Stopped by on the weekend, and I couldn't help but notice the vibe was a bit off. Some of the younger staff seemed full of emotions, like they didn't really want to be there. It honestly gave the impression that they'd rather call in sick than do their work. There's a lot of sass and drama in the air, which isn't great for a customer experience.
Pretty sure the manager's doing great for managing how the staff operates on the floor and handling routines during rush hours at Starbucks, but it looks like the staff don't listen or just do whatever they want. A few of them even seemed like they were just hanging out in the back instead of helping out.
Also, I noticed that there's a very limited presence of men in this workplace--it feels like it's 95% female energy. While that's not inherently bad, having more diversity in the team, including male employees, could balance out the dynamic and contribute positively to the work environment.
Some staff came across as bossy, but it didn't feel like they knew what they were doing. It feels like there's no real direction or discipline among the team. Hopefully, things improve because it could be a much better experience. read more
