Urgent care is second floor, podiatry is first by checkin (pharmacy is next to checkin). Radiology and labs is further down on first floor. Internal medicine etc is also second floor.

My husband had to call and threaten to leave a review the prior year in order to speak to someone- which at that point after the threat they were able to "find" an appointment a week later. This is horrific healthcare service and honestly negligent to treat their patients this way. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Every shift from the aides to the nurses to all other staff wa s like you were their family. The facility was immaculate and always checking on the patients. I was there for most of her last days and they kept checking on me also . Even when I had a breakdown, they would hug me with care. Even the administrator came daily to check in. I really like the hours (open evenings/I can get an appointment after work). The other great thing is there is a lot under one roof--I've had x-rays/ultrasounds and been to the lab plenty of times. If you are doing a fasting test, they'll fit you in in the morning if you want. I haven't always been able to see my primary doctor if I get sick, but I have really liked most of the PAs and NPs or covering doctors I've met. Sometimes you have to wait a long time on the phone, but it seems to depend on the time of day. I like that there are specialists, too, and they are with South Shore Hospital--I went here to see a podiatrist, got x-rays, and then he did my surgery at the affiliated Ambulatory surgery center in Hingham. Then I had follow-up appointments with him and x-rays here again to check on the healing, so all in the one system, without having to go to Boston--and the surgery turned out great (he did the other foot the next year). My pain is gone when I walk, so this was wonderful.

The nurse practitioner I saw was very dismissive, wasn't particularly personable, nor seemed to care. She spent more time yelling at her staff outside of my room, all of which were pleasant and respectful towards me, before writing me off. The care I recieved from her was inattentive (she looked at her computer more than me) and downright awful (I really shouldn't feel bad about seeking care after an exposure incident, but I did after her), but the rest of the staff was nice. I honestly felt bad for them. I would never go here fo a personal reason, and if I ever need medical care for work related reasons (hopefully never again) I'll go to a further away clinic. Again, the support staff was good, but the NP I saw was awful.

I told my pcp soon after what I had told Diane and she took me seriously and ran blood work. Sure enough, I was right and got to an RE right after. This review is about both Whitman and Weymouth offices…read more I'm not sure what the bad reviews were about but South Shore Women's Health has been amazing and professional! Every single staff member who my husband and I encountered have been amazingly helpful, attentive, and professional. Check in was an easy process, the wait time was never longer than 5 mins in the actual lobby and 10 mins in the provider's office. It was confusing at first because I had chosen a doctor, but soon realized that they had many providers there so you don't actually get to see the OBGYN that you choose. You also don't see the same NP twice, but if you schedule your appointments wisely and request to see the same NP, they will accommodate you. The ultrasound techs were efficient and professional. I kind of assumed that they aren't allowed to answer any questions or tell you anything, so I remained quiet during the process. After the US, they quickly typed up their notes and that gets passed to the NP. Our NP, Diane, was also very good. She was really happy, but considering our situation (we had a miscarriage), you have to be right? She provided us options, explained and reexplained things thoroughly, and had a "let's move forward" approach. One suggestion that I would make is for patients to be proactive about asking questions, seeing records, and reading their notes. I don't think I requested to see the US or asked her to explain them and I regret not doing that. Because of the miscarriage, I had to have a D&C. After all we've been through, I was extremely frightened about the D&C procedures and called the nurse at SSWH several times. The nurses (especially Abby-I think?) were understanding, proactive, and were honest if they didn't know something. She immediately called Dr. Johnson for answers to my questions, and got back to me in minutes. She had other nurses follow up as well. The D&C was performed at South Shore Hospital and the staff there could not have been better! However, Dr. Johnson was by far the best. He had a crazy morning, and although delayed, when he got to us, he spent a lot of time talking about what happened, the procedure, and post-op. He reviewed everything with us thoroughly, discussed the risks, abated my fears, and ensured that all questions were answered. The procedure went fine of course and he took the time to check in with both my husband and me. It was just nice because he wasn't all business. He was kind, caring, and understanding. We decided to meet again when I do become pregnant! The procedure is not one that any future mothers would ever look to have done, but I am blessed to have the strong team from SSWH and SSH looking after me.
