It's not as outstanding as the original 2 locations, which are over 100 years old. But it's still good at this one... Had their famous Lechero coffee. AND their canillas, which is unique to La Parroquia. Other places sell canillas. But not like these. These melt in mouth when you take a bite. They're fantastic and are the perfect match to go with the Lechero coffee.

Some locals tapped their cups, and a waiter would fill their cups with separate pours of coffee and hot milk. But they poured out of small pots, which must be more efficient at keeping the drinks hot. Perhaps since I was obviously foreign, it didn't work for me. As soon as I tapped my cup, my waiter quickly just brought me a fresh cup. Fine with me, as I was more interested in observing the classy old establishment which feels like being in a black and white film with old photos on the walls.

They had a full band and so many sercers scurrying around to serve everybody. I ordered the en enchiladas roja and a side of fruitas. They both were very filling and exquite. My friend ordered empañadas xon queso which was an even larger platter. We both got two chocolates de la francesa and thwy were vwry hot.
