They installed a new head unit with Sirius XM timer in my 1988 corvette convertible. It was a little complicated because there was nowhere to put the antenna since there was no metal. They installed 8n unobtrusive on the dash. It's barely noticeable and works great. they 8nterfaced the new head unit and the old Bose amplifier and speakers perfectly. The first time was in the early 2000s they installed a remote start that worked flawlessly for the loss of that vehicle A year ago they installed a pioneer radio in a SUV that works great. They've done work on my Nissan, Ford, Chevy, Honda and Lexis and they have worked on a few friends' vehicles as well. They do the work on time at a great price and they know everything there is to know about their business. This is a rock solid local establishment specializing in car audio, alarms, remote starters. They do all aftermarket stuff, although they will replace factory equipment if you really want that (but who would when the aftermarket stuff is so much better!) They do inverters and batteries and work on motorcycles as well. Adequate for automatic car starter but terrible for radio. I bought a radio there a few years ago... It was pure static from the get go. I went back to try to get it fixed and I was told it was because of a bad antennae in the car. My Bluetooth also never worked. I was told I needed a new phone. Got a new phone and the Bluetooth still didn't work. Finally got fed up and went elsewhere. Turns out the radio was defective all along. Bought a new one for half the price and it sounds great. Somehow the wiring on the alarm on my 2004 Scion Xb was jacked up. The Toyota dealership who had sent it out to be put in 11 years ago was not able to figure out where they had sent it to get done. I had heard so many good things about Starlander Beck. I called and the lady on the phone told me that not only could they fix it for me, but they knew where the Toyota dealership had sent my car originally. I had to have my car towed over there and they fixed the wiring. Apparently they don't even make parts for my alarm/starter anymore and they didn't have any in stock. They were able to locate the parts that day and got my car all fixed up. Some other alarm companies would have told me they didn't make the parts anymore, then tried to sell me on another alarm. I am very pleased with the work that Starlander did to my car and when I need another alarm/starter installed I will go back to them......and I live in Meriden. read more
