I don't consume caffeine but have a gift card so have been getting hot or iced chocolate (yes, as in chocolate milk) @ various locations. This location made 1 of the most flavor lacking iced chocolate - despite having a shot of hazelnut for oomph. Located literally next to work, i visit atleast 7-8 a week. never had a complaint yet. Baristas are very nice and quick some even remember me name or order. Can get crowded/cramped because it is a bit more narrow but everything moves fast. read more

I have always been a fan of this little coffee shop because it's a short walking distance from where I work. The service is a hit or miss...it all depends on who's the barista for the day. Unfortunately there were times where I literally waited 15 minutes on a simple passion tea lemonade drink that would normally take minutes to make and times where the baristas were on their down time ignoring me and assuming all I wanted was a sandwich that I was holding in my hand (how rude! Ordered a strawberry passion tea. The cashier had okay customer service and didnt have to wait that long for my drink (because the place was dead) barista could have been faster though, but it came out watery like really watered down juice(couldn't really drink it) and the cup wasn't even full. Selling it 'till 12/11/17 (Monday) for a few days only, nationwide. If you love mint-chocolate-chip ice cream, this is your jam. But over 400 cals, so be judicious in when you're inhaling this. Quick turnaround on the row of seats alongside the counter facing the window. But it's so tight in here, not the ideal place to work. When it's super cold, buy your hot coffee here then get your bowl of arrozcaldo (chicken or something else? Very convenient if you work around the area. I work at walmart so every time I need a refill I can just walk around the corner. It gets busy during the morning but the workers there are very fast and efficient. My favorite is the unsweetened green tea because I'm not to much of a coffee person but the tea has more caffeine and is healthier for you. read more

90% of the time, this place has horrible service. I've noticed that when I come in the morning, the lines are long but the baristas are better. When I go in the afternoon, its terrible. This has been true the last 3 times I've gone. I don't know her name but there's any older lady that's always at the cashier. She is not friendly, and when there's a promotion, coupon, or anything, she isn't knowledgable and gives me a hard time. She tries to turn me away and I have to insist that she check with another barista. I really rather not go to this location. But sometimes I have to make a run for others. This is a follow-up review of my HORRIBLE experience at THIS particular Keeaumoku Starbucks..... On Wednesday, 03/01/17, I called this Starbucks to speak with the "manager" to ensure he was aware of his two lackluster employees that my friend and I had the DISPLEASURE of dealing with the evening before. When I reiterated the HORIBLE customer service my friend and I received, he adamantly apologized SEVERAL times during our short conversation and immediately offered to bestow me with a gift card to make up for his two employees' UNprofessional & RUDE behavior...and also expressed to me that he would leave it at the register, so if and when I went shopping at Walmart I could just pick it up anytime. I, personally, thought that this manager was very 'COOL' in the way he tried to make things 'right', however, just tonight (i.e., about 6 p.m. on Monday, 03/06/17) my friend happened to be at Walmart, so she entered the same Starbucks with the SAME TWO RUDE female employees working, inquired about the gift card and...GUESS WHAT?! The manager did NOT EVEN follow through...there was NO gift card available! So, my guess would be that he, the daytime manager, is JUST AS BAD as his employees! In addition, IF this is TYPICAL behavior coming from "Management," GO FIGURE WHY these TWO female employees GET AWAY with SUCH RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

This is another Starbucks- the menu is self explanatory IMHO what is different is the store is way smaller than expected of the usual Starbucks and the set up is way better- in one door Mountain side and out Ocean side. There are high chairs facing the windows which would be extremely distracting for me - I would just sit and watch tourists carry their packages all day long going back and forth between Wal-mart and Ala Moana and back to their hotels- I would make so many Walter Mitty moments my coffee would get cold. I would suggest not sitting outside- as I never know which person/s who may be currently off their medications and have a break down / crazy fit in front of me or be pestered where Wal-mart is by clueless tourists- So I grab and go mostly back to the salt mines. menu- again is normal- bakery though runs thin after a while and less is there in the afternoons- maybe Beautiful Existence visited HI too. Servers are nice - they are in a hurry but polite. I used to come to this Starbucks almost every day because it's closer to my apartment, I just moved from Manoa. Every time I've come in, something has been wrong with the drink I ordered. I'm not really a confrontational person and I work as a server so I am really kind and understanding when things are wrong, I just ask them to fix it - should be no big deal - it's not like my drink is a super complicated order. Well, the workers are extremely rude every time I come in and they seem to be rude to everyone who isn't considered "one of their regulars" that they know by name and will start to make their drink before they've reached the cash register while there are others waiting in line. I stopped coming here because I was just frustrated with the attitude of the workers when I wasn't even being difficult and who wants to deal with rude baristas every morning? Not me. Well today I made the mistake of going back there because I was feeling lazy and didn't want to drive far. I mobile ordered as I usually do. When I got there, I could tell they were swapped, and of course my drink was wrong as usual. When I asked them to just at the topping I asked for, the lady was extremely rude and rolled her eyes. Look lady - you have to pay extra money for the extra toppings so I think it's understanding to ask them to add them if they forgot. Well the barista rolls her eyes at me, adds the topping and slams the lid on. As I'm leaving I realize my other drink is green and I had ordered a Caramel macchiato. So I went back to the pick up counter and the barista completely ignored me for like 3 minutes. I realized they were busy so I just decided to go wait in the line to order. When I got to the register, an older gentlemen who had always been rude to me asked what he could get for me and I just asked if they could make me a caramel macchiato because for some reason my drink was green. He was extremely rude and yelled at me saying, "Well I don't know why it's green but sure I guess I'll remake it". I'm not sure if the workers just hate their job, don't know how to read the labels, or are just generally rude but I will never be returning to this location. I'd rather drive to Kahala where the workers are polite, Beretania where they're very quick or any of the locations in Ala Moana where the workers are also friendly. Seems to me it's time for this location to hire some new staff. read more

after visiting Island Vintage Coffee several times (yes, i'm addicted already), i decided to venture into a Starbucks to compare. i hate that my base for comparison has to be a chain coffee shop such as SB, but that's what i had available to me at the time...... Starbucks, you can make up as many adjectives as you like, but this does not hide the fact that i had some whack-ass espresso from you. AND..... mocha flavor? where are you? were you hiding behind the smoldering wreck that was this drink?... i could not find you :( people, how have we let starbucks become our base for what "good coffee" is supposed to be? i think we need to raise our standards, don't you? now i know why hipsters only go to small, local owned coffee shops..... its for the damn coffee! i usually get an iced chai , or their "in Hawaii only" oatcakes from Starbucks, if i get anything at all..... maybe i should stick with those things :P if the barista actually does impact the way the coffee tastes from one SB to the next, then this location really needs to train theirs better!!! read more

Since I visit this location on a weekly basis I suppose a review is long overdue. Located next to Walmart on Keeaumoku Street, this Starbucks can get pretty busy in the morning and the line can tend to creep out the door. The baristas here are super fast and friendly making this one of my favorite locations. It's kinda small inside and seating is limited for those of you who like to bring your laptops and stay awhile. The only downside to this Starbucks is that I noticed the prices are a little higher than other locations... Not sure why. read more

I came to your store about 3:45pm today. I ordered two venti drinks and paid $5.18 for each drink. We stayed inside the store and enjoyed our frappe and iced latte. I have been a Gold member for almost 8 years so I know what the refill procedure is. The reason for my 2 star rating is none of the employees seem to know about the refill procedure. Instead I was told, "its not in our manual". Then she says "I'll allow this refill this time, but next time no free refills." I offered to pull up the info but this young lady asked me "do you want your free refill or not?" Just the way I was spoken to was enough fuel my fire! However, being a customer service professional, I kept calm and accepted the one time refill offered by this young lady. I also mentioned to them I was given a refill when I visited their store previously. I mentioned who the employee was and they knew her. In any case, I copied the refill procedure which is on the Starbucks website. And I'll post as a photo here for everyone to see. I hope your store manager educates new employees because I felt frustrated telling the employees about the free refills! And please DO NOT try to prove the customer wrong especially when I tell you I've been getting free refills for years! Also this store needs to have their employees names on their aprons like the Waikiki locations! I go almost everyday to the location by the Honolulu Zoo and it feels good to be treated so wonderfully by all the employees there. BTW, they all know about the free refills!! In conclusion I also called the Starbucks Customer Service number and the rep verified that ALL EMPLOYEES should know about the free refills. It is a procedure followed by ALL STARBUCKS STORES including your store!! Please don't deny loyal customers like myself....my free refill because I spend a lot of my hard earned dollars to spend at your stores on Oahu & California. Peace Out! read more

Starbucks at this location is awesome. There lines get long but the service is fast and they remember every drink. The workers remember you by name and make you feel like this is your 3rd place. If you ever go there ask for MJ or Janeen because there the best!! My personal favorite is a Passion tea lemonade sweetened and extra shaken. read more

Most Starbucks are the same in terms of drinks and service, but this Starbucks in particular is my favorite in the area. The baristas are efficient and super friendly! I don't drink coffee which tells you a lot that I'm actually here. It's convenient for me as I worn nearby and I also can get some shopping done. They also are able to make my favorite drink....Venti Green Tea Apple Juice, one pump classic sweetener. Try it out if you haven't already. The only cruddy thing about this branch is it isn't really big so hanging out here indoors may not be the best option for you. Great little Starbucks snuggled in next to the Wal-Mart on keeaumoku street. This is a small shop with limited seating, but the baristas still have plenty of aloha! This is a great little spot to grab a coffee and some wi-fi while my Kimi is shopping at Sams club or Wal-Mart and I don't feel the need to tag along. read more

Friendly and fairly fast staff. Starbucks at this location is convenient when going shopping at Walmart or Sams club. Really the only decent coffee in the area. I'm a huge coffee person and I like to modify a lot of my drinks to soy milk or with additional syrups. They never seem to have a problem helping me and usually don't give me attitude which can be a big turn off. I would travel distances to avoid a bitchy cashier. I definitely like this location more than the ward one next to wahoos. They are so rushy. The last time I was there I decided to just get a plain grande hot coffee and put in the fixings myself. Had to get more half and half as the y were out. I asked politely for it and this older man working the area where they give out the orders was so rude. Didn't make eye contact or say a word. They never make my Sweetened Passion Tea Lemonade With EXTRA Thai SHAKEN, and Double Blended, NO Whip, NO Drizzle Mocha Frappuccino, the way I like it, NO matter WHO the barista is!!
