She's in school in Fort Worth and got the ticket just before school got out for the summer making it impossible for her to handle in-person in court as she was home in CA for the summer. Since she has a CA license, she was ineligible to sign herself up for a TX driver's safety course to avoid points on her license. However, Hawkins & Walker appeared on her behalf and was able to get a deferred disposition which dismisses the case upon paying a fine, completing the driver's safety course (now qualifies thanks to H&W!), and no new tickets for the next couple of months.
