It's very busy here on weekends! Every time I come it's typically a Saturday morning and drinks take about 10-15 mins. But they make the drinks AHMAZINGGGG!! I got the matcha latte was made perfect not too sweet and not too bitter. There's seating inside and outside. I believe they have an upstairs.

I love this location. I've been coming here for over a decade. Everyone here is so friendly and of course, service is AMAZING.

Close to GMU. The service is good, and they also have a work/study quiet area on the top (second floor) which is an added attraction to anyone that wants to work/study with a nice cup of Joe.

It's a comfortable spot. I do really like the upstairs area. This can be relaxing, although my goodness it can be busy. Also the parking is difficult. A lot of non drivers. Thankfully a very nice staff here. These men and women have my complete respect. I honestly don't know how they deal with the masses. Starbucks Christmas blend is delicious. So miss the Rift Valley though. As for their other coffees average. There's a burnt taste I'm not thrilled with. It works for a caffeine pick up though. All of us are addicts. I do wish the mocha fraps didn't have coffee grounds, and the food is overpriced.

Interesting location with the most random set up known to Starbucks land. A two level location with the baristas on the lower level with barely any seating and the upper level looks big from below but it's a small offering of tables and a few couches. The store felt like the cold air was trapped in the store which was a tad bit odd but I'll attribute that to there being entrances on both levels. My drink was okay despite repeating my request twice and even having it repeated back to me, it was still made sans non fat milk. Yet I was not the only customer whose drink was incorrectly assembled as the gentleman's drink ahead of mine contained an extra shot lol. All in all, service was ok, tad bit ow so this may not be the location to drop into if you are in a rush as the mobile orders had to wait just as long. I did notice they have a designated spot for delivery drivers to pick up orders.

I ordered venti ice matcha green tea latte. The cup was 3 quarter full... and the taste was ok. I was expected the cup to be full since we paid for it. And the top was all foamy and once it melted, it looked like in the picture. Please consider to fill it up to the top.. thanks.

WEIRD STARBUCKS. It's disappointing for the Starbucks in downtown Fairfax not to be such a good go-to option. By no fault of their own, they draw a strange clientele that you just have to ignore sometimes. Downstairs, there is one table reserved for handicapped patrons and a bar that you don't want to sit at unless you want to make conversation with some strange randos. There's an upstairs seating area, but it feels far away from where they are calling drinks, and the seats aren't that comfortable. I was in there today and they forgot my drink order. I had to remind them after about 15 minutes (my husband's drink came out right away). It would be better if there could be more downstairs seating or if they brought the ordering area upstairs.

This Starbucks location has amazing customer service. Whether it is slow or busy, the employees are always putting their all and it shows. It's amazing how much they are able to get done in such a short period of time. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The employees are always connecting with the customers, and they create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for anyone who enters. What was especially note worthy was how these employees go above and beyond. Today, my boyfriend and I came in to celebrate his 20th Birthday, as we Starbucks is a part of our routine. It was slow when we came in around 2:45 today, and the staff was super helpful in helping us figure out how to order his free birthday drink. We waited patiently for his birthday drink and quickly saw how busy this Starbucks location is. Whether it be mobile orders, in person customers, or guest requests, the staff works incredibly as a team to ensure each customers satisfaction. We received our first drink promptly after ordering it, and were waiting for his birthday drink. It became extremely busy, so we waited a little longer than expected to, visit. I was impressed by the number of drinks produced by these employees in such a short time frame, and we were ultimately extremely satisfied with our experience today.

    Great seating for work space!

Great service with exceptional seating for a great mid afternoon work space! Parking is different than where directions will bring you but once in here, it's worth it! Service is super speedy and efficient!

Decent amount of seating both indoor and outdoor. Staff is friendly. I tried the dac biet (combo) with extra pickled vegetables. Pickled veg was super sweet/ needs a little more vinegar or something. Their combo says it comes with jambon, Vietnamese ham, and pork roll- I don't know which of these ingredients is head cheese but it definitely had head cheese. I don't like the gelatinous texture of head cheese so I asked for them to not put that on. It also comes with the usual Vietnamese mayo/pate, as well as a drizzle of some sort of chili sauce. The sauce didn't deter from taste. The bread was super hard and not in a good way. It softened after a quick nuke in the microwave. Overall, decent, I'd come back again, but not the best banh mi.

As of this review, Banh Mi Ong Beo has been in operation for 6-ish months. And while there are many positives about this place, operational kinks need to be smoothed out. Located in the University Mall across from George Mason, BMOB (should've arranged the letters to create the "BOMB" acroynm), is in a great location. I'm here often enough to catch a flick at the movie theatre or as in this instance, I was attending a conference at GMU. After the meeting, Yelp popped up this new banh mi place to check out. The interior is decorated tastefully and creates an inviting space to hang out. Counter seating and semi-uncomfortable backless chairs line the front windows, while the rest of the shop has more traditional tables and chairs, including a cozy couch area with an electric fireplace. Colorful lanterns and Viet style artwork also adorn the walls and ceilings. As is my penchant, I ordered the Dac Biet (or combo) as this is the benchmark by which any good banh mi place is measured by. The sando was ready in about 5 min, and I wanted to enjoy it fresh at the restaurant. On first inspection, I could feel it had good weight to it and it was filled with an appropriate portion of meats and veggies. While I thought the sammich was good, my tasting notes were: * Bread - Not sure if they bake bread on premises, but it didn't taste "fresh." The exterior was crunchy (correct) but the interior was too dry. But I get it; the place is still new so they don't want to order or bake too much bread to keep food waste down. * Pickled Veggies - One of the hallmarks of a banh mi sando, are the pickled carrots and daikon radish. IMHO, these were waaay too sweet. I liked that the vinegar flavor wasn't overpowering, but tamp down on the sugar. Also, I thought the veggies weren't drained properly so the bread got soggy when it was compressed. I would suggest using less liquid when storing the veggies on the prep table. Again, as this place gets busier, I don't see this being an issue. I didn't try any of the drinks, but did notice a few GMU students wandering in to get an order of the egg coffee and cafe su da. When judging a banh mi shop, the ultimate factor for me is whether the place prevents me from having to drive to either DC Banh Mi (my preferred destination) or Eden Center where there are a plethora of options. As of now, Banh Mi Ong Beo does not meet that criteria; especially at $9-$10 a sandwhich which is on the higher price point compared to other shops. But I'll check back in a few months to see if my opinion has changed.

It's the kind of thing that's probably best eaten on the spot, particularly given the possibility of something melting in the summer. I preserved the majority of my dessert spread but there were some items that didn't travel well. The desserts were expensive, but impressive. I also appreciated the variety of savory items being more than most dessert shops, and oddly these may have been received better than the sweets. The range of fruity and nutty desserts, many shaped to look like their ultimate flavor source, certainly generated appeal. It was a pricey indulgence, but I certainly found merit in what I bought.
