I have been to Istanbul airport a handful of times. It has become a tradition that when I am with my boyfriend at this airport, we stop by this particular Starbucks. I have a weakness for pastries and baked goodies. He ends up buying a snack for me. The first time, it was this fabulous, tart lemon cake. I love the lemon loaf that you can get at Starbucks in North America. I wish that this lemon cake was available, too. It's incredibly yummy. I love a good chocolate croissant. The next time we were at the airport, he got me one. It was flaky, chocolaty goodness. It's fun visiting Starbucks whenever I travel. I get to figure out what baked goods are available and I end up consuming them. The folks who work at this cafe are polite and competent. The food is yummy. (70) read more

I wondered why there was hardly any line when I approached the counter to place my order. Not your top of the line Starbucks.....I am not even sure my frappucino contained the coffee I needed so desperately at the hour of day I arrived! It tasted very milky and sweet. The people working there were not very friendly and who knows if they have ever had any official Starbucks training. I would venture a big ole guess of NO! If you're the management at this store, you may want to check in with your Monday morning crew to see if they're happy and versed in customer service. I was relieved when a fellow customer was in line to help me realize that the gruff grunts of the cashier meant he wanted payment which I was happy to give, once I was able to see the cash register total which happened to be blocked by a display of health bars. Make it so your customers can see their totals and then they will understand it's time to pay. read more

Located at the food court up on the mezzanine. Free WiFi. Just scan your boarding pass to get an unique Internet pin code. Better to take a photo of the pin code than to print a copy. There was a paper jam anyway so take a photo of the code. Two hours for free. Our friend scanned her boarding pass multiple times so she was finally locked out. We wanted two black drip coffees. The barista said it'll take six minutes for the drip process. She suggested an Americano instead. Worked for us. read more

Ambience oh if only! Still you can get a consistent cup of coffee with a pastry. That is the thing about chain cafés, restaurants or whatever. It is familiar and that is sometimes exactly what is needed. The comfort of the familiar. It makes adventuring to new cafés and restaurants all the more special. read more

Unfriendly stuff. It seemed they didnt like foreigners. Some customers complained about it. Coffee was as good as always, but atmosphere was really bad. read more
