of the watch, I was told the watch was in very good condition and didn't need any servicing. This just doesn't happen much in my experience. I will definitely be back with any other repair/cleaning work I may need in the future. Stewarts provides excellent service and the professional staff are wonderful! I took in my daughter's Tissot watch, which I had taken to another jeweller for a battery change and it had stopped running (it turns out they had forgotten to tighten a screw). The watchmaker at Stewart's knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it right away....without even charging me! It is difficult to find people who will fix a quartz watch, my experience has been that they send them away to Toronto. Stewart's was great, and I will definitely recommend them to everyone as well as take all my watches there in the future for service. I'm so glad I found them! read more
