There's not a lot of zest in the sauce, which is something I rate high but not found in Australian pizza places ( I'm from California...land of zesty pizza sauce). Coming from a family that use to run a small pizzeria, and growing up with the spoils of a wood fire oven, its fair to say I've become a full blown pizza snob. Don't get me wrong I'll put that cardboard greasy crap in my body if I have to, but when a real pizza joint comes along I'm going to make a hoo-dee hoo about it. This is one of those occasions. Preston Lower isn't exactly the type of location that springs to mind when talking about pizza, and it shouldn't either really considering its lucky it even has a functioning supermarket on a good day. There are other nice pizza places around like Pizza Bar on High just before Bell St and The Moor's Head in Thornbury that fill a need, but there is just something about Noi that makes you feel at home. Maybe its having the oven out front for you to watch as your little round doughy drop of joy is cooking, the cosy setting, or the waiter eye candy, but you should give this place a chance and judge those buns for yourself. I mean pizza, judge the pizza. Which isn't just another over salted, cheesed up, puffed out, overloaded piece of mutant meal. Expect fresh toppings and wood fire aromas. I picked up a brochure and discovered it was "That's Amore" located in Thomastown! That's the place! They don't just sell cheese here either. If you love beautiful Italian cheese - imagine fresh tubs of ricotta & tasty pecorino, delicious ricotta canoli to have with coffee, or fancy mouth watering porchetta in a crispy bread roll, like those you may have tasted in a Perugian town in Italy, then you should definitely visit That's Amore.

Trying to appeal to a larger clientele than junk food junkies, these fish n chips are packaged in nice, tidy boxes, and the menu has more on offer than the norm. The gnocchi is made in house and are light and pillowy. The sauce is a creamy napoli with olives, sun dried tomatoes, avocado and chicken which is absolutely delicious.
