These people are the worst people imaginable. We used a moving broker, Cross Country Moving Group. They selected State to State Logistics as the moving company to move our 2 businesses and our household from California to Texas. It started out rough and got worse from there. We were led to believe that they would bring an 18-wheel truck to pick up. When the movers arrived to load the truck, they had 2-26 ft box trucks. The lead guy looked at everything we needed to transport, loaded his trucks about 2/3 full and said, "we can't take anymore, we have to get three more trucks. It will cost a lot more money". After much negotiation, they filled their trucks with what they could and left. We had to hire an equipment mover to take our big equipment, and rent 2 U-haul trucks to take everything else that we could fit in the trucks. We had to leave a lot of stuff behind. When we got to Texas, we called to see when the goods would be delivered. We were told that the driver would call 24 to 48 hours before he arrived. We had been told that everything would be at our new location in 3 or 4 days from when it left California. I called multiple times to get an idea about when they would arrive so we could be available for delivery. The phone calls always had the same response "driver will call 24 to 48 hours before delivery" and in the background was a heavily-accented man screaming angrily at the girl who was talking to me. Three weeks later, we finally got a call from a person with a Russian accent to tell us he was ready to deliver our goods. His accent was so difficult to understand I asked him to text me. He declined to send a text message. He wanted to deliver on a Saturday night - in a residential area! - and was angry when I said that was not possible. He said we had to pay him more money. He said we had to hire more people to unload the truck. He threatened to return our goods to California. We had to hire a third party to help unload the trucks before we were able to get our stuff. There was so much breakage it's hard to describe. I have a sewing business and moved 11 sewing machines to Texas. Every single one was damaged. Boxes had obviously been thrown around and dropped. File cabinets had something dropped on them so that the top of the cabinets were dented and crushed inside the top drawer. After several weeks of searching through boxes looking for things, I realized that the delivery persons in Texas had packed all our equipment that left California in 2 trucks into 1 truck. Obviously, some of our business equipment and supplies and some of our household goods never arrived at our location. The delivery persons were among the most horrid people I have ever met. Careless, angry, unskilled, uncaring, unreliable. Our goods were maliciously damaged by these people. Our savings were virtually wiped out by this moving company and their business practices. If you are considering a move, stay away from State to State Logistics. And if you use a broker, be sure they stay away from State to State Logistics too. read more

Challenging company to work with. Waited a few days to write the review to settle into the new place and reflect on their overall service. Two areas of decent customer service: 1)The two movers did a great job of moving my items. They were fast and efficient and careful with my items. I would not hesitate to recommend them. 2) Reasonable cost for a simple move to a new apartment less than a mile from the original. Quote came quickly. Reviews looked good. The company has a good reputation. The difficulties I experienced came when working with the company itself. Logistics were, by far, the worse I have ever experienced. And I have moved often as a military wife. I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY FURTHER MOVES. 1) I was asked by the quoter/sales to pick two days. My first choice and a second in case they could not accommodate the first. I was told that the company schedules actual times of pick up on Monday or Tuesday of the week in question. 2) When the week of the move arrived, I was told by the front office staff that dates and times were not confirmed until the day before. 3) I was told on late on Tuesday that they could not do my move on Wednesday. 4) Late on Wednesday I was told that they were considering canceling. Seriously!! 5) I had to push back to get the move rescheduled for Friday. 6) Perhaps the most disturbing issue was that I was not told until the movers arrived that I needed to pay the balance in cash or cashiers check. Neither of which I had on hand since that was never communicated. 7) I had to get to an ATM during early morning rush hour that delayed the dropping off of my items at the new place which then increased my total fee by about an hours worth of time. Cheats, they are liars and the biggest cheats...calling out the salesman John Jones who lied through his teeth on the pricing....the price they quote you over the phone and email is based on pounds that they estimate based on all the items you list, but what they charge you is cubic feet and the price doubles only after everything is loaded and packed on to the truck. We were completely cornered as we had ended our lease and needed to be out of the place and had no option but to pay the money. LIARS, CHEATS AND FRAUDSTERS!!!!! The customer service supervisor - stupid ass Noreen hangs up the phone on you rather than help you, or give you a date when your stuff will be delivered. To say we are livid would be an understatement. We are reporting them to the authorities, to the BBB and will post this review and more reviews everywhere so others are not cheated like we were. read more

I scheduled a move date and they didn't show. I rescheduled and they didn't show. I called for 3 days, never got a call back but did get my deposit returned the next day. Just horrible! read more

I can't begin to explain the terrible experience we had working with State to State Logistics and how we were ripped off. To begin, their estimate was WAY OFF. I let them know what I had, and while I did have more boxes than anticipated, all furniture had been listed for the estimate so there is NO WAY the sq footage was that far off. My total charges were approximately 130% more than what they estimated. The next issue was being told the pickup date would not be honored after I had been VERY SPECIFIC about the narrow window we had and that we needed a commitment on that. They wanted to come a day early (before I was even in town to let them into the property) and then they said they would be two days late which threw off our travel plans completely and caused us to jump through major hoops to rearrange plans. I was told we would get a $100 discount on the total cost to compensate for this, which they then later refused to honor. After that, we were told the goods would be delivered July 29th (we asked them to hold after picking up on June 29th). On July 29th, I finally got in touch with someone and they said drop would not be until maybe the first week of August. It didn't come then either. Then, it would be later in August, then September... after having to hound them to get any answers, we were finally told we would have it by September 21st and that they would give us at least 12-24 hours notice (still not really sufficient). Almost TWO MONTHS after we were originally supposed to be receiving it. The whole time this was happening it was impossible to get in touch with anyone at the company or a driver to find out the status of the shipment. I thought my things had been lost or stolen and could get no assurances from them. They called out of the blue Friday at 12:41pm asking if they could drop the shipment off basically right then!!! No notice whatsoever. The driver settled on 6pm (5 hours later) b/c we did not even have a storage unit arranged and were not even at home to deal with it. I told the driver that due to the short notice, cash or a cashier check could not be arranged. They showed up and would not take a credit card. We had no way to pay for them to drop the goods off even though the company was PERFECTLY CAPABLE of running a credit card payment. Clearly the reason they do not do this is b/c they fear people will cancel the payments since they are charging highway robbery amounts after screwing customers over. We had to move money using our phones from various accounts in order to zelle them the funds. While they did offer a VERY INADEQUATE discount for being so late, they were completely inflexible on the payment method despite their lack of any notification to us, would not help us on the phone and continued to hang up on us. They will be reported to the BBB and I will be looking to take further action against them as well. Please save yourself the heartache and do not hire them!! read more

Terrible! Read the reviews and believe them. Canceled our move the day before they were supposed to be here, 2 months of planning. No one to talk to but the airhead who said it was not her problem!!!
