Some locals tapped their cups, and a waiter would fill their cups with separate pours of coffee and hot milk. But they poured out of small pots, which must be more efficient at keeping the drinks hot. Perhaps since I was obviously foreign, it didn't work for me. As soon as I tapped my cup, my waiter quickly just brought me a fresh cup. Fine with me, as I was more interested in observing the classy old establishment which feels like being in a black and white film with old photos on the walls.
