Meanwhile, Bayfront Hospital Brooksville had charged me $54,000 for 3 hours in the ER, plus there were bills for the MRIs, the chiropractic care, Physical Therapy, and the Orthopedic Specialist. In short, I was going to be in debt $40,000 because an irresponsible driver wrecked my car and gave me significant spinal injuries! What Joe Lowman did for me was negotiate with the hospital to take $38,000 off my bill for financial hardship; and then negotiate discounts for all of the bills. Meanwhile, I couldn't even stand up for 1 hour. Joe hooked me up with the right doctors to treat me and get me started on Physical Therapy. It's been 4 months and I am swimming and strengthening my core muscles. They claimed they have a new quality control team and that things are different now and that the lawyer who previously handled things is no longer with them, as if that explains or absolves past behavior. I can tell you that she said that line about 10 times in the conversation, stating that "the Lawyer who was on your case is no longer a part of the firm". She said they care about people and that is their number one priority, she then went on to say that Dennis himself would personally call me that next day to apologize. HA! I'm still waiting!. I dealt with multiple people while I was a client, and unfortunately, the pattern was the same throughout. Empty promises, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. This recent outreach only confirmed that nothing has actually changed, just more words without action. I don't usually leave negative reviews because I understand that most businesses do their best to help people. But in this case, I truly felt bullied by this law firm. It was a vulnerable time in my life where i felt so abandoned with so many unanswered questions and only to be left with the most horrific feeling of this law firm that I will never forget! After being seriously injured in an accident, I was not only physically hurt but emotionally overwhelmed and at a time when I most needed empathy and support, I received none. What I did receive was a high-strung Lawyer that felt the need to yell as a form of communication! It felt like I was just another case number, at the mercy of a process that lacked compassion. The only moment they showed any real interest was after discovering that the driver who hit me had a large insurance policy. Suddenly, I became a "priority" client but only for about five minutes.
