Minus one star for their consistently disgusting bathrooms Eew. Any franchise will have a good amount of quality control in terms of the product. The coffee is good (I don't order any espresso drinks or frappuccinos or anything, so I can't speak to those). One star for being a good "Starbucks" and not screwing up the drinks. Minus two stars for the staff. These people are clearly not well trained in customer service. I usually come in and it's quiet...you'd think I get attention, yes? Nope. They are usually gossiping behind the bar (loudly) about personal things and often inappropriate for work subjects. Did I mention loud voices? When they do ask me what I want, they continue their conversation on the side and often you need to repeat what you ordered because they can't remember. I'm fine with having discussions with co-workers, but there's a limit to how that should be managed when you're facing the public. I mean, seriously, they're lounging around behind the bar, talking in loud voices about (insert whatever here) in very loud voices, and doing NOTHING. I'm looking at a dirty floor, a condiment bar that is covered with powdered chocolate and splatters of cream, a dirty food display case, and learning more than I could every possibly want to know about these three baristas. Seriously, they are all now huddled in the corner with a non-SBUX employee friend, ordering french fries and an order of mayo and ketchup mixed together. There's no one behind the bar. Ooo, now they're working again, moving things around in the display case. Yay. Productivity. If these were my employees, they'd all get a round of retraining. Granted, they have built what appears to be good, strong relationships with regulars (they know their name and their drinks, that's cool.) But the regulars all leave, they're not trying to hang out in this shop. Minus one star for super slow internet. I come to Starbucks for the coffee and the ability to do some work on my laptop. Only got the coffee today. If you come, bring earplugs. Big ones. And a pair of noise cancelling headphones. And be sure to not need the WiFi. read more

The baristas at this Starbucks were rude and tactless. First off, one of them was extremely slow in making my order despite the fact that I was the only customer they were attending to at the moment. She was talking to the other barista while making my drink, thus slowing her back. She would rather concentrate on their conversation than her work. Next, when one of them went on break, they started talking smack about this particular customer that they didn't like. I think it was really unprofessional. I mean it's not frowned upon to talk about a customer behind her back (based on their conversation, the customer really did seem to be demanding and unreasonable), but I wish they didn't do it in front of other customers! read more

Starbucks sucks here in the morning. Came in and NO ONE was here at all. Ordered a coffee and a butter croissant. Didn't even get my coffee after like 30minutes. There was no other customer there so how does it take 30minutes for a tall coffee? Oh! And another is that people AFTER ME got theirs in a split second. Yeah....So where is mine? The best part, after I got my drink, i waited another 10minutes for my food. All in all, I really didn't enjoy my experience here. Yes I understand when it is short staffed, i worked at a retail store and food court at Costco, so I know that struggle. The staff could have had a sense of urgency when you notice that people are waiting for their food. I wasn't the only one waiting for about like 30minutes for their orders. This store has gone through many changes as far as staff, but they are always friendly and welcoming. This drinks are always great and I enjoy doing homework here often. This review is for their customer service. This Starbucks is very close to where I live, so why not stop there before work? Well, I USED to, before I got tired of their poor customer service. The young lady at the counter that had took my order didn't even say hi or anything, she just stood there waiting for me to talk... A couple of days later,she unfortunately took my order again, and did they same crap, didn't even say hi or smile, or anything. If you aren't a morning person, then maybe you shouldn't work somewhere where you start at five in the morning? I rather drive 5 more minutes to the Starbucks on Jarvis and Newark Blvd. at least there I will get better customer service. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to my new workplace. It works just as well as any other Starbucks location except that the parking is a bit tight. There are only about five parking spaces in front of the store itself...if they are full, then you'll have to park a bit farther down towards Subway. A bonus is that they have lots of shaded outdoor seating at this corner location. read more

I love love love this location. I will go out of my way to go to this location over whatever is closest. Karen...is the best Starbucks manager I know of. She just rocks. She seems to get along well with her crew, keep the store in tip top shape AND is wonderfully friendly to the customers. Synthia, Fil, Donna, Monica and Jenna are also fabulous. They make the best drinks, and are always super happy to see me. They also always suggest something new for me to try that they think I would like... which rocks...most of the time I don't think to try something new! Their selection of breakfast and lunch food items is great. I often get breakfast and/or lunch there. Here is my 1 and only complaint... The parking lot filth and the delivery trucks jamming the lot so you have to risk your life just to try to find a parking spot. Last week it looked like the Mexican market just threw all their trash around the lot... when I went this morning there was broken glass all over the parking area! WTF! I have mentioned it to Karen the manager and I know she is working on it from her end... but apparently no one up higher than her is giving her any support other than telling her to contact the city. I have been to the more popular Starbucks on Thornton. It is more crowded and less friendly then the one on Jarvis. If I did not live close by I would still come to this one. The Barista's there are outstanding and very friendly with me. read more

The last few times I went I've came across the same hispanic chick with blonde hair. She definitely has no customer service, I believe she is the manager. I have gone 15 mins before they close and she has been all rude to remind they can't give me much because they are closed. I work in the food industry and we literally help our customers until the last minute of us having to close and this chick is being all rude about taking my order 15 mins before. They go out of heir way to make sure our order is correct and they are so welcoming to my kids-even when they are running around in their soccer uniforms. This has got to be the worst starbucks location there is! I am a coffee addict and this is a convenient location by my work bu,t time and time again i find myself driving twice as far to the mowry location. This used to be a decent location before they did a complete turn over on staff. The people are upbeat and very nice but the quality of service is beyond pathetic. If they are out of something in the case, they are OUT! no exceptions but, if the right person comes in and asks if they have the same thing they magically they can check the back to see if any extra product is available. WOW LIKE MAGIC they found some. at least 1 out of 5 times is my drink order messed up or they forget my breakfast item. This usually turns into a long wait. There are a few really nice employees but everyone else has to go. When it is busy you tend to get your drink faster than when it is slow. If there happens to be 2 or 3 people in the building you find it hard to even order a drink. They are standing around talking and joking not even paying attention to the register. Sometimes I have noticed that everyone is in the back, i end up just leaving. For now I will stick it out for the convenience factor but hopefully something else comes along that is just as close, with better customer service read more

My review is mainly about this one barista with a tiger tattoo on his arm. He was very rude! I asked for a grande in a venti cup black tea with half and half, 12 pumps of classic, and no water. Every other Starbucks would ask if I would want the rest of the space filled up with more milk but he didn't. When I asked if he could fill it up with more milk he just stared at my boyfriend for a little and said sure but you could tell he didn't want to. When he gave it back he said, "if you wanted more milk you should order a venti." with so much attitude. Seriously I have never had this problem with any Starbucks at all! They are all happy to help customers out no matter how weird the order. Every Starbucks employee has been super friendly. This guy just seemed like he hated his job. Oh yeah and my drink wasn't made right either. It was very watered down and I asked for no water. I didn't even want to deal with him anymore so we just left. This location is walking distance from my house and I'd much rather drive to a further one. I wanted so badly to get good service from this store and I've given it countless chances, but they always let me down. I could be the only person in line and they'll dump and re-brew coffee before even glancing at my empty cup on the bar. Then they'll let the espresso shots expire before adding milk so my drink tastes awful. Don't even consider buying whole bean coffee and asking them to grind it. Your pound will be left and forgotten on the back counter. The staff is nice enough, but I've only had bad drinks and experiences here. read more

Best Starbucks store ever! All the morning people are Amazing! Always a smile and a "Good Morning Sam". My drink is already started as soon as I walk in the front door. I totally agree with the other peoples reviews. I love Starbucks and this one is right by my house so it is totally convenient, but it really matters who is working. I love it when I go in and they know exactly what I am going to order. The last 5 or so times I have gone in there though nobody has looked familiar and the line has been at least 6 people long. Yay good for the business but the line isn't that long because they are busy it is long because the girls behind the counter are just down right SLOW!!!! Most of the time when you go to a Starbucks and the line is long the barista will ask the people in line if they could get their drink started but since the barista and the checkout clerk are to busy deciding what party they are going to go to later in the evening leaves them no time to ask and talk to the customers. I would totally go back if I knew that the other great fellow employees were going to be there but this is the 5th and last time and chance for them no more. I would rather drive across town and still get my coffee in the same amount of time. Its up to you but don't go in if you need to be somewhere in a hurry. read more
