The shop is very inviting and comfortable Erik the owner is who does my tattoos I have now had my 10th session with him 4 of witch were cover ups his work speaks for it self he is light handed and gets alot done in a short period of time. My review is for the artist Shannon McCauley at this location, as I have only been tattooed by this artist at this shop. I started following Shannon last year on Instagram when she first started drawing flash and dreaming of starting to tattoo. Her work was colorful, true to the Traditional style and yet somewhat whimsical. Once she started apprenticing, I kept an eye on her progress, hoping she would advance enough where I'd feel comfortable letting her tattoo me. Last year over the summer, her skill had really started to develop and take off and when she was having holiday specials this past December, I decided to take her up on a sitting. Shannon was professional, friendly, and transparent about the process. She reworked the chosen flash quickly and even customized it with some text at no additional charge. She did well getting the stencil on quickly and efficiently. While in the chair, Shannon let me lead the way in conversation, it seemed she was really perceptive to whether me as a new client was a little of an introvert (and well, nervous for meeting someone offline for the first time), but by twenty minutes in, we had established such a friendly rapport, it was like hanging out with a friend. The tattoo was sufficient for someone who is still developing her skill, and Shannon is very much transparent with this information, and prices her pieces accordingly. After three months, the tattoo is still bold, without any significant muddling or blowout. I'd consider myself a tattoo collector of sorts. I've been tattooed by some of the US's leading industry professionals and know the culture pretty well, and Shannon is definitely a like minded individual. My first impression of the shop was how clean and non-intimidating the space was. I was a bit nervous because this was my first tattoo and I'd never set foot in a tattoo shop before, however I was put at ease the moment I walked in. I had called about 20 minutes beforehand to see if they would take me as a walk-in the same evening to do a small tattoo (a copy of my dad's signature on my wrist). The girl on the phone said she could probably fit me in if I didn't mind waiting a few minutes while she finished up another piece. So I made my way over to the shop, and was greeted by one of the owners (I believe it was Erik), who asked what I was looking to do. I explained and he said it would be no problem and that Ashli would be able to help me out in about 30 minutes. Waiting was no problem thanks to the easy-going atmosphere and abundance of artwork to admire on the walls. As far as the design goes, I had brought in a copy of my dad's signature to have tattooed on my wrist. Ashli suggested adding a heart or something similar, and we settled on a cancer ribbon (as my dad passed from cancer). She showed me three different designs, one of which was spot on and fit my personality perfectly. Her work was efficient yet meticulous, and I am incredibly happy with the finished result! I'm technologically inept so I don't know if the photo I uploaded will link to this review. I was fine with anyone there doing my tattoo since I looked at their work online, but as it ended up, Toby did a really nice job. Even though I was just getting a pretty basic tattoo (all black, no shading, and I was picky about the design so I drafted it up myself), I wanted to go somewhere with good feedback because my last tattoo four-ish years ago was blurry looking like... right away. I'm glad I came here, will definitely come back for any future tattoos. The detailing is well done. And price wise, it wasn't bad at all. He was on the "mild" side for talking, but that suites me fine! The decor of the shop is also very nice -- clean and it looks like the "after" shot of one of those shows that do makeovers for businesses. read more

My profile picture is a piece I had done at Steadfast Tattoo earlier this year. I have numerous tattoos as well done from a different shop. I have to honestly say I have never had more compliments on any of my work than i have from my 2 pieces I had done by Tommy. After being referred to their shop from a good friend, who also has many amazing pieces by the artists there, I decided to give them a chance. After the amazing work and the overall experience of their shop I will never go to another shop again! In the past I spent over $2,000 total in a different shop only to be treated very poorly! Steadfast was a total different experience! I got to speak directly to Tommy and explain what ideas I had and asked him to take my ideas and make my piece original and unique!! I could not have been more satisfied with the outcome!! Even better than I had originally envisioned!! If you want a great tattoo experience in an extremely clean shop, with excellent products, actually get treated with respect, and have fun with some pretty cool guys, then I would by far recommend this shop to anyone!! I've had two great pieces and plan on many more!! APPALLED. won't speak about the shop as a whole bc i barely experienced it as a whole, i was so upset and disgusted with the artist i got, Shannon McCauley (?) i am light skin black (you wouldn't know it at all) and when i was tying my hair up she commented on the 'weird kink' of it. i explained i'm black and she said something along the lines of 'white people wanna be oppressed so bad smh.' i brushed this off and let her prep me for the tattoo, but the comments did. not. stop. she didn't go so far to outright call me a racist, but it was HEAVILY implied and she made out loud comments of disgust while touching me. she told me she hoped the needle hurt more than it usually did. i was so horribly disgusted and repulsed i didn't know what to do except leave afterward and try to think about it on my own time. i thought i was overreacting until my friend who accompanied me said the same things. i hope she has other negative comments on here, because the shop seemed nice enough until i had this experience with her. she needs to go. thanks a lot Shannon for being completely unprofessional and completely trashing the reputation of this business. horrifying. read more

Naturally after you get "let go" from your job, you go get a tattoo! I've personally known all three (Erik, Toby and Tommy) of these guys for years, but i finally spent time with them on a "professional" level. Toby really made my day by not just being really patient with me, but helping me come to a decision and tattooing a mighty fine tank on me. I highly recommend any of these guys. I've had two fairly large pieces done with Erik. In both cases - they were custom jobs. Erik shared his vision and creativity for both and his talent and skill are obvious to anyone who sees what he's done for me. The shop is squeaky-clean and everyone there is friendly and accommodating... even the folks stopping in to just say hello to the staff. I met with Dewey and showed him my idea to commemorate my Ironman race...just wanted a date and the distance put on my ankle. His work was EXACTLY what I wanted. He captured the subtle details of the numbers perfectly. I am very pleased with his work. Although this piece wasn't particularly difficult, I would definitely recommend him in the future. So disappointed. Went here due to high yelp reviews... First time there they were nice, artist was newer then another which made me nervous but continued. Needed a touch up much sooner then I would've anticipated, not even a touch up but just a fix for the disappointing look. All of a sudden the tattoo artist was flipping around everything she told me at the original appointment, which was ONLY 3 weeks ago!
