It's a brand-new Starbucks that's a 5 minute walk from my office--what's not to like? I guess a lot of the crew from the SBUX that we like from the Carson & Paramount location are here, so the service is always nice. Been getting into their Clover-brewed coffees, which is great if you want straight coffee that doesn't taste all burnt. It's a little bit more than the regular coffee but so worth it. Their little outdoor seating area is nice; because the front of the store doesn't face out on to busy Lakewood Blvd it's fairly quiet. They also have a drive-thru! read more

This particular Starbucks is awesome. The baristas go above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you ordered. My fiance ordered some kind of chocolate chai latte, and the barista told him that everyone he has made it for, hasn't liked it (he went on to explain what it was made with, and why people disliked it so much,) and that he had his own version--which was delicious--that he wanted to make for my fiance. It was just such a nice conversation and suggestion. I've never experienced such great service at a Starbucks before (and I used to work at one! hah!). This is our favorite Starbucks; we will go out of our way to specifically go to this one, over all others in the area. read more

This location is crazy busy in the morning! Expect to find a line going out the door and plenty of cars waiting in the drive thru. Staff is really sweet and chipper, which helps ease things before having your cup of joe. The drive thru and parking can conflict when it gets real busy. I would recommend going during slow times if possible. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations (and I've been to a lot of them), particularly because of the baristas and staff that make this place so enjoyable. The pitfalls with this place is the parking and the new wave of college students finding a trendy place to study. I'm not a fan of the parking because it gets shared with the Hotel customers that are just across the way from here. At times it can get crowded and since it's a small lot (not too small though), there's always people walking and cars coming from every direction. I'm also not a fan of the wave of college students that come in to study. Haha. Maybe that's because I'm no longer in college and I just want a nice place to do my work without hearing people talk about classes. You do develop the normal customers that come here to study, especially from LBCC & CSULB since it's just a ways down the street. But developing a customer fan basis and regulars says a lot about the way this Starbucks is run *thumbs up*. Lastly, I'd also like to point out the electrical outlets/plugs. There's the 2 sockets that run along the bar in the back lefthand corner when you first walk in. And then there are the plugs under what I call, the community table. This is the table that's rectangular and has about 8 chairs around it. The high circular table doesn't have an outlet so don't be fooled by the way it looks!!!!! All in all, this is a good place to go to get your act together. The other reason I keep coming back is because their WIFI is probably THE BEST WIFI that I've experienced at any Starbucks. I Love this Starbucks! Pros... Convenient drive-thru for the ultimately lazy (that's me). Always some cool dude working the drive-thru. For the most part they're pretty fast (except during happy hour special days... Bring a book!). Whenever I've asked for extra of something, say for example Splenda, they are more than generous. They haven't gotten my difficult orders wrong yet! (Hope I didn't just jinx myself... Ugh) Cons... They always seem to be out of the bakery loaves in the afternoon. Can't get across Lakewood Blvd from the driveway and if you go to the light it takes forever. Far from my house. I wish to use one of my wishes for a closer Starbucks but it must have a drive-thru! Phone ordered a Traveler Jug of Coffee a couple hours prior to needing it for a meeting at work......I've done this MANY times at various locations & I have NEVER EVER EVER walked in and had my order complete & ready to go. I wanted to add an update, as I feel that my experiences since my first review have been much more pleasant! Plus, I don't think it's fair for the rest of the employees, for me to keep a 1 star rating, when it was just one particular employee that I was originally commenting on. As I previously mentioned, the majority of my transactions are through the drive-thru, but on occasion, I will go inside the store. Last weekend, I went inside, and received amazing customer service! I ordered 2 mocha frappuccinos, and I must admit that I never checked my receipt to verify the order... So when the drinks came up, they were 2 caramel frapps. I personally have no issue with caramel, and wouldn't have mentioned anything, except that the other person that I was buying for does not like caramel (at all). The female barista was so kind (I really wish I had gotten her name), and went to work immediately on making the mocha frapps - and although I said I'd only need 1 replaced, she made 2, and still offered me the caramel ones as well. I believe this is a great show of customer service! This goes to prove that while you may have one bad experience, your opinion can always be changed for the better. read more

By Starbucks standards goes, it is right there. Coffee is standard, I generally stick to regular black and am not a huge coffee connoisseur by any standards. Staff members are for the most part professional and friendly, but can be chatty sometimes (one staff member made a comment about her strong distaste for how some customers only pay for a drink and sit there for hours, its a coffee shop...). Because I work remotely, I come here every now and then to do some work for a couple of hours and leave. They do have a nice out door seating area, however smokers are allowed to be around that area. I think there should be a sign that is listed there no smoking, or Starbucks should enforce a no smoking policy within some amount of feet of the entrance and outdoor seating area (there were some children there while a smoker was around). Parking lot is cramped and sometimes the drive through of the Starbucks can block traffic. That being said, the starbucks also shared part of a lot that is adjacent to a nearby hotel. Otherwise a pretty pedestrian experience at this Starbucks. read more

Everything is brand new about this Starbucks! This Starbucks is located in a new plaza right by the Long Beach Airport! They have a great staff. Only downside is that a lot of business customers and college students come in this location, and seating becomes filled fairly quick. If you come in the evening, most of the good pastries are gone. Upside is this location has Starbucks Reserve (only coffee-heads know what this is about!). Since this Starbucks is in a new plaza, a lot of new restaurants are opening right next to it, which is a great plus if your hungry! Overall a great Starbucks! read more

I love this place! They are fast and friendly and the location has plenty of windows so the ambience is nice. I love the Oprah Herbal Chai Tea, it's just the right flavor without being overwhelming. Oh they also have wireless charging stations for your phone, super nifty! The only thing I would say is that they give priority to the drive-thru orders so when it's busy you might find yourself waiting in line for a long time. Other than that, I love it here! read more

I've never really wrote a review for Starbucks because it's "just Starbucks"... actually Starbucks isn't "just Starbucks", it's the beginning of our day(morning coffee), it's the middle of our day(more coffee) or it's the end of the day if we want a tea before sleep.. So I think that at every Starbucks they should go above and beyond to make their customers happy.. I feel that at this Starbucks they are extra nice and friendly which to me a plus. If my drink would ever not taste so good, I wouldn't be all mad about it because just their service to me is good enough. I am still sitting at their store. Here is what happened. A 40 or so year old male waited on me. I paid for my two drinks and about 10 seconds later I remembered I had my treat receipt that would save me about 3 bucks. Mind you its not about the money its about how establishments and people treat me. I will leave honest reviews. So this guy proceeded to tell me it was too late for me. Well I dont think so. I spend hundreds of dollars per month at Starbucks and my local shop I go to would have never treated me so poorly. A neat little Starbucks with a drive-thru! So some pluses are definitely for those flying in to Long Beach and staying at the Marriott - you can basically walk to the Starbucks if you do have cravings! They're open later than a lot of Starbucks too! Service here has been great! I always come out with no problems with my drinks! Now the fun part...while the drive-thru is VERY convenient, it can get backed up. General rule is that if the traffic gets backed up to the drive-thru entrance, it may be best to just park and walk in! read more

This location is located in a fairly busy shopping center (well at least during the lunch hour). It's directly adjacent to a Flame Broiler, Jersey Mike's Subs, the Habit, and California Fish Grill, making this a go to spot during lunch for all the surrounding companies. Even then, this place sees a steady flow of traffic because it's located right next to the Long Beach Airport. Overall, this is one of my least favorite Starbuck's because it lacks a quality staff. When you can hear them talking trash about customers, either in store or those in the drive through, it just doesn't make you feel like you are a valued customer. I get it, I've worked in restaurant's before and that type of talk is really just to keep them entertained and what not, but it's usually kept in the back - not put out there in the open. Maybe this was an isolated occurence, but then again, the fact that the staff seemed very comfortable with it, leads me to believe that this is normal. the seating is fine for this small location, somewhat crowded, but usable. There are electrical outlets or the island table and for the bar table. Other than that, there is a lot of outdoor seating, which is nice. What can you say, just an average SB's. read more

I come to this Starbucks when I'm in the area, usually doing some shopping at Trader Joe's. This location is not close to my house, although I do enjoy it when I stop in. Last evening I was helped by two young men. I purchased the new, reusable, hot cup that has a sort of red starburst on the front. I believe it may be part of the dot collection for this holiday season. I like it a lot and it was only $2. My boyfriend bought one that is plain with only the starbucks logo about six months ago for $1 and it is still going strong, and I'm SURE has paid for itself via 10cent discounts by now. Ordered my new cup with a vanilla latte with an add shot (grande) and the total was $7.10. Service was prompt and I even got some latte art! A cute heart in my foam. :) read more

I was in need of refreshment and decided to grab a tea from the closest Starbucks. I pulled into the drive thru and there were about 4 cars in front of me. I knew exactly what I wanted. When I pulled up to the window a few minutes passed before anyone said anything. It was not until I began humming that someone stated they would be with me shortly to take my order. It was another few minutes before they actually took my order however. If the drive thru wasn't closed in I certainly would have driven away. So, the female employee asks for my order and I state the following, "Venti. Peach White Citrus Tea with Sweetener." I get no response after placing my order. Then she states, "What is your question?" I am like...??? I did not ask a question. My order was specific and no where could you have heard me mention having a question. To which she responds, "You want to know if we have white peach citrus tea?" (Palms head to face) Comprehension cannot be this low. Not to sound rude but how difficult is it to properly take a drink order???!!!! Listening is the main part of the job. I repeat my order. I again state, "Venti. Peach White Citrus Tea with Sweetener." I am then asked the following: Size? With Lemonade? Sweetener? At this time I am beyond annoyed because all of this information was disclosed more than once at this point. Size is Venti! I asked for Tea not Tea/Lemonade mixed. If I wanted lemonade I would have stated that. I stated WITH SWEETENER! I should have said forget it but I had come to far to turn back now plus I was thirsty. I pull up to the window and low and behold my order is WRONG and IS WITHOUT SWEETENER! I, once again, corrected her and you would have thought I was bothering her by wanting my simple drink order made properly. There is zero doubt that I will never return to this location. The incompetence I cannot deal with. The lack of attention to detail I cannot deal with. The lack of proper listening skills I cannot deal with. I would rather go to Peet's. This location is nestled next to California Fish Grille and sits in front of a Marriot Courtyard hotel. There are many new shops and restaurants located in close proximity since they are building up the area. You may have better luck of going into WF 365 and pouring up your own drink though. read more

I've never been through the drive thru and always go through the store front at this location. I LOVE this location! There is a Starbucks within walking distance from my house, but I still come by this location to hang out with friends or study or whatnot. The staff are friendly, which is what I look for at coffee shops. There is this one barista who always makes eye contact and smiles whenever I enter this location. He makes me feel special and welcomed, which is one of the reason to why I drive to this Starbucks instead of walking to the one near my house. The drinks were made as expected most of the time and sometimes they make fresh batch of coffee for me with a smile, unlike some other places. read more

My favorite Starbucks of all time. Great location, fast, friendly and professional service, when I place a mobile order, my drink is right there and I don't have to bug someone to hand it to me. Why do they lose a star? Mutant eggs!! I'm a sucker for protein boxes, but for some unknown reason, the eggs are always mutilated. Sometimes more than other times, but always looking like they came out of some kind of radioactive experiment. If the egg looks like something from another planet, what does the chicken look like? (shutter) Most of the time, I still eat it. And if I do take it back, they promptly give me another protein box - and I have started to check the egg before leaving. So far, after eating several, I seem to be okay...though I feel an urge to cluck now and then. read more

This Starbucks is close to my house, so I go often. The staff is always friendly, and not annoyingly fake friendly like so many other Starbucks around town. I wish there were more AC outlets along the walls, and even outside on the patio. I can dream, can't i? The inside area is confortable overall. Definitely my favorite Starbucks location. Spacious, open, and they carry the reserve coffees (also a fancy Clover press machine, which makes coffee which tastes a lot like French Press). Staff is very cool and knowledgeable when it comes to coffee (regions, acidity, etc.). I was blown away when one of them offered to do a tasting with me and actually spent 10 minutes at one of the tables showing me a new blend. You definitely get a higher-end coffee experience than your typical Starbucks. read more
