Their nursery is located close to Kilwinning Cemetery and not far from the main town centre itself but they will happily deliver anything which is generally the easiest way to arrange things. Whilst stood waiting for my order, what seemed to be the proprietor's brother in law arrived in store with his wife. Speaking to his daughter, and less than 4 feet or so from myself, I was treated to the delight that was his clumsy and dull-witted racist commentary, telling his young daughter she was dressed like a "gypo", and later that the scarf around her neck was like something "one of they Asian women would wear." After the 4th time of listening to this drivel, my goods were finally ready and I left. Only the fact of their urgency for today persuaded me to remain, as I was minded to just walk out and leave them all to it. The only thing worse than this individual's statements were his manners, not seeming aware that as a paying customer, I might in some way be offended by the filth he was spouting. I'm surprised the proprietor didn't ask him to desist either. Whether she was in agreement with him or not, it certainly tainted my perception of her business, which in that moment, did nothing to stop casual and caustic racist remarks against a child. It was hardly a fitting stereotype to imprint upon a child's mind, and certainly not what I'd expect from a 1st century Scottish business. Not a good experience!

When I ordered paid a deposit and was to pick up xmas eve no time was specified. As I was working my nephew went to pick them up. He arrived at 3.25 to be told they had been sold he was to be there by 3.00. I was not told 3.00 and surely I could at least have been contacted before they were sold. Obviously they wanted home early and to hell with customers that have paid a deposit in good faith. The wreaths were for me and my mum and even though the woman in question sold my nephew a inferior wreath she had left for my mum I was left with nothing to put at the graveside on xmas day. I am disgusted with the whole affair and would never go back to Alysons flowers and would recommend anyone thinking of giving them your custom go elsewhere because the service is nothing short of diabolical .
