Wanting to see an 'Original Version' film ('OV') we went to UCI Cinemas at Bicocca. We did not…read morepurchase our tickets ahead of time, and this theater has 'assigned seating'. By the time we got to the counter, in a very long queue, we were assigned seats in the 3rd row from the screen. I was hesitant to accept them, but as I was there to see an English speaking movie, I went ahead with my purchase.
Adjacent to the ticket counter are refreshment counters with the usual assortment of beverages and snacks. There is also a wall of candy that you can 'bag up' and purchase by weight.
Off to the left side of this very large ticket/food counter area, is the entrance to some of the theaters. Everyone waits here 'en mass' for their theater to be available. Watch the video screen above the entrance. Your theater will be either red (not available) or green (available). Once your theater is green, approach the staff who will take your ticket and allow entrance.
Our seats were very comfortable and had a handy, deep, cup holder. Although close to the screen, I never felt like I had to strain my neck to see the movie. I believe this was due to the fact that the seats were deep and I was able to rest my back and neck on the seat comfortably throughout.
It was a learning process, and next time I would probably purchase my tickets on line ahead of time, but I am quite content with my experience here and will definitely go again.
