This was the closest coffee shop to my hotel and I was in a bit of a hurry so dropped in on 2 separate occasions. First time, had such a nice experience with somebody from here. They helped maximize the points to collect as I do use them to grab travel mugs when I'm vacationing in North America. They helped me out there and then recommended me a drink which I tried and like. The following morning when I was on my way out of town, I swung by to grab a drink and the staff couldn't be bothered to take my order. Multiple staff looked at me in line and after a few minutes chatting between themselves, one of them decided to walk up to the cash, called me over and took my order. I ordered a coffee, scanned my app and wasn't sure if they were going to get the coffee at the cash or somebody else was making it. It turns out somebody else was making it. I just didn't know that it was done as I stood around for a few minutes, then decided to walk up to the counter where there were a few drinks. It was a beautiful sunny spring day so as you can imagine everyone was out and about at their local Starbucks getting their caffeine fix. I was also one of those people. I went in with one intention though, of trying their matcha lavender drink since I've been hearing all the hype about it. The baristas and cash were great in taking my order quickly. Drinks came out at an okay speed, could've been a bit quicker but that's okay as there were many orders coming in through delivery platforms and irl. The matcha lavender drink is a must get and must try. Creamy delicious floral lavender foam ontop of your iced matcha drink? That is a huge yes! I came super early in the day for the holiday mug and there was only one other customer (with her mask underneath her mouth) inside. It's amazing that Starbucks continues to offer complimentary birthday drink. And they even offer it in the "Trenta" size...did you know that there was another larger size after "Venti"? With the free drink offer, I got the Dragon drink from their cold fruit drink menu...so refreshing with a blend of dragon fruit and creamy coconut flavours. This is Starbucks is one of the only ones located around this area. There used to be one a little bit farther north in a Chapters which has now located to a Longo's but in terms of standalones, this might be your only choice. As such, it is a pretty popular one so you might find it light on seating with people studying and chatting away. I did use the restrooms here which were really clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap. It's fall and they were innovating with some special fall drinks including a pumpkin cream cold brew. This Starbucks location is the third-closest one from my home. I don't visit it much, unless I happen to be driving along Woodbine Avenue. This cafe is located in a plaza with a number of businesses, such as a convenience store, South St. Burger, and Swiss Chalet. The last time I was here was a good year ago. It was winter, and I walked without taking my hat and one of my mitts off. A barista from my usual Starbucks was working here. She recognized me in all my bundled winter gear. We chatted. She was temporarily helping out at this Starbucks location. I ordered my usual iced green tea. My order was corrected and tasted great, as she I was a regular customer at her regular cafe. This cafe is roomy. I didn't stay to sit down and take things in at a slower pace. When I was there, there were a couple of customers. It felt like a good place to just think and relax. The Starbucks is conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of free parking and a few restaurants. The baristas here are always friendly and welcoming. I recently started using mobile pick up and the drinks are always ready by the time I arrive (~5minutes drive time). I love how you can customize the order and either favorite them or re-order your most recent order. The wait time for ordering in store is not too bad (~5-10 minutes line +wait time). This cafe is one of the bigger Starbuck's I've been to. It is an ideal place for working since it is spacious and quiet. I only come here during my work break on weekdays so I don't get to stay for long but there are usually empty seats/tables. The drinks I've had here have been made consistently well: Reg Iced Caramel Macchiato, Hot Caramel Macchiato with 1-2 pumps of syrup (Grande). read more

Quiet plaza so I'm not here often but i can always count on this place being clean and spacious and friendly! The staff here are always top notch when I visit and super friendly with giving me some recommendations based on the type of drinks I seem to like. Haven't gone wrong yet. Sometimes it's a bit busier, say on the weekends, but during the weekdays, It's a nice place to come enjoy your beverage and get a bit of work done.. or just daydream, whatever floats your boat. I don't really like doing a mobile order though as I tend to have to wait a bit longer for my drink than if I think I were to order just in person. But I like that they'll acknowledge you, follow up on your order, and let you know that they haven't forgotten it and it's just been a bit busy. Saves me the hassle of being that horrible customer who says "wheres my drink??" when they're already swamped. :P read more

Always drove by here on Woodbine but never actually went in- y'all are missing out on this location! Love that there's a lot of seating (two large communal tables and 2 "bar seating") that gives people like me a lot of options for places to sit and work. There's also a lot of outside patio seating options with a few private smaller tables inside. Sitting here on a weekday morning as people stroll in for their morning jolt, I come in with a long line but it quickly is taken care of. The staff, pretty nice. They tell me about the "Treat Yo Self" special on right now. They ask me if I want a breakfast. Interesting though, they don't ask any of the customers before me. Do I have new guy in town on my face? Oh, while writing this someone asks if I want a blueberry coffee cake, how nice. The person taking orders seems to know a lot of people, must be a lot of regulars. They ask "do you want your usual" or "at this time, she wants...". They must really take their job seriously, if I came here multiple times, that'd make me feel special. It has some nice tables for studying or working, a big table in the back for bigger groups. I've come here at night a few times for meetups, and usually there is a table available and the right level of noise where I don't have to yell or anything. I used to like this Starbucks for its location and abundance of seats. But lately I've noticed that the baristas at this location are annoyingly loud, making it impossible to concentrate on study/work and carry a good conversation. They aren't the regular staff I used to see around here. If you want to come here for study/work, remember to bring ear plug or headphone. I had ordered a chestnut praline when they had the holiday drinks but it did not taste like a chestnut praline. It tasted like a peppermint mocha with a twist of chestnut praline. I did not try it til i got to my car and did not want to go back to get another one. Well mannered and friendly staff. Prompt and punctual. I was very pleased with the service that I had received on a regular basis. Especially given that I am always on a rush because of work. Never once have they faulted on my orders and they're always on point even when there is a rush. When I've noticed they made an error on another customers order they are very quick to apologize and ensure that that customer gets what they were looking for. But the last few times there's one obnoxiously loud Batista that makes it impossible to study or talk to someone. I find myself constantly trying to block his voice out or trying to talk over him. I love Starbucks coffee. My favourite drinks are ice coffee with vanilla syrup, americano, espresso and ice green tea no lemonade.

Went to Starbucks at this location for the first time in a couple of months. Quite surprised to see a smaller service counter, new shared seating area, and rearranged space. The layout seemed better but staff had completely changed and was not as friendly. The Americano is not as good as it was in the past. Given my experience on this visit I am less inclined to visit this Starbucks location in the future. Better off going elsewhere. read more

I try to avoid this Starbucks when I can and usually will only go if a friend has asked to meet here. This place has a few problems: 1) The food selection here is always embarrassingly poor. You can go in at any time of the day with a hankering for something sweet with your coffee and you will be disappointed. Hope you like yogurt with your latte! 2) I can never find a seat here. It's always packed! 3) Closing at 7:30pm on a Sunday? Really? Even the Starbucks inside Longo's on Highway 7 is open longer. Almost all of other Starbucks locations in this area are open until 10pm on all other nights of the week. This place not only closes at 9:30 on these other nights but will start cleaning up and asking people to leave far in advance of this. 4) If you're lucky enough to find a seat, the wifi connection is not great, if it connects at all. The only redeeming qualities this location has are friendly staff and the drinks are always on point (to be expected from any Starbucks, though). Generally a bad option unless you're running in and out to grab a coffee and go. Don't bother coming here if you're craving a baked good or want to sit and hang out for a while. Had an extremely poor experience at this location today. Went back twice in the same day and still no luck getting my receipt with the starbucks promotion code on it. When i asked the barista to re-print it for me. They were unable to get me my coupon code. I find that really annoying to happen twice in the same day. Usually even if I forget to ask for my receipt - They print it out anyway and tell you about the coupon code except this location! Starbucks is not cheap - I spend my $$ here everyday and the least I expect is immaculate customer service. Would rather go to TIM HORTINS the next time I need a coffee. read more
