We were a group of 5 here for dinner; food, ambiance, service - all excellent. We were seated in…read morethe back room in a spacious booth, and had three very lovely servers waiting on our table.
The restaurant serves smallish plates that come out as they are ready, and are meant for sharing. Like 'tapas' but the variety was beyond the typical meat and cheese and olives you usually choose from at a Spanish tapas place.
We each ordered 2 dishes so we could also enjoy wine and have dessert. There were tuna tartar (not pictured), beef tournedos, 3 orders of cauliflower, whipped feta, salmon blado, smoked eel (not pictured), prawn wontons and oysters. For dessert the cheesecake.
My personal favorites were the cauliflower, which was cooked perfect with a light batter, just the right balance of sweet and spicy, a generous portion which could have easily been shared; and the whipped feta, which was complex with the pomegranate arils and asparagus.
Those eating meat and fish enjoyed their meals too, as all the plates were cleared! The standouts were the salmon blado, with the pickles and spicy sauce, and the beef tournedos with the miso gravy.
In the end, after 2.5 hrs of eating and drinking, we were all pretty full and only wanted a little dessert, so we shared the cheesecake - very light and very sweet - and plenty for us all to have a couple spoons.
This was the second visit for 3 members of our group, and our first visit. We all agreed we would return!
