Oh my....I believe I just fell in love!…read more I stumbled across this jewel of a coffee shop early one morning and decided to make this my new haven during my stay here in Mülheim. This place caught my eye immediately and I simply HAD to enter - once I did, I was blown away by the interieur. It's situated in a small side street just off the Schloßstraße, with plenty of seats outside - it doesn't look like too much from the outside (apart from just cute), but have a look inside!!! This must seriously be the coziest spot in this entire town! The atmosphere is truly great, very friendly and homely, the staff is absolutely nice and attentive. It might take a little longer because there's usually just one or two people behind the counter, juggling all the coffee-making and food preparation while taking new orders at the same time, but it's definitely worth the wait! The coffee is good - as in, really good! Apart from that, there is a huge selection of drinks, some also come with a certain 'kick' (as in alcohol, duh!). The food is scrumptious and quite exceptional, it's all homemade, and I am sure I saw some vegetarian/vegan choices as well. I tried one of the homemade cookies (chocolate-coconut) and it was without a doubt the best cookie I have tried in years!!! There's a variety of breakfast dishes to chose from as well. This is one of the places, where I am absolutely certain that my words cannot even come close to describing the "amazingness" of the location - so you'll just have to take my word for it: if you ever end up in Mülheim, try this café! You won't regret it! There are hot dogs and burgers with all sorts of toppings. Regular sandwiches, salads, pancakes, other breakfast items and a few more options to pick from. SERVICE I have read some reviews before I went here and a lot of reviews pointed out the excellent service. Well, I can only agree. The service is outstanding. The waitress I had during my visit was very friendly, attentive and on top super cute and attractive. ATMOSPHERE The interior design alone is worth coming here for. Usually a lot of the new places go for the more industrial look. Very sleek and modern. This one is very old fashioned but in a stylish way. There are so many details to enjoy. It felt like stepping back in time. Sit, relax, enjoy your food and a wonderful service. RATING In my opinion only the execution of the food had some minor issues.
