If your child has autism or is nonverbal, I would strongly encourage you to carefully consider…read morewhether this daycare is the right fit. During my initial tour, I informed the daycare that my son has autism, and at that time they assured me it would not be an issue. When I later enrolled him, they again stated they were willing to give it a try, especially since he would only be attending on some weekends when there were fewer children, allowing him time to adjust. My son attended this daycare a total of five times. During those visits, I never received any complaints or concerning feedback. The only issue mentioned was that he did not want to nap, which is common for many children. I recently received a call informing me that they could no longer accommodate my son because he required one-on-one attention. Initially, no specific explanation was provided. After I called back seeking clarification, I was told that he had opened a door and attempted to go outside, had disrupted other children during nap time, and did not participate in the day's flashcard activity. I found these explanations concerning because when I picked him up on his last visit, I was told that other children had actually woken him from his nap. Additionally, I believe children in daycare should have opportunities to learn through play and socialize, not solely participate in structured activities. I am disappointed that after only five visits, the daycare decided they could no longer accommodate my son. If a facility is unable to support children with special needs, I believe this should be clearly communicated to families during the enrollment process. Every child deserves to be cared for in an environment where they are valued, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.

Shapes N' Colors is the most amazing daycare center I have ever had the pleasure of working at. I…read moreworked with Mary and her staff for multiple years and would still be there if I wasn't homeschooling my daughter full time. I have never met a woman so dedicated and amazing with children. From the moment I joined her team it was evident that she takes great pride in providing high quality child care. When I first applied I was hesitant because I had never worked at an in home facility and had the mindset that no in home facility could provide better care than a center. That quickly changed though as I went in for an interview and saw her business with my own eyes. I then decided I had to work there immediately and it only got better after I joined her team. While I was right about the center style care being different from in home care I had NEVER expected to say that an in home facility could provide such BETTER care. Here are some of the biggest differences and things I enjoyed most about working here at Shapes N Colors. - The child to staff ratio is so much nicer than many traditional centers. My preschool class had 8 students total and this small class ratio allowed for so much more one on one attention and learning. It allowed me to spend quality time catering to each of my students personal needs and learning style and if I ever needed assistance I had Mary right there to guide me. - It was so much cleaner than any other childcare facility I had worked at or visited during my application process at local daycares. Her home, classrooms, restroom, and outdoor area are always kept spotlessly clean. She and her staff have an amazing cleaning schedule that keep each area beautifully clean and sanitized which you can imagine takes lots of work when it comes to working with kids. I have never been to a cleaner facility. - I love the family aspect that the in home facility provides the children, families and staff. Everyone there makes you feel like you are apart of an amazing family. When I worked in a traditional center it was so much harder to stay connected and up to date with each child and their family. Here at Shapes N Colors one of the first things I noticed was how amazing Mrs.Mary's relationship was with each of the families and the children. I also got to experience these same experiences myself and the bonds I've made with so many of my children and their families will last with me forever. - Her staff is amazing and Mrs. Mary does such a great job ensuring that her staff gets the support they need and maintaining a great professional relationship with all of her staff! I got the chance to work with Mrs.Mary, Mrs.Ana, Miss Karla, and Miss Inez. All of these woman are amazing with children and work hard to keep the place fun, clean, and safe. They are beyond patient and kind with each of the kids and work hard to make each of the children's learning experience at Shapes N Colors special. All of that being said if you are looking for a high quality child care that you can trust look no further than Shapes N Colors! You truly won't find anywhere else like it!

Ms. Mary and her staff take such good care of all the children there. My baby always comes home well fed and clean. He's learning to do new things and interacts with the other children frequently. The older kids are always engaged in a fun lesson or actively playing together whenever I arrive for pick up. Their work is displayed and you can tell that there is a lot of care and knowledge put into the lessons. Can't recommend it enough.

The teachers are loving, the energy is great, and there is so much room for the kids to play everywhere: the inside play area is the size of the outside play area at our previous daycare, and the outside play area is HUGE (they have a new playground that's like a McDonald's Play Place). The kids eat in a separate cafeteria so they're not eating in their classrooms. There is a bathroom just for the kids with real, kid-sized toilets. The whole area has so much room for your kid to be a kid. Don't let the rest of the strip mall fool you. Yesenia has done (and continues to make) major improvements to the whole daycare center, both inside and outside in the back. She only wants the best :)

This facility focuses on the well-being and academic nature of your children and gives the kids a Headstart on curriculum that will prepare them for grade school. Not only does she teach the students, but she takes the time to learn your child individually, and that's a big factor for me because it lets me know that she see my child. My son is already bright however he was very reserved. He's been attending this school for a little over six or seven months now and he's doing phenomenal between the work of Miss Karen and I, he will be more than prepared for kindergarten!

What positive thing is there not to say about Sweetland Kids Daycare!…read more This day care was recommended to me by a work colleague of mine back in 2016 as I was getting back into working again a few months after having my daughter. The locations was perfect and convenient because it was close to home and I trusted my colleagues recommendation as finding a good daycare can be hard and full of question whether our children will be safe and well taken care of. Claudia is an AMAZING woman along with her husband William. Since day one, they went above and beyond to make me feel like my daughter was in a safe environment and having the best time, every time! They always sent me pictures of my daughter and her daycare friends playing and creating projects to bring home to their families! They would feed her and helped me with potty training as she got a little older. They've also helped me when my daughter started school. They were able to pick her up after school was let out and bring her to the daycare which helped alleviate stress of having to leave work and go back. They also teach the kids Spanish and read books together as a group! Sweetland kids has been a big part of my daughter's growing life since she was a baby and have been going here for 8-9 years! Thinking about a different daycare terrifies me as I don't think there's another daycare out there that can provide the same things that Sweetland has! I personally recommend this daycare to anyone who has time to read my review and who's looking for an exceptional daycare for their children! Thank you to my colleague who recommended Sweetland to us and thank you to this daycare for reassuring me year after year how wonderful it has been to be part of this daycare family!
