Since it was cold, we sat inside but it'll definitely be fun to sit outdoors since it's facing a large green square (of grass) and there's also a little park adjoining it. Loved the old photos of Ephesus hung on the walls and the tables too+wall decor reflects the old colonial spirit. We had the sahlep ( special winter drink) which is said to be the best ever and we can vouch that it was delicious. Also had a pastry which was yummy. Recommended.

We sat outside on the balcony overlooking a beautiful garden and pool (presumably part of the Alvya Hotel which the restaurant is part of). After dinner, we were greeted by the owner and the chef and he thanked us for visiting. I thanked him for a great dinner and he was even nice enough to take my son on a quick tour of the kitchen ;) when we return to Izmir again, we will definitely go back. Teşekküller Mitu staff. ;)

To drink they have Efes, Bomonti, Miller, raki, and red and white wines. I had the plate of fried things, which were so good we had to order another side of potato wedges - really crispy! We also ordered the bonfile sote. The meat was so tender and along the edge of the plate, there were MORE potato wedges. I tried the white wine, which was good. A really fun place. My only complaint was that it was so smoky...not the business' fault - just keep it in mind should you have asthma, allergies, etc.
