This Starbucks is terrible. The customer service is poor. They don't listen to your orders and overcharge for modifications--even on free Monday mod! It's unfortunate that this is the only Starbucks near the base I can go to, so I have to deal with their attitude and the way they "hear' orders! The last two times I have come here for drinks it took 30 minutes to get my drink. Not sure why, other than I tip after I receive service. IF they are basing priority on tip ahead, then I need to know so I can bribe my barista to make my drink in less than 30 minutes. Also, all staff in the place are rude. On a Friday morning, just before 8am, it took 20 minutes for me to receive my grande latte. I placed the order through their app and chose to pick it up in-store. I usually order via app as I am leaving my home. Today I placed an order at 1800. It takes me 17 minutes to get to Millington from my home. I go in the store, which is never busy at this time, and of course my order is not ready. Another young lady asks me the name on the order and I tell her, "it's the only order here." She walks off with a smirk to go inform her other associate of what I said. The problem is traffic is usually slow during this timeframe. I work 3 days a week and usually get Starbucks 1 or 2 of those days. This is a trend. When you walk in, they are usually talking and laughing, which is perfectly fine to do, however, you aren't paid to talk and laugh. You are paid to be a barista. I come to get my drink prior to my shift and honestly, it is ridiculous the amount of times I have had to wait on an order when the store is not busy. I expect nothing to be done about it and that's fine. I'll just continue to write bad reviews everytime I receive bad service. read more

I got a pup cup in the drive thru the other day and instead of handing it to me, they gave it to my dog who then got it ALL OVER my backseat. I am disappointed and admittedly frustrated at the lack of professionalism I experienced at this establishment. I expect them to have enough common sense as to hand the product to the paying customer. Not an animal. My caramel macchiato was delicious tho. This is a cool little Starbucks located in Millington right near the Navy base, so I come here quite often when I am in town. I stopped by here a couple of mornings this past week and the service was great. However, later in the day my wife and I drove by the drive thru so she could get a Venti Vanilla latte and as everyone is aware, these are not exactly cheap, at $5. We drove off and they totally forgot to add the Vanilla, it was just coffee and steamed milk, which I know, because that is what I drank earlier in the day and I tried hers. We did not go back, it just was not worth going back, so what I learned is don't come here after 2pm. The Millington Starbucks is great if you come here in the morning, the staff is pleasant, smile and they make good drinks. However, if you come here after lunch, some of the pm staff are a bit impolite and may not make your drink correctly. Like all Starbucks, they have free AT&T Wi-Fi. However, just to inform those who plan on coming here and need bandwidth, this location has very slow internet, the top speed is anywhere from 40-67kb/s. Ive attempted this Starbucks multiple times because it's the closest one to me and my job. And I must say, I've never been more disappointed with how this place operates. Pros: It's Starbucks. Cons: -They're slow (my average wait time is 6-15 minutes) and that's not even during the busy lunch hours. -They're menu is basic and doesn't align with the app. -I'm an avid Starbucks user and this is by far the worst I've ever been too. -A few of the drive-thru window people are sarcastic and obviously spiteful. Today was my last attempt with this place. I tried to order a Iced Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte. (Amazing drink if you ever want to order it at a different store) Simple right? No, I was told they couldn't add ice to that drink.....let me repeat myself. Can't. Add. Ice. I'm no rocket scientist but I think I can put ice in a cup. I didn't say anything because I was in a rush and didn't have time to sit around and explain to them how to add ice to a drink. So I just asked for a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. All was good in the world until I got my drink. I mean look at that picture I posted! Top to bottom is complete ice and not just top to bottom but packed in. I couldn't even get my straw 1/4 down because it was so packed. The amount of liquid in this drink was honestly probably less then half the cup. Frustrating. THE slowest Starbucks in the universe. I have visited multiple times and it has taken at least 20 minutes in the drive thru with five vehicles ahead of me. The last time I visited,yesterday, the cashier told me my drink was almost ready. As I was in the DT I could see my drink sitting on the counter ready to be handed to me. She went off to find a big ass pair of tongs for some reason and returned five minutes later. When she finally handed me my drink it was incorrect and had to be fixed. Either management needs to be retrained so staff are trained properly or the current staff needs a wake up call. read more

The service is so slow even when there is no one inside but you. They focus on preorders and not customers standing right in front of them.

First, it's phase three here. 75% capacity is ok. Yet the dining area is closed. "It's a district manager decision due to the pandemic". I'm calling bull on that. You don't want to pay the labor costs associated with keeping the dining area clean. Second. As the pictures show, all of the food in the display case was MOLDY. I asked to talk to the manager, who was right behind the cashier when I asked. She disappeared to the back room and suddenly had to take a phone call. So, ducking another complaint. I know for a fact that they didn't sanitize the display case before they replaced the food. Because I watched it happen. Third, for the last two years, it's NEVER taken less than 20 minutes to get out coffee. WHEN, they actually have what we want. Cold brew coffee is like a Macdonald's milkshake, the machine always is broken or, they're out. Sometimes, it takes the whole 20 minutes we've had to wait to discover this. This isn't my first issue with this location, it happens every visit. If there was another coffee place in town, I'd never step foot in this Starbucks again. I have been going to this location for 8 years or more. They stay busy the problem is they are slow and recently have been having the inside closed so if you have a mobile order you have to wait in a long line that blocks other businesses and their customers from getting in or out. If I was one of the business owners I would be complaining , also your order is cold when you get it. If you can avoid this location I would as the staff has no management nor leader skills and could careless that they are even there. They have one guy that's been there for a few years only works afternoons and he try's to keep everyone happy but the rest of the staff is newer. I love Starbucks so I will just go to another location that's in a different part of town but shouldn't have to because this is only 5 minutes from my house. If you go through the drive thru on a Saturday, pack a lunch, it's gonna take awhile. There were seven cars in front of me and each car took 7-10 minutes to get their order at the window. I only ordered one drink (S'mores frappuccino, which was really good) and it took 7 minutes. They must be understaffed or something. read more

Alright 3 days I have gotten a coffee and all 3 coffees have been short of well coffee. The first two I got were ventis and just how light it was you could tell it was short without opening it but never the less I opened it and it was easily short 5-8oz your coffee is already expensive but to not make sure that it is actually filled is ridiculous. One of them I guess they tried to hide it with the froth on top. So for the third one I went with a tall surely it would be fully filled but no it too was missing oz's about 3 of them and thr milk was burnt. Seriously what the hell. I go through the drive thru cause I am usually pretty busy and dont have much time. That tall coffee took well over 15 min and mind you, they were not busy I was the only one in the drive thru and only two people were inside. The other two also took a while to make. You would think that with all that time and not being busy they could at least make sure its full first and foremost second make sure the extra shot makes it into it third that they dont burn the milk and that it is made correctly. One of them tasted of pretty much just milk and in these I get an extra shot of expresso, one of the ventis they burnt the milk in. I stop here quite a bit probably almost 4-5 days a week because it is the only coffee shop. 5 out of 10 times its either tastes milky or burnt. A lot of times probably 7 out of 10times I am positive that the extra shot I paid for is not in there. You can tell when it has your extra shot. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the girl the other day made me a perfect Carmel macchiato so if I do decide to ever stop in, it will only be when she is working. I will get her name next time so people will know to go only when she is working. Oh but if she is not working I will not be stopping in. With paying so much for a cup of coffee it isn't to much to ask or expect it to be made correctly Oh and 2weeks ago they did not honor a 20% off I had. It said to redeem your next visit the girl at the window said they dont redeem those there that it was not a code they use. I showed her where it said to redeem in stores. I stop at a coffee place every day and usually buy 2 ventis. I'm not sure why everyone seems to say this Starbucks is slow. First off. Morning drive-thru is always slow at just about any Starbucks I have ever been to. It's the morning rush... Secondly, I have never had an issue with them with my drinks. I can't have dairy and every time I order they know that and if somehow I forget to ask for almond milk they always wait to make the drink and ask me. Management needs to reel this one in. I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes (12 to be exact) for a coffee and a croissant. There was 1 person in front of me and 1 other person waiting. The person waiting ordered an oatmeal and appeared to also have been waiting awhile because the barista working the food side "couldn't find" the bowls. So he gave up looking. Seriously? I mean even if you're new, you don't just stop and do something else. So I get my coffee and ask about my croissant to which the barista says "oh it's coming" but didn't check on it at all. After 2 minutes, I asked another barista if she could double check to make sure it wasn't forgotten (or given up on) and it turns out it was hanging out in the drive thru. At least my coffee was good - that's where the stars go. And, while seemingly incompetent, the staff were friendly. Note to Starbucks, friendly is not good enough when I haven't yet had my coffee. Finally after waiting 20 minutes, get to the window said I want to use my points... OK... Wait to see if points are deducted... Find out that I am charged for my order and no points are deducted... Why give us points and say here use them if you're just going to do what ever you want to do and Not listen to the customer. Well, a lot has changed in the year+ since the previous review. Staff turnover is limited, if at all. I enjoy seeing the "regulars" in the morning and they've gotten to know me. Some of the staff, including the manager, came down from Covington when that location was closed a while back. Since then, the drinks have been more consistent, the service has greatly improved and the atmosphere is just more welcoming overall. I go through the drive-thru 99% of the time and it's always speedy - depending on what the people ahead of you have ordered, that is! They now serve hot breakfast sandwiches that are pretty tasty for being on the healthy side - uses turkey bacon, egg whites, wheat english muffins, etc. All in all, a great Starbucks especially when compared to some of the other locations closer/in Memphis.
