Like the location as there is plenty of parking. However, the employees should be trained or know about any promotions. Got an email about 1/2 on coffee. Asked and showed my phone to the cashier who didnt know anything about it. She asked one of the girls ... barista who kept tapping on my phone then told me it was only for drive thru... just looked at the email again.. it didnt anything say anything about drive thru only. It was simple.. all she had to was charge me 1/2 the price which she didn't. Last week, took advantage of the bogo... ordered a matcha and pumpkin spice latte. After ringing me up, then he tells me the matcha didnt apply to the bogo. Could have told me that before ringing me up! I realize this Starbucks is busy but all the more reason to ensure during peak hours the garbage is picked up and tables are cleaned. Two years later, after my initial review this place is still a pig pen. No one checking garbage or cleaning tables, no one sweeping. Reduced by one star for lack of managerial oversight. Store tip, during peak hours make sure staff is walking the floor and checking tables and trash. I had to wipe down two tables I sat at and bend over to pick up trash off the floor. It is very in professional and a waist of time that when you order a Starbucks product online and they give you a time for pick up. You show up and you wait and wait for 1/2 continually. The problems been going on fir years. Time to fix this Starbucks! We are banning Bayhill for this reason. Just not worth it when you have your day planned and they can't get it together as promised. it is my sincere hope that someone in corporate HQ (who probably thinks they know it all), sets sight in this location as their is a level of professional service and sincere customer response that is inherent to the employees and something that is not drawn up in some generic customer response plan. These employees, hustle, deal with heavy traffic and simply persevere through hug-customer demand when obviously understaffed. Most of this occurs when off-site are likely sleeping, and will still be for the next couple of hours. I'll always support local when I can- but where I live we only have Starbucks. Luckily, they're consistent and their chai is one of my all time favorites. The service is decent, happy smiling faces and warm greetings. They have messed up my drink a few times, but are quick to fix it without complaint. This is my neighborhood Starbucks and I'm giving it 4 stars. It is nearby and I easily order from my phone on the Starbucks app! Parking is never a problem in the plaza. There is seating indoors now but limited and it is very spaciously spread apart. There are red and green laminated papers on the tables to let you know if the table has been sanitized by an employee yet or not. There is seating outside too. I understand the challenges during this pandemic but I've received inconsistency in my lattes :( I think it might have been because their printer was losing ink and so my drink order sticker came out unclear. I used to come this Starbucks a lot before Covid. The baristas and people were very nice and energy was great. Now when I come back, the service seems way off. The staffs are a lot more short tempered. Just today I walked in and both registers had nobody manning them. I stood between the registers hoping whoever coming back could take the order. Waited for a while and a line started to form behind me. A barista came back to the register on the right side and motioned the person behind me to come up for order. I was like, ok. May be it's an honest mistake that she thought I've ordered already. I waited for her order to be finished, smiled and said, "can I put in my order?" A Pilot Starbucks for Vegetable Croissants SITREP I hit this Starbucks when conducting Training Academies in San Bruno since this is the location of one of our Regional Offices. THE SETUP Situated at the top of the hill in the Bay Hill Shopping Center, this Starbucks is just a hop & skip from the front door of the local office. So I pop in here, grab my Blonde .....(*cough*) Roast, and set off on my merry way back to the training site. VEGETABLE GOODNESS BUT! Before I walk out the door I also make sure I grab some yummy, pastry goodness. This Starbucks is one of 25 test-marketing a "La Panier"-line (Seattle) of savory tarts. Spinach, Tomato, & Bacon, and .....(he mumbles)...another one I can't seem to remember at the moment..... The tomato is my favorite - though the spinach is absolutely delicious. Sometimes I'm a glutton and I'll grab BOTH and take them back to the training site with me (usually eating one on the way so I only have one I walk in with - I don't want my trainees to think I'm an absolute oinker, ya know) ;) THE LOWDOWN Love this Starbucks for the vegetable croissants! read more

I'm a regular here and used to love this location but that has changed. In my last three visits, the orders were wrong. Visit 1: ordered a venti salted caramel mocha and asked for four pumps of flavoring instead of six. But my drink was extra, extra sweet which I think was due to possibly 4 *extra* pumps. Was on the way to work so didn't have time to ask them to remake it. 2nd recent visit: ordered a venti salted Carmel mocha again and asked for extra salt topping. I watched them make my drink because I usually stand near the bar area. They put no salt on it at all. I did ask them to add it in, which they did, but how can you miss the salt on a SCM? *3rd recent visit* A friend ordered a venti cold brew. They gave him a grande. He brought his drink back and told the barista he ordered a venti. She transferred the drink into a venti cup and filled the rest with ice. The venti cup was pretty much half ice. They did not remake or add any actually cold brew to the drink. Also, the barista gave a little attitude which made the service cold. He accepted it, but why pay the price difference between grande and venti for ICE? I brought it back because that is unacceptable and showed them my ice compared to his ice (both venti drinks. Will add pics), and they remade the drink. Will I be back? I am sure I will as last resort because it's the closest shop locally & open @ 6am where I can get my morning fix before work. Do I trust they make my decaf actually decaf or that they can get my order right? Not so much. read more

Update: There's been an interior remodel, with more separate seatings and less cafeteria like. Previously half of all my Starbucks visits were to this location. It is one of the biggest Starbucks so there was always a seat available. Plenty of electrical outlets meaning can stay longer - yelping the day away. The location is not easy to find unless you're a local to the area. Off of Sneath Lane exit on 280 at the Bayhill Shopping Center. From 101, take the San Bruno Avenue exit and head in the direction of the hills. read more

The staff is okay, hit or miss with service. The coffee is generic like all Starbucks. What really makes this location worse than others is the fact that staff allow customers to bring their dogs inside the establishment. I don't get why this is becoming the new norm but if a customer's dog isn't a service animal, they belong outside especially if food or beverages are being served and prepared. Seems a bit insensitive and selfish to bring a dog in when other customers may have severe allergies to dogs. And the fact that animals in general tend to walk through their own excrement and harbor a multitude of various parasites like fleas and ticks. Definitely will not be coming back to this location until this issue gets resolved and the health inspector pays this location a visit. read more

I am seriously done with this Bayhill Starbucks. Many times before I came here and then they either switched out their best barista or those old crew quit. The new crew on Saturday are sloppy,don't pay attention to small details. Something as easy as extra ice request they cannot read it correctly. Also who drinks Venti Ice Vanilla latte that looks like a sugar down water milk?? Fucking seriously?? I spend 8.50 for a fucking drink to be made properly. I told the girl by the front to see if they can add the shot because it looks so light as if the barista didn't have enough patience to wait for the four shots of espresso. She then proceed to charged me the extra 2.25 for the shots. Ok mind you that I already spend 6.25 on drinks that wasn't made properly to begin with. Fucking suck Starbucks in this whole area. A bit of perspective...this is San Bruno not North beach where one may hear the banter of foreign accents or feel the energy of historical writers. This is my favorite of the northern peninsula coffee shops that I have been to (DC SSF Pacifica and such)...coffee is predictable, parking is easy and seats with relative quiet are available. This Starbucks is really spacious and lots of tables available. I came here in the morning before 8am. The line to counter already started but I can see the staffs were very efficient making coffees and taking the orders. I can see the line never ends. I feel glad that I came in early to grab a Mocha before heading to my exam. The drink was good and nothing that I can complaint about it. read more

Cashier was not professional. Barista don't know how to make a caramel macchiato - there wasn't any milk foam in my coffee and the caramel sauce sank in the drink instantly. Ordered decaf and was told by the barista that I had to wait 10 more minutes for decaf. So I ended up got the regular since I was late for work. I've been many starbucks and most of them are not up to the standard nowadays.(well maybe they don't care about it anymore cuz they've grown big) Starbucks really needs to manage their employees instead of expanding stores. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is - the staff is -always- slow and inefficient here. Weekday mornings, it is the adorably ornery and slow barista who can't seem to handle her duties at the oven very well. Quite possibly the worst Starbucks in the Bay Area... even with mobile orders, a trip to this store takes reliably 20 minutes at minimum, with either the drinks or the food taking a ridiculously long time. Regularly burned espresso. This morning, my partner waited 30 minutes for a coffee and breakfast sandwich he had mobile ordered, and they gave him a cake pop instead of the cookie he'd asked for. Once, they took 20 minutes to give me my sandwich, even though it was supposed to be a COLD sandwich.... and they had heated it up? So I waited 20 minutes for a hot sandwich that should never have been hot. It's a shame because it's the closest Starbucks to my home, but genuinely, if you can go to any other Starbucks. Love this Starbucks. For the small size that San Bruno is, this Starbucks is huge. They have more items on their menu than other Starbucks and even though it gets packed in here, I'm usually able to find a seat to get some work done. Every time I come, the line is pretty much to the door but the staff is super efficient and get everyone's order out quickly. I'm also impressed by the cleanliness here. Even though they get a ton of foot traffic, everything is always dusted, the floors are always swept and I've never had an issue with the trash bag being too full (such a pet peeve.) This is probably my go-to Starbucks location if I want to get work done on my laptop. This is larger than most Starbucks locations. There are plenty of outlets and seating. There are also comfy sofas and high chairs. For these reasons, it can be pretty crowded. I really wish this location was a 24 hour Starbucks. The baristas are always friendly and make the drinks well. As of writing this, new drinks on the Starbucks are the butterscotch latte and the cascara latte. They have fancy names, but I am not a fan of either drink. That's a miss by Starbucks. My go to drink for caffeine is a simple skinny vanilla latte, dirty chai, or caramel praline latte (chestnut praline for the holiday). My favorite cold drinks are strawberry acai refresher with coconut milk or a green tea frappucino. Pike's place or a blonde roast do the trick for the morning too. The downside of this location is the one person capacity stall. You would have to run to Mollie Stones to avoid waiting. read more

I am writing a review for this Starbucks because it's been my study venue for the past few days. I am grateful that the Starbucks here is so spacious and is a great place to study for hours and hours. There are plenty of outlets as well for charging your laptop. They offer a variety of seating: couches, bar stools, and smaller tables. The service here can be a hit or miss but that's expected of your average Starbucks. Overall, out of all the Starbucks in the area, I highly recommend this place if you want to get some work done. read more

First, it's a Starbucks. We know what to expect, right? This one is big and busy. Always a line. Always a crowd waiting for their "grande non-fat frappuccino with extra whipped cream and chocolate sauce" or "grande chai tea latte, 3 Pump, skim milk, lite water, no foam, extra hot." Some people walk over from the business park to get 8 drinks! Don't Walmart e-commerce employees get free coffee? IDK. Dirty most of the time (correlates to busy/crowded.) Dirty bathroom. Dirty floor. Dirty tables. Staff is efficient, but not very friendly. It's in Bayhill shopping center. Parking available most of the time. Noisy. Worst Starbucks ever! I live next to Bay Hill Shopping Center and drive an extra 5 minutes to go to the better Starbucks on El Camino and Sneath (accross from Tanforan Mall). The crew in the Starbucks at Bay Hill never make the drinks right when I pay extra through the app for extra ingredients. The staff here are rude too and never apologize. There are many stories, I don't know where to begin. The staff here needs re-training. Especially on how to properly make drinks and understand customizations. read more

Talk about total makeover (check out the photos I posted for this business)! When did this happen!? The space looks pretty bright and more spacious - they expanded their seating area. Lots of new leather couches, tables, and chairs. Outlets seem to be everywhere and they even have a Laptop Bar...say what!? - with all that, you would think this place has free WiFi, but none of that here (unless you have or know how to set up the 2 free hours of WiFi deal). I used to come here all the time, during nursing school, to get my study on. I liked this location because it was the biggest one around town - more chances to find a table. It can get pretty loud in here though. You'll also find plenty of "regulars" hanging around. Most of the guy barista's are cool, but most of the lady barista's make you just wanna roll your eyes at them. FYI: I'm not a huge fan of the whole Starbucks chain (even though I am a gold card member lol - blame it on my study days). It's not "real" coffee. I only visit Starbucks because its a convenience. Once you try mom & pop coffee spots (i.e. Eon in Hayward, Never Too Latte in San Bruno), you won't want to come back to Starbucks. read more
