Although a tad expensive, their steak fajitas and day and night cake are FANTASTIC. You could literally feed this to me for the rest of my life. I do have to add the service isn't amazing, maybe a 3/5 (depends on who's there that night), and I would recommend asking them to go slow on the salt for your steak. I had the Pancetta Tenderloin with herbs and it was amazing. Cooked perfect and a super juicy MED. My waitress recommended a very good Czech red that went great with the steak. The portion size was huge for the price and my steak was perfectly medium-rare, just how I like it. The food was well seasoned, and not too salty. My boyfriend tried the burger and was very impressed as well. We're extremely picky when it comes to burgers and although Brno offers many burger restaurants, it's rare to come by a place that actually impresses us. For 2 people we paid around 750kc, which is a bit above the average of 500-600, but for the amount of food and the high quality, it's definitely worth it.

It's an unassuming place in an unassuming neighborhood. If you ask they will dig up menus in English but there were no tourists here or anywhere near here. You wouldn't have any reason to go to this part of town and even if you did, you'd walk right by this place. Anyway, the food. It was recommended to us by a local for having authentic Czech food. There are items officially certified as prepared to certain standards of authenticity and quality. I tried one of those, spareribs in honey chili sauce served with a cabbage salad, horse radish and mustard. Yeah, amazing. Great flavor and quite complex. My vegetarian wife reluctantly ordered the pickled brie salad with mustard dressing. She said her meal was great about three times and she doesn't fake it. Cost for two entrees, a side dish plus bottled water and two shots of plum brandy was $18.

It was just your standard cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, onions and what seemed like purple eggplant (I think). I wouldn't order it again and would try their other veggie dishes. The pork ribs was a great bang for your buck! We ordered the large size to share between me and my boyfriend. A whooping 2.2 lbs/1000 grams of meat with only one bone total on the whole platter! That's right, all the pieces but one were boneless! Since the pieces were so thick and meaty, some parts were dry but it was still delicious and the price, quality, flavor and amount was unbeatable so I'm still giving 5 stars (It would be a different story if I was paying a lot more). Then they brought what we ordered and told me that I am now unable to order anything else because I "let the friend sip from my beer" and "they have seen it on the cameras". Best part is I didn't let him sip of my beer, noone at the table did so the accussation was a straight up lie based on something they literally couldn't see because it didn't happen. Worst. Service. Ever.
