Peter installed a 30-amp circuit breaker so I could use the proper adaptor for my new Tesla Model 3. He was organized, efficient, careful, obviously knew exactly what he was doing, explained the process to me as he worked, and did not leave until my system was tested and, because my adaptor had not yet arrived from Tesla, left me his adaptor to work with until mine arrived. Peter was great. I originally was contacting a company on Tesla's list to install a 240 outlet in my garage to charge my Tesla. But that company was all over the place and not nearly as professional as I'd hoped. I also had a recommendation on that list for Peter, which was backed up by a bunch of other people in my neighborhood ...and he was perfect. He had no problem coming out and looking at the set up and giving an honest estimate as opposed to just texting back and forth photos at random hours like the other company. I hired Peter to install a Tesla wall charger after a recommendation from Tesla. Peter said he would be by at 2pm on a Saturday. He texted me to let me know he was running 15 minutes late. After inspecting the site, Peter promised me the job would be done by the end of the day and he kept his word. He finished the job in the dark, working by the light of his head lamp. Peter takes obvious pride in his work. The conduits he installed were perfectly level. He neatly caulked the junction box he installed. He vacuumed up the work site when he was finished. He is also extremely cautious and he double and triple checked his own work. When he was done, Peter didn't rush off. He demonstrated how to secure the charging handle. He showed me how to take off the wall charger cover and how to change the DIP switches to draw more or less power. He made sure the car was charging to its full potential before he left. Trust Peter. He keeps his word on time and price. Peter was running late on a Friday and had gigs lined up through 730pm. I was really desperate to get my Tesla Wall Charger plugged as I commute for work and travel almost daily. Waiting in a Tesla Charging line and having to walk around the mall on my weekend gets pretty tiring and to be honest,...those extra calories at the food court were weighing down my thighs and thus my weekend dance moves. Peter texted me and told me he was running late but would text me no matter what. Not only did Peter show up on Friday night, he didn't charge me an extra rate for late night work. He worked with his head lamp and proficiently, professionally, with perfect level alignment...installed my Tesla Wall Charger. It is beautiful . He refused to leave until i tried to charge my Car and he verified everything was working. While he was packing up, he explained to me more about the quality of the charger I just bought. He gave me recommendations on how to make sure the handle didn't slip and fall/crack. He walked me through taking off the cover if I ever had to change the dip switches for a higher amp rating/circuit, and then proceeded to double verify his work. Peter felt he need to do more to secure the conduit to the back wall of my yard, so he set up an appointment with me tomorrow. This was a level of professionalism I didn't expect finishing at past 10pm at night. Peter picked up everything. He put everything he didn't need into the Tesla box; told me what things I would need to save (and what they were for). For the record, I am Korean and Peter is a white dude. Peter just completed the installation of the electric vehicle charger at our Vacation Rental in Pacific Beach. This was an incredibly challenging installation, due to a variety of factors: An older multi-unit building with only a 90-Amp breaker for the unit, long distance and many pipes and other installations on the way from electrical room to parking spot, and the requirement not to encroach on the neighboring parking spot. Since 90 Amps would not be enough to power the condo under full load and the vehicle charger at the same time, Peter had to get creative. He researched the options, including getting a dedicated meter. He recommended using an intelligent switch called "DCC-9" that routes power to the charger whenever the condo isn't using too much load. This saved us the major hassle, time and money for getting a new meter. The install itself brought many challenges - particularly the many water and drain pipes that were near the path of the conduit route approved by the HOA. Peter worked diligently around all the constraints, and made it happen! Thanks to Peter's hard work, Bluhaus is the only Vacation Rental in Pacific Beach that currently has an electric vehicle charger. read more

I called a couple of home charging plug installers from the Tesla website, Peter was one of them. One company quoted me thousands of dollars ($2400 if I recall) to run 70 feet of ugly conduit from my panel to my garage and install the charger. Peter took the time on the phone to break down what my expected costs should be item by item. (including parts which he estimated to be $20 so I knew he was not one of those quote with huge margins kind of invoice-padders...) I felt he was an honest person who knew his trade and would be thorough and detail oriented. He did not give the impression that if you can afford a new car then you can afford to hand out cash freely to any passerby. When he arrived he was very knowledgeable and spent real time in my panel investigating my situation. (My house is older and I was worried how many amps my wiring could safely pull, as we were also installing solar so we had some unknowns to mix in) So after thoroughly investigating my panel and explaining to me some options, he then examined my garage. And upon testing the current, low and behold wouldn't you know he called my attention to the fact that I already was set up for an adequate outlet which was not being used...! I would most definitely hire him again and you should too, assuming you are in the market for an honest and hard working technician who is highly qualified and behaves as if you deserve the kind of service he would provide for his own family members.
