Wow I just came in for a mobile order. I walked to the counter and saw one cup on the counter but it looked like a hot cup so I said "excuse me" very politely. The person ignored me pretending I wasn't there. So I said excuse me again. After 4 attempts I walked to the front trying to get any of the workers to make eye contact and when one finally did. I asked very nicely if my order could be iced cause that's how I ordered it. She looked at me like I was a complete idiot and said "That IS a cold cup" with major attitude. I had never seen that cup before. Whenever I've ordered iced it's been clear so I didn't know. The two girls looked at each other rolling their eyes as if I was inconveniencing them so much and I have never had such a brief and rude interaction in any Starbucks. I used to work for Starbucks for 5 years and my boss probably would have written me up if he saw me act like this staff was acting. I was so insulted and frankly shocked at the horrible customer service. No one should ever be treated like that for asking a simple question. I just am not that good of a coffee connoisseur to distinguish the difference from my pikes to your reserve blends. But I love your affogato! That is something worth paying extra for. Atmosphere - Worn down from when you first remodeled. But still spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of mall parking, some for only 30 minutes. Open 7 days a week from 4:30am or 6am to 8pm. Service - Good, well just okay. Nothing special, but not negative either. Price - $3 for my pikes, but I believe the Reserve coffee here is much more expensive. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1971 and being the largest coffeehouse chain in the world! #114 on the Fortune 500 list. This store is at the end of a long strip mall, TJ Max is the anchor and Starbucks is located on the end of the mall near De Anza Blvd. People come and go, but parking is sometimes a bit of a challenge. The space is large and inviting after its most recent remodel. They always get my drinks right and timely. WiFi is good enough for zoom calls and it's never too loud. I'm usually here in the mornings for a half day and have noticed it gets crowded around noon, but even then there always seems to be a table available. I came here yesterday around 9am (6/11/25) and ordered a large iced sugar free vanilla latte, as soon as I received it, I asked the barista (Mexican with glasses) if I can have a medium water with ice. This Starbucks is a convenient place to go to when you want a nice drink of coffee. I have been using this location a lot during a period of time when I wanted to try all of the frappes. The best non-seasonal frappes are the Strawberry and Green Tea, though I would recommend the Peets Matcha Frappe more if you prefer stronger matcha flavors. The affogato is also very enjoyable (though you will no longer be able to get it here). Also, please keep in mind that this place is no longer a Starbucks Reserve. I learned this the hard way when my sister wanted to get a Reserve item for her birthday, only to learn that we could no longer get it and we would have to travel a faraway distance to get it. read more

It was a quiet Saturday afternoon here. Barely anyone in the shop and nobody in line. Unfortunately, even with few customers and nobody in line, the barista was quite unhelpful. We were in the vicinity and decided to get usual starbucks drinks (not reserve drinks, which apparently the menu ONLY shows reserve drinks), and asked for her own recommendation. To which she said "I only drink reserve drinks so I wouldn't know." Seems a little stuck up coming from Starbucks, but ok, we ended up opening our app and looking at the menu from there and ordered. This whole experience just made me not want to come back here, even though the drink was fine. Placed a mobile order at 11:25am on a Saturday, went in at 11:35am and saw this employee working on a drink that seemed to be mine (1x grande Americano with oat milk) so I thought "perfect timing". But after he's done making it, he checked the label and placed it next to the expresso machine instead of the mobile order pick-up area. So I thought, well maybe it wasn't mine. I was waiting till 11:50am, seeing so many orders being made and ready but still didn't see my drink. I was just standing there the whole time, not one employee cared to ask what my order was. Instead, just chatting while making and putting drinks down without looking. The place was a mess with liquid and cups all over the floor, the pick up area was filled of spills. So by 11:50am I went and ask that guy about my drink. He asked for my name and started looking. I then asked if the one by the machine was mine, he checked and yes it was. And it was sitting there the whole time. He then offered to remake it because it's already cold to the touch. I appreciated this gesture that's why I'm still leaving them a 2-star. I came here expecting the Starbucks Reserve experience. However, when I visited in January 2023, it is no longer a Starbucks Reserve and is a regular Starbucks that's served the regular drinks and does not have any extra fancy coffee beans or special food. There's still one Starbucks Reserve cafe located in Danville at Hartz Ave and Prospect that I'll have to make a special trip to visit one day soon! Despite my disappointment, this location does offer the usual menu and pastries and I ordered a seasonal Pistachio Frappuccino which hit the spot for me. Additionally, a bonus for all the gardeners out there, this location has pre-packaged 5 pound bags of used coffee grounds that are free and located to the side of the counter that you can pick up and add to your garden compost to enrich your garden soil and add nitrogen. The bags say "Grounds for your Garden" and are usually already in the counter in the mornings. If you do not see any, you can ask the barista and they will prep one for you or ask you to come back later. It's a wonderful free service that only some Starbucks offer and I'm glad that this one does! read more

This place has been remodeled to a layout that's not as nice and open/flexible as before. The ceiling recessed lights are too sharp and bothersome to the eyes, also make the spot underneath too hot. Staff are not consistently friendly-some nice, some are not. And the quality of the drinks are also under normal standard-the powder in the drink was not thoroughly blended, showed impatiently made. Bougie Starbucks!! This place gets pretty packed so I probably wouldn't do my studying here - maybe if I had some light work to do if anything. I would recommend coming early if you choose to do so. What's unique about this place besides being huge is the menu! They have things you usually would not find at a regular Starbucks. I have gotten the Cold Brew Malt a few time which contains: Cold Brew, Mora's artisan vanilla ice cream and chocolate bitters - blended into an ultra-thick malted milkshake. Basically coffee + ice cream. If you like a sweet drink and some energy for the day, I would definitely try this! The only con would be that it's just a little expensive. TLDR: Do NOT get a refresher in the morning. Contaminated pitchers with cleaning chemicals -- staff only got annoyed, poured me 4 different contaminated VENTI refreshers (just pour + water/ice) They had me try every single one. I was gagging, dizzy, and got food poisoning. Ruined the next few days following... -------------------------------------- Never exactly had a serious problem with any Starbucks location until my last/recent visit at this one -- mistake was going in the morning to get a refresher which I almost never do. Would leave 0 stars if I could. Chemical contamination is not to be taken lightly... One morning, I realized my refresher tasted like chemicals/soap, was *quite* bubbly, and had a weird "cooling" effect... I already know they shake the drink with ice so there are bubbles from that which the workers reiterated to me later on, but this one was like... buuubbly... almost foamy and these large bubbles didn't go away... When I brought the weird "drink" to attention I was honestly gaslit by the staff with a "no you gotta be kidding me this isn't real this can't possibly be happening it's also probably not a big deal" type of attitude. At the very least, one of them who seemed to care a bit more actually said loudly in a shocked manner "this smells off" about the pitcher of strawberry acai concentrate mix that they were pouring from... I'm guessing that worker was not the one calling the shots because the others didn't really do anything and just brought out another pitcher to pour from... BUT that one also had the same issue... So that was not great either. They poured a bit of the mix for themselves to try "later" but I didn't get to see whether or not they really tried it... this one other worker who had some real attitude was just annoyed at me which... I don't think bringing chemical contaminants to attention is me being a difficult customer. If it were me I'd actually be glad that it was brought to attention... but again... gaslight/attitude? I asked that worker to try the concentrate and they said "oh no i'm not trying those you drank from each one of them already" to which i responded "i was asking you to pour yourself some into a new small cup like the others did from the pitcher. not try the ones i drank from". She muttered something and ended up ignoring me without actually responding so... LOL Also as a customer, I had to reassure THE STAFF "oh it's okay it happens" as I was gagging... and I never once heard from them anything along the lines of a "sorry we'll help the situation and make things better" I mean I get it there're things to do, you're busy, but it wasn't *that* busy when I was there... It felt like a good bunch of the team was just staring at me/listening in anticipation/annoyance so I felt pressured to sip all 5 they poured... I have to admit I was quite scared to even taste them... Also instead of a refund, which I asked for, they just kept making me the refresher over and over. You can't just keep pouring me some effed up drink mix over and over real quick and think it's gonna change anything... At the last one they poured which was probably the 5th drink or so, the dragonfruit refresher, it was still chemically/soapy with bubbles that WOULDN'T GO AWAY EITHER LOL and I didn't feel welcome so I just said "it's okay" and left. I've had the refresher countless times... I think I know when it's not right and tastes like I sprayed clorox in my mouth. Called support and they just offered me a gift card. I would appreciate attention to the issue, not a gift card. But thank you anyways. Asked for a follow-up but never received it. read more
