What's not to like about this Starbucks location? We've been here several times and it's about time that I write a review. It's conveniently located near the Honolulu International Airport with a large parking lot. We've stopped here while either waiting to pick up an arrival or after dropping off someone at the airport. It has been recently renovated to look like the other Starbucks coffeehouse by LEED certified designers and using eco-friendly sustainable building practices. Apparently, there is also a push for the interior designers of the coffeehouses to reflect the character of the neighborhood, too. The baristas are quite friendly and efficient. Whenever we've been here, if there was a line, the baristas were able to keep up a good work pace to get the beverages out in a timely manner and correct to the customer requests. We did come here when there were only a few patrons. The baristas on-duty were able to chat with us and still got our orders out quickly. The premises were clean and the condiments were well-stocked. Admittedly, we're not "regulars" at this site but from what we've experienced, our beverages have always been prepared in a timely manner and served at the proper temperature. #326 read more

This place has some very cheerful workers at all times of the day. I've been here as early as 5am and as late as 8pm, and have always got the same friendly service. The tables may not always be full but there is always a line here. Be prepared to wait. The customer base here is a wide range, there's the people who work in the industrial area, all the airport workers, tourists, military and everyone else in between. Despite the crowd, the line usually moves very well. They are pretty well staffed at peak times as well. The one thing I love about this Starbucks is the variety of food items. They have a wide variety of the baked goods and breads. I've learned that some locations only carry certain items but luckily this one has them all. They have all the breads, scones and chocolate croissants which are my favorite, and they cannot be found at all Starbucks as I have learned the hard way. They have all the sandwiches, both hot and cold and all the yogurts. Now Starbucks has these over priced bistro boxes that I love. And this location has them all, as long as you go early enough. So far, I like the salami and the tuna salad one. Friendliness, speed and variety is what brings me back here time and time again. Probably the worst Starbucks I've been to. No greeting when we came in. He wasn't even looking at us when we were ordering. Let alone talk. Then our cup sat there for a bit waiting for our drink to be made. While 3 other workers were standing and sitting around talking. And taking crap about customers. We get our coffee and it tastes like it has been sitting all day. I drink the same thing all the time so I know when coffee tastes old. We sat at the table and the girl came behind us to restock the napkins. She just left the box there. And went to talk to her friends again. I know how serious Starbucks is with customer service. I called customer service after my negative experience yesterday and they explained that Starbucks is discontinuing offering their current brand of teas and will be offering some other brand instead. Based on what I learned, I wish the employee would have given me this information so I would have had a more accurate context vs what felt like a rude response (see my other review from yesterday). Also, this doesn't explain why they didn't have either type of coffee cake available. At least they had the warm egg wrap. I'll be back to this location as it is closest to my office, though hope they improve having all products available and improve how their employees explain reasons for why they don't have something available (if applicable). I was a Starbucks addict in college but now that I'm currently in training for HAL, I am gradually reliving my caffeine addiction one Venti Soy Blond Vanilla Latte with an extra shot of Espresso at a time. I appreciate that despite the craziness that has been training, this particular Starbucks is a nice reprieve. The baristas are welcoming and friendly, and they sure do know how to whip up a superb cup of joe. They also take the time to pay attention to little details such as your name (if you have a name tag) or your order(s) if you're a regular, which help put a smile on anyone's face. Overall, if you're in need of a caffeine fix or perhaps a snack or a quick lunch, this Starbucks location is definitely worth the visit. read more

This is my first time going to this particular Starbucks. My group members and I headed here around 7 PM. I thought it was going to be PACKED, but fortunately it wasn't so that was a good thing. I also noticed they seemed to have a lot more outlets. Unlike other Starbucks locations, it was spacey, the tables weren't clustered together so there was breathing room. The workers were friendly especially when there was questions about re-fills and about giving re-fills. When it came to re-fills I thought they'd use the same cups from the previous purchase, but they used new ones! I don't think it helps if they want to be known as being green. One bathroom. I usually only come to this Starbucks if the power goes out at home and my coffee maker fails me. It's pretty good. I've personally never had a really bad experience with this location, as I've seen from some other reviewers. I've had my coffees be a little light in the cup (as in the cup felt like it was only half full) but the taste is consistently good. With this location I absolutely use the Starbucks Ap. This one is just way too busy to drop in unannounced. Maybe that's why my experience with this Starbucks has been better than others - instead of having to wait in line to place my order and then wait again to get my order, I bypass half of the process. I wish she would have been wearing a name tag so I could call her out here. She needs some customer service training... no smiles, just whispers! This is probably the Starbucks I frequent most because it's the closest to my work office. I've always experienced really good service here. Granted, the line moves slower--once there was only one cashier working at the register--but they always make sure your parking ticket has the validation sticker. And, I feel like the baristas here have been some of the more cheerful ones I've seen at Starbucks. This location can be busier because it's closer to the airport. I usually go to this location on my way to work, or before/after dropping the boyfriend off at the airport. I've found I'd rather go to this location than to the Moanalua Starbucks just because my drinks tend to turn out better. This location was where I got my birthday reward from (free Venti drink), as well as some of the other Gold Level rewards. One specific incident comes to mind - I use the Starbucks mobile app and was trying to redeem my reward, but the cashier charged me by accident. She apologized and explained her mistake, and then credited the amount back to my account and gave me my drink free for the day. So, I got to redeem my reward another time. This just shows how the workers here generally go above and beyond. I'm willing to wait a few extra minutes for my drink just to come to this location, even though others are speedier. The customer service here is usually really good, and my drinks come out consistently well, too. I tend to have a "usual" drink order, but I've deviated a few times to try other things. Remember, you don't even need a parking ticket validation if you stay in the plaza for less than 10 minutes; I think free parking is for an hour, but I'm not usually there for that long. Here's what I usually get: "Iced Caramel Macchiato": The "Caramel Macchiato" is my go-to drink from Starbucks when it comes to iced drinks. The "Caramel Macchiato" features espresso combined with vanilla-flavored syrup, milk and caramel sauce over ice. I just make sure I get soy milk when I get this drink and I'm good to go. I recently learned that this macchiato can be ordered stirred or layered (when the caramel walls aren't blended in as well). With the former, everything is evenly mixed throughout; with the latter option, you can readily enjoy chunks of caramel because everything isn't as well-blended throughout. I usually get my drinks stirred (so I don't have to end up stirring everything myself). No matter what size I get here, my "Caramel Macchiato" turns out to be delicious. I always say "light ice," so the cup isn't overwhelmingly full with ice. I feel like the baristas always put in a good amount of caramel as well, which always makes the drink better. I think I've only ordered the "Caramel Macchiato" hot once; I prefer it in iced form because it's far more refreshing. "Pumpkin Spice Latte": I finally tried the PSL from this location ... and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Granted, pumpkin is never my flavor of choice, but one of my friends told me I had nothing to worry about because this drink only featured a light pumpkin flavor. She told me you could really taste the cinnamon and other spices, so I decided to give it a try while it was in season. I actually used the mobile ordering option for the first time when I got this drink; it worked really well! You could place your order from home/while you're in route to the store, and your order is ready at the pick-up counter within 3-7 minutes. It was all ready for me by the time I got to this Starbucks, and while it was warm, it wasn't piping hot ... perfect temperature for drinking. The famous PSL features signature espresso and milk highlighted by flavor notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. It usually comes with whipped cream and real pumpkin pie spices, but I ordered my drink sans whipped cream and with soy milk. I really did like how it embodied "fall" in a cup. I enjoyed the subtle--not overpowering--pumpkin taste, as well as the stronger cinnamon flavor (I love cinnamon). I would definitely order this hot option again when it's in season. And, now that I've discovered how helpful mobile ordering can be, I'll probably do it more often so I don't even have to wait. "Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino": I've gotten several of the seasonal, blended beverages from this location; the "Salted Caramel Mocha Frapp" just happened to be one of them. This delicious blend features mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup with coffee, milk and ice. It's finished off with sweetened whipped cream, caramel sauce and a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt. It's a great sweet-salty combo. I loved the sweetness from the mocha flavors and caramel, but you can aptly taste the sea salt in every sip. I highly recommend getting this whenever it's available. read more

I usually get my coffee near where I live... however I had to drop my son & granddaughter off at the airport , so I decided to get my coffee here. I was there with my 3 yr old granddaughter. The young man that helped me was awesome, my coffee was also awesome. My problem actually started when I got home & my granddaughter realized she left her Minnie Mouse slipper there. So I decided to give them a call & a female worker answered the phone politely, until she heard parking lot... that's when the rudeness began, no longer her business. I wasn't expecting her to go out of her way, just asking if anyone has turned it in or if any of the workers so happen go out & seen it. I know it's no big deal to us adults but to my granddaughter it was a big deal. She had recently got an early Easter gift from her Aunty in New Mexico (Minnie mouse slippers). I called today to ask if I could get the number to the company that takes care of the parking lot...again rude, this time I got her name Sam! I called back a 3rd time & spoke to A manager name Mia, who was very polite & apologetic for her rude employees. Thank you Mia for taking the time to hear me out. Okay, this is one of my favorite starbucks on the island. The people here are SUPER friendly. They greet all their customers with a smile and friendly greetings as they leave. Even though this starbucks is close to a business area, the lines move fairly quickly. That's probably because everyone comes here regularly and already knows what they want. Their drinks are also on point (or maybe that's because it's on the sweeter side). So far I've tried their raspberry white mocha (hot) and it came out tasting delicious (again, sweeter than other starbucks i've been to..but I'm not complaining). I've also tried the passion tea lemonade (sweetened, iced). It was so delicious I bought a box of their passion tea bags to try recreate this goodness at home! This Starbucks is located just outside of HNL airport and has a big free parking lot. This is the perfect location to wait park the car and wait to pick up passengers arriving to HNL airport. Last week when I went the place was busy with at least five people in line. The service was fast and efficient. I think I would like this place if some of the workers weren't such beezies! Every time I've been there nobody really seems to actually "work." Instead, everyone is always chatting and laughing. I remember I would find myself standing in front of the cashier for 5 mins until she was done talking. Are you fucking kidding me? GET TO WORK AND MAKE ME MY COFFEE! Also, I remember I ordered a Iced Black Tea with EXTRA Thai walls. Instead of getting extra Thai walls, I got a "Thai drizzle." I asked the barrista nicely if I could have more Thai Walls because I did order extra. She ends up rolling her eyes at me and starts giving me an attitude. I was not pleased with that whatsoever. THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE STARBUCKS THUS FAR! Why? Well I have to admit, due to a recent job change, I've been frequenting this one more often. It's like "Cheers," a place where everybody knows your name...well maybe not always my name, but often at least my drink of choice. The staff here is GREAT, and are able to handle the rushes that come through here and there. If I'm there in the morning, as I usually can be, my favorite barista will spot me and know exactly what I'll probably order and gets it started. They really know how to make you feel special. When they are slower, I always ask them for a recommendation, as I try to change it up once in a while. Overall, yea it's Starbucks. The menu is the same, but the service is so wonderful! This is the 2nd closest Starbucks to my house. When I don't want to deal with the parking issues over by the NEX Starbucks I drive a little further and come here. When I first moved to Hawaii I lived in a hotel for two months that was only a few blocks away. I came to this Starbucks every other day! This Starbucks is located in the Airport Trade Center. (Next to Jamba Juice, Big Kahuna's Pizza, L&L Drive-In, and The Medical Corner). This has got to be the slowest Starbucks ever!! And I mean slow. I usually stop by here and hang out when I'm picking up someone from the airport. Better than hanging out in the designated cell phone areas. The staff is friendly, usually 2 or 3 of them working. But they really don't seem motivated to get the drinks made when there are tons of people waiting. This is the best Starbucks on the island of Oahu. Being a college student, I'm always on the hunt for thee perfect place to study and this is always my go-to. The atmosphere in the library scares me sometimes because it feels so serious. However, at Starbucks the atmosphere is more calm and relaxing. You can grab drinks whenever you want and it's in a great shopping center with a lot of food choices and ample amount of parking.
