This is definitely the most centrally located Starbucks in LB... But everything's here! The staff are always welcoming: Joseph is amazing and never fails to remember our regular order; but everyone is top noch!! I'm so glad they put codes on the bathrooms. There are fewer problems with transients in general. Awesome move Starbucks and City of LB for approving it! (Finally) If this place wasn't already so awesome, I would say it's getting better. Sent my husband to pick up my morning coffee and some breakfast items. Received the most terrible treatment by two female employees. Gentleman at the register was nice and tried to make up for the horrible treatment by the ladies. One of the female employees assumed my husbands name was Jose, why would that be? My husband was there for some time, had to ask status of the order multiple times. The employee who prepared the breakfast items was the one who wrote jose so he didn't pick it up being that Jose is not his name. They seemed bothered that he was checking on the order. When the 2nd female asked what the order was he had to look back for my text and she began rushing him with a condescending tone. After the drink was made she didn't bother placing it on the pick up counter she left it on the back counter and went to back so to not assist him. The gentleman from the register apologized on their behalf and corrected the name and handed over the items, thank you sir! Very disappointed in the treatment my husband received today as I am a regular customer of Starbucks and have always had pleasing experiences. With this being the first time we order from this location and receiving this treatment where my husband felt he was being racially discriminated against, I can assure you we will not be returning. Also, just realized the order is wrong! Asked for no cheese in the sandwich and there is cheese and a plain bagel which turned out to be an everything bagel. I've been to many Starbucks locations throughout the US and this is by far the worst one. I've come at least 15 times and my experience has been, hmm it's good enough but it's not right... but because it's so close to me but I'm done coming back. They always mess up my drinks. They can't make an americano with hazelnut and half and half right and they can't make iced shaken espressos and they can barely get a flat white right. I've never said anything in person because I'm not that guy but yeah, y'all should train at this location or something lol read more

Its difficult to get your mobile order. They are behind the glass but everyone is to busy to help and if you give them your name they just say it will be out shortly and never follow up. The employees are always pretty cool, nice people. My orders rarely get messed up, and if it is, they have no hesitation to fix it. I love ordering through the app before I go to work because it could be faster than a driverthru at this location! The only downside to that is the orders tend to get swiped by people if you're not fast enough. This is a popular spot for homeless people. Most of which are never a problem but some are. When that does happen, the employees are super patient and handle it in an ethical way. I like this Starbucks, and even though it's not mom and pop, it feels like a cool local meet up spot. I come into this Starbucks multiple times a week, always to pick up my mobile order. At least half the time, it's wrong. My orders are super simple, and they print on the label, so I don't understand. I usually get an americano with 2 Splenda and sweet cream cold foam, or I'll get an English breakfast tea with 2 Splenda and a splash of whole milk. I don't understand why they're wrong most of the time now :-( read more

Really nice and neat Starbucks. Used to be a lot dirtier because of all the homeless people that would hang out outside. However, now I rarely see any if at all. Atmosphere is chill but, lively. The regulars like to chat and have small meetings here. Remember to ask for the bathroom code when you buy. The staff is really friendly here as well. David, Ana, and Chloe are some of my favorites. They are always helpful and ready to chat if you are looking to have it with them as long as they are not swamped with other customers. Baristas and pretty good here too. read more

The team here is friendly and happy. They smile and joked along with me, which I always love. I think the location is a bit of a hassle. It's on the corner of redondo and 7th so it's a busy area to try and get to. Luckily there is parking in the back. The major issue I had was trying to leave. The parking lot is tight and trying to get someone to let me get back onto Redondo left me bummed out. read more

This is my neighborhood Starbucks, I also try to support it as much as I can with it turning union, as I'm a local 13 union member. Today I pre-ordered my usual before I went back to work. I walked in and noticed my drink was still being prepared. I stood there watching the world's slowest barista scoop my Matche into the blender. I continued watching her do other task at the world's slowest pace. No state of urgency at all. Then I started thinking is she on drugs?! I watched as co-workers raced around her. She didn't care at all. I've worked in the restaurant industry since I was 16 till 32. Most of those years I was a barista as well at a lot of well known coffee shops. You couldn't pay me to work as slow as her! Especially on a weekend!!! She continued working on other drinks while my drink was sitting in the blender. It wasn't a frozen drink, just a ice Matche. Just sitting there. I watched as she continued to work on other drinks. Then before I could say anything she poured my drink. She went to set it in the "online orders" area (mind you I was standing right there and she didn't say anything) I saw my name on it as she was walking up and I said is that Michelle's? She didn't reply and handed me my drink and walked away silently without saying a word. I noticed she was pale, and cold sweating. I told her to have a nice day and walked away. Once I got in my car, I started thinking what if she was sick? What if she had Covid? You never know now...... sooooo I threw away my $8.00 drink. Yay . Anyways, y'all really need to step it up. If I was a manager and I saw my employee acting like this they would immediately be sent home. read more

Pretty good starbucks. Parking is in the back and sometimes there may not be any open spots because it is a very small area. Inside is clean, but outside needs a little bit of work. I did like how they made my drink though so of course that's good :) 3 stars is for location and cleanliness outside. Should have taken a picture, but the tables were a mess outside and cig butts everywhere. Service is good inside. They made my drinks fast and they were really nice. read more

Wow! What a rude batista. Friday afternoon today at 4:25 PM, the rather large guy who was the barista was so rude to us when we inquired to the size of the drink he made us. We asked if it was a tall and he said "that's what the label says doesn't it?" with a very rude undertone. We asked because we ordered a grande. After looking at our receipt on the mobile app, turns out it was the cashier's fault for inputting the wrong order. This does not though give the barista the right to treat customer's rudely. They should work with the cashier to make sure the customer gets what they ordered. Additionally, the service was the slowest I've experienced at a Starbucks and it wasn't even busy. Manager really needs to do some quality assurance here. On a positive note, the rude and slow barista did make good frappuccinos. read more

Sure, a SBucks review is sort of a copout. I mean, a sbucks is a sbucks is a sbucks, right? But if you're looking for a somewhat regular sbucks to go to, this one is meh. Yes, yes. Mom n' pop coffee shops. I support them fully, the sad truth of it is - sbucks is too damn convenient for it's own damn good. Or my own damn good. Either way - yes. I go to sbucks from time to time. In any case, the lines at this one are not very predictable. Sometimes at 8am it'll be as empty as a Utah stripclub, but others the line is out the door. Which leads us to my main issue - more often than not they are out of those spinach feta wraps. And, yeah. I do know that they are loaded with sodium and processed and all that jazz - but it's pretty tasty for a six point WW breakfast. AND THEY NEVER FREAKING HAVE THEM. Okay, other than that - the service is good, relatively fast and - hell, it's sbucks. You know the drill. read more

(Joseph, the other Adrian R., and Paul.) Also known as the 'Dream Team' staff. These boys know what customer service is! I first met Joe when I walked in a few years ago longing my favorite drink. He welcomed me and smiled ready to throw the question at me. "LET ME GUESS." Instantly I opened my eyes super intrigued to know if he'd get away guessing what I was going to order. He looked at me for a minute, placed his hand on his chin and let out "Frappuccino." YES! WHAT KIND!! I shouted at him, so beyond excited at this point. Again, he looked into my eyes, piercing them with his devilish smile. "green tea" WHAT OH MY GOD HOW DO YOU KNOW??! I was psyched. I couldn't believe it. Maybe it was a lucky guess, maybe he has a gift. Either way, he got it. After that I kept bringing friends so he could guess their drinks. He kept getting them right and I got more and more excited each time. Hahaha I could go on and on about this guy. Have you ever frequented an establishment so much that they know you by name and they know your usual order? I've brought them lunch and I've shared laughs and moments with them that you only have with friends dear and near to your heart. Yeah, I love these guys. I believe I went many times a week for about a year. Stopped going because of work, sadly. But if you're ever in the area craving a sweet treat and a warm smile to go with it, stop here. You won't regret it. Very slow service here. I am currently still sitting and waiting for my drink. It has been over 13 minutes... Come to find out they made the drink with regular milk than soy milk. Listen, it's simple communication... Let us know and it'll be fine. How is everyone else getting their drinks before us? The staple of Coffee. Personally, I'm a Peet's guy when asked the question, "which coffee chain do you like most? Coffee Bean, Peet's or Starbucks." That said, Starbucks has better chai than Peet's. Still, many of these place have canned looks/smells/coffee. Whenever I walk into a Starbucks, the first thing I notice is the sour smell. I could be blindfolded and know where I was (Blindfolding is fun, but keep it indoors folks). The second thing I notice is the same layout of cash register to display case. That and the colors: these places always seem to have a light brown paint color on their walls and non-offensive abstract paintings. Incidentally Hear music has got to be staying alive ONLY because of Starbucks always playing them. Overall my experience was acceptable. I appreciated the fact that I could get breakfast when I felt slightly ill. The service was nothing great, but definitely got the job done. read more

I would have given this Starbucks a 1/2 star rating for the 1st few times of me going in there. There was always some obnoxious barista or cashier complaining about some aspect of his or her job or life, for that matter. Silly me seriously didn't think this Starbucks would last over the one just 3 blocks away that had a way more professional staff. But since its opening, the staff now is friendly and a just bit more sedate compared to their predecessors. The baristas are dialed and get me high on my caffeine quickly. OMG- I just had the BEST customer service EVER from Adrian & Joe at this Long Beach Starbucks. These two gentlemen genuinely love their jobs and love helping people. I walked in to ask a quick question and found Adrian engaged with an elderly lady expressing his appreciation for her patronage. Then Joe came right behind him to ask me if I needed anything. I gota tell ya- I simply came in to steal a little wifi, but these men blew me away! I'm a CERTIFIED customer service snob and these two gave me impeccable service.
