Arrived around 11:30am. The manager is sitting with her friends, one of whom cussed out my wife for knocking on the bathroom door. Drink orders took 20 minutes to fulfill because the manager made the staff make special drinks she gave away to her friends for free. Absolutely wretched experience. The staff look absolutely miserable and with the pathetically poor leadership from management it's clear why. Just bad, I order a caramel Frappuccino, comes with whip cream, mine didn't have it on it. When I asked for the whip cream rudely she said we don't have it right now we need to make more and she left me standing there. so I asked again, a different barista e she said the same thing. This is just not what I expect from Starbucks. It's overcrowded, service is slow inside the store, the cleanliness is not up to par and the drinks are prepared just OK. When you are paying a premium price you expect a premium product, and this place consistently disappoints on all counts. It feels like an airport Starbucks instead of a stand alone store. The staff are very friendly, however the service at this location is extremely slow. The app estimated my mobile order's preparation time to be 1-4 minutes. In reality, it was about 15 mins and then was incorrect. Staff were quick to rectify the error. read more

They have a drive thru but can get very crowded with a long line of cars. Inside they workers are very nice and helpful and try to get you your drinks as quick as they can. Love the little cups and mugs they sell and also now for the holidays they have some nice gift ideas and stocking stuffers. Prices are the same like any other Starbucks. read more

Now I needed a caffeine fix as I didn't have time to make some at home. I'm not a big fan of Starbucks but I need them this morning. And they did a damn good job, a large dark roast black coffee. The coffee had a full flavor with a little bark to it, just what I needed. The part I don't like is the price they run higher than the other establishments. But it would have cost more to drive to a different place so I can't complain to much. So If I'm caught in dire need again and no place to turn, I will return here to get my fix. read more

As far as the coffee goes, it's standard Starbucks, which is good. My issue, however, is that the service at the Chester location is so hit or miss. Especially if you order inside. There have been way too many experiences there where I had to wait close to 10 minutes for a drink, watching three or four people that had ordered after me get their drinks. Their drive-through is a lot more efficient. I've waited behind a line of 8 or 9 cars and had faster services than going inside to order. They tend to keep it moving. The people working the drive-through also typically appear nicer than the indoor staff. read more

This place was great to me, even during frappe happy hour! The guy at the cash register was not only nice to me, but every prior and subsequent customer as well! They were obviously busy since happy hour just hit, and they have a drive-thru, but they were all handling it like big bosses! Typical Starbucks gets an average 3-star review, but the b.s. that this troupe of baristas puts up with boosts them to admirable. In short, you've got standard Starbucks, but also a team that is dealing very well with a high-traffic zone just outside of Richmond and off of 95. And some of these customers today had some mega-stupid orders along with a half dozen gift cards to shuffle through, holding up the line. The worst Starbucks in the area. They're so slow (you would think being off 95 they would have trained there employees well) EVERYTIME I come, the drive thru line is super long and takes a good 30 minutes if not more. Went there just tonight and after waiting more than 5 minutes in line (drive-thru) they told us they were closed (they told everyone in front of us that too) Mind you that when we reached the front it was 9:37 and they close at 9:30. We literally saw them thru the windows that they were just chatting and I guess waited for it to be 9:30 to tell us all they were closed. Hate this location. I feel so privileged to have such a fabulous Starbucks so close to my house. They are always so friendly and even after all the modifications I make they are still super pleasant and friendly! I am very happy that this is a drive thru location and even when the line is super long it doesn't take long to get through it. It is a stand-alone location and even has nice outdoor seating weather-permitting. Of all the locations I've visited this is my favorite location. It's not the Brand, it's this specific location. I have tried and tried and tried to give the 2nd and 3rd chances. The location is convenient for me, but the poor service and staff attitudes makes it impossible. From now on I will drive out of my way, before I can stop here again. I made my last purchase at this Starbucks today. I have always planned extra time in my trip to account for their slow service. But today was just too much. I made my order online from home and drove there. It took me about 10 minutes to get there. I went inside to pick up the drinks and it's was clearly chaos behind the counter. The staff was super nice, but after 30 minutes I received 1 of my 3 drinks. They kept telling me the others were in the queue. After 35 minutes I just told them to forget about it. They did credit my card for the remaining drinks. Other customers kept coming in and it became unsafe as it was not possible to social distance. Wonderfully nice and polite staff, but it's clear process improvements need to be made. In retrospect, I should have tolerated 20 minute waiting times in previous trips. For Starbucks coffee needs to be made quickly and accurately. read more

Okay, well... it takes me a lot to be upset about something as simple as coffee. At $8 for a cup of decent though, I'd expect it to make my eyes roll back with excitement as I sipped it. Baristas are awsome, even though their management gave them the short end of the stick. They just keep up the good service. The only bad thing i would say there is about this location is the customers. They are rude, entitled, obnoxious, and argue even when they are wrong.
