If you like coffee do not come here. I have came twice now and every time I come The coffee tastes burnt, there is coffee grounds inside the bottom of the cup. This is one hopping location. Right across from a busy business park, in the morning, you can forget about finding parking or a quick run through drive thru. The employees inside are hustling and getting orders completed as quick as possible. They are friendly, polite, and got me moving as fast they could. I also ordered mobilely and it was ready within minutes. Great location. Order was right. Food was fresh. People were amazing. Best location I've been to in a while. Across the causeway from Tampa where St. Petersburg meshes with Clearwater is one fine Starbucks. I could tell from driving by. It is on that racetrack of a thoroughfare that is Ulmerton, your first Pinellas County exit off I-275 when driving over from Tampa. (Many of the major roads around here are racetracks, with 3 lanes in each direction and frisky driving.) First, the staff was incredibly friendly. I told them I liked their store. They explained that this is the "regional" store and that it had been a bank at one time. That's why it also has a conference room. Clearly, their stuff is typical Starbucks fare, which garners about a 3.5 stars from the get go and for which the pricing is boilerplate, but what sells here is the ambiance. I'm not talking about a stellar ambiance but a really soothing one, with some comfortable seating and larger tables. There is also a nice patio outside. I came by here in the evenings so I didn't take photos. I also just went to get a cup of tea and to do some reading, writing, and organizing. And, yes, let me expand on a dynamic that I see from sea to shining sea - when you go for coffee or tea in a way cool neighborhood and at a way cool coffeehouse, your baristas may be turds with a little bit of attitude and apparel and counterculture appendages that come with that way cool packaging. Then, when you go to a coffeehouse in nice suburbs, the baristas mimic the change in atmosphere. At this Starbucks, you are right at the entrance to the Feather Sound area, with nice housing north of Ulmerton and corporate type digs south of Ulmerton, so the baristas are better groomed and are more polite and pleasant, commensurate with the surroundings. End of rant. Look for the big Shell station on the north side of Ulmerton. This recommended Starbucks will be across from it, on the same side of the street. read more

This place sucks, they overcharge everything for no reason. A plain venti iced chai costed seven dollars and a plain grande iced chai was six. It also took six workers over 20 minutes to make those two drinks. The worker that took my order was rude and gave me a dirty look as I chose my tip option. One worker was literally just playing with a thermometer with bare hands the whole 20+ minutes I was waiting for my drinks. Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. No where to park around 10am. If you park in the lot across from their drive through. You will be towed by A1 towing. I watched 4 cars get towed in less than 3 min after driver got out of vehicle. That's a bad partnership with the neighbor and their lot is not very well marked. So they must have a scout watching the lot. What a shame. Went in here for a quick pitstop Tuesday afternoon to re-energize my system with some go-go juice. I ordered a Triple Grande soy latte. This Starbucks has a Drive-Thru. While I was waiting, I noted to myself that it was weird to see Starbucks Barista's with headsets on. I pulled my pocket camera out and was about to snap off a shot of them with their headsets on and they yelled out "NO! You can't take pictures in here!" I inquired as to why? I sarcastically asked if my taking a picture of their Drive-Thru operation was going to reveal Top Secret Starbucks plans. The manager came over and told me that they were more concerned with maintaining the privacy of their employees. I'll buy that argument - we all know what a bunch of stalker types all of you Yelpers are! There was lots of inside seating here - and some outside seating as well. A number of folks were working away on laptops, presumably utilizing the T-mobile connection wireless internet connection. Horrible! Went at 5:00 to pickup my order after placing it on the app. When I got there I tried to go inside but they had a sign on the door that said they had close at 4pm today. When I got to the window I motioned to the girl behind the counter so I could inquire about receiving a refund. She would not talk to me or even come to the window to make an attempt to help me. I've frequented this Starbucks for many years due to it being close to a neighborhood where I used to live. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. The drive-through line can get pretty long, but employees are usually able to work through it fairly quickly. The coffee is always delicious. I find that this location is out of some food items frequently, so that is a little frustrating. I'm not sure if that is due to busyness or the store not stocking properly. This review is for this Starbucks location compared to other Starbucks. Everyone knows what to expect quality-wise from Starbucks. I'm not a huge fan of their coffee. I think there is much better out there. But, this Starbucks in particular, is a very cool Starbucks. This is "my" Starbucks. (the one near where I live) It's a cool place. There is outdoor seating and plenty of couches, comfy chairs indoors. It's one of the few Starbucks that sells wine and beer. This is definitely one of the nicer, bells and whistles, larger, and complete Starbucks. My one complaint is that when I order a Venti coffee, the lid often leaks. That's more of a "Starbucks in general" complaint since the lids are not specific to specific stores. Free WIFI, just as in all Starbucks. read more
