Took 08 accord in to check AC.. it had slowly stopped cooling .. it was 1/2 low on Freon they topped it off still no cool .. my heart sank .. they said "let us check further" ... he came out holding a $12.50 relay in his hands that said was keeping compressor and said local auto supply had it on the way .. they could have charged me an arm and leg and I would not have questioned .. it is working great after a 1500 mile trip.. On our way home from our annual family camping at the Nueces River and our check Engine light went on along with the traction light so we pulled over at the O'Reilly's in Hondo for a quick diagnostic that stated multiple misfires detected. A quick yelp search showed Stewart's as the closest auto shop but the reviews had me question whether we should stop here but thank goodness we did. Reed and his wife Deborah were amazing and so hospitable. They are the new owners and today is their one year anniversary. So don't let those old reviews deter you from taking your vehicle to get serviced here. After a vacation all you want to do is get home and we still had 4 hours to get to Houston and thought we would be waiting hours but thanks to Reed in less than an hour and a half he had ordered the ignition coil had it delivered, removed, and replaced and we were back on the road and headed home and there wasn't any sticker shock when we paid so that was greatly appreciated. read more

Alternator went out on the highway. Had to be towed to Stewert's. (recommended by a kind man who stopped to check on us when we stopped on the shoulder of the road.) Their town got hit that night with a tornado and softball-sized hail. Knocked out the power in most of the town for 12 hours. Plus, of course, they had lots of emergency work with shattered windshields and glass, etc. Still, they got our car repaired on the second day there, and at a price that, while not low, was well within range, and not heart stopping. Took my Silverado to Stewarts for a brake job. After being quoted about $550 dollars the charged me $1011.00. The only parts extra was wheel cylinders and rear wheel bearing and seal. Total for extra parts was $160.00 They did such a good job I only had to take it back twice. They were so fast, only worked on it for 5.80 hours and that took them 2 days. I will never go back to them and I hope you don't either. read more

They had our vehicle for months. Never could properly diagnose it. Everyone employee we spoke to said something different. The woman at the service desk is a monster. She has zero customer service skills. We finally took our car somewhere else after 4 months of back and forth and waiting. I ignored the reviews...lesson learned for me...I strongly advise others from going here. Once we towed it to the new place, they had it diagnosed in a couple days and fixed a couple days later....we lost months to Stewart's. read more

I had an electrical problem with my Acura RL. It wouldn't start at times. Other times it would just die. I called Dean and he came and towed my car to his shop at no charge. It turned out to be a short in a wire controlling the flow of fuel from the tank. They found it quick. The price was good. I've used them on a couple of other issues and they have always been fair on price and didn't take forever to fix the problem. I have an engine light on and will drop car off there this week. read more

i went to stewarts on a recommendations from a few other people but i'm sure if you had a 1971 ford ltd you MIGHT be able to get something done right. i took my 2003 focus to him because of an overheating issue and ended up spending a little over $600 to fix it but not even a week later it started doing the exact same thing turns out the mechanic only replaced a relay and called it fixed when the real problem was a burned wire under the fuse box which was fixed with a $3 butt connector that my 23 year old son figured out in about 5 minutes. You would think these guys would be a little more professional or actually know what they are doing i would not recommend these guys to any one for anything automotive i'm sure there are far better mechanics around. read more
