    Modified doppio macchiato
    Andrea O.

Ok, I'm always very critical of Starbucks, the coffee is always too bitter and consistently not very good for my taste, and this location is no exception. You might ask then, why the 4*? Well the guy who took my order went above and beyond, by listening to my picky request (wanted a cortado, double shot, made with half & half), and by recommending the cheapest option to get what I wanted, always with a smile on his face. Basically as I described the cortado as a small latte in a 8oz cup almost half empty , he instead recommended a modified doppio macchiato. Then he made sure the lady who prepared the drink understood exactly what I wanted and finally I got the closest thing to what I wanted at a Starbucks. That's a 5* customer service.

Good customer service. I missed using my bday reward last year, so I called SB and they gave me an earned reward instead. The cashier didn't know and just gave me my drink for free and said I can still use my reward next time before it expires. Thanks so much! Even tho I am not a fan of the new citrus green tea latte..

This is the Starbucks I visit the most, and it always seems to be crowded. Just lately, I've been ordering exclusively using the mobile app. When I order ahead 5 minutes out, my order is waiting for me. I've never experienced a time where I had to wait for my drink after ordering ahead. When I do wait in line, it seems to take a bit longer to get everyone through. In my experience, I've only seen one cashier taking a long line's order with one or two baristas. Typically, I visit here in mornings when it's really busy. There isn't too much seating, and it feels a little cramped. Sometimes when I've visited, the pastries or cold food are low on stock. There are a few tables outside on the sidewalk.

The staff here are beyond friendly and honestly always make my morning. I love that they do a punch card after your 10th drink punch you get $6 off your order. They also do raffles sometimes, which I think is such a fun touch. Another thing I like is that they always have themed or specialty drinks. I haven't tried them yet, but I think it's fun that they get creative, especially around the holidays or different seasons. I also really recommend their breakfast burritos. The vegetarian burrito and the sausage burrito are both so good, definitely ask for hot sauce because it makes them even better. The only downside is that the line can get pretty long sometimes. I've definitely waited around 15 minutes before, so it's best if you have a little extra time. That said, once you place your order they make the drinks and heat up the food pretty quickly, which helps move things along. Overall, if you have a few extra minutes to spare, I totally recommend stopping by. It's conveniently located, the drinks are great, and the friendly service makes it worth the wait.

We were surprised at how well they packed the steak and brisket pho. The noodles and pre-cooked meat were in a bowl and the veggies were on a tray that laid on top of the bowl to keep it separate. All you had to do was pour the hot broth into the bowl and add the accompaniments. Very nice! I felt that the amount of meat was very generous and I favored the brisket over the steak (maybe because it's more fatty). I liked the portion of noodles that I was given. It might not be as much as other shops, but I don't like too much noodles. The broth was pretty mediocre. The flavor lacked a certain je nais se qois. The pork banh mi was also just OK. The meat was a little dry and chewy. And the pickled vegetables didn't seem that pickles. Maybe they were quickled? The star of the show here was the bread itself. The interior was soft and the outside had a light crispness that was delightful and I didn't feel like my mouth would get cut. The shop itself is pretty cute since they basically inherited it from the previous restaurant. And there is plenty of parking in the Crossroads Plaza. I think they opened last October so they still seem fairly new to me and have potential to be better.

85 DEGREE BAKERY @ BELLEVUE…read more Parking at this location can be a bit tricky. This 85°C Bakery is located in a large plaza that's always busy, especially since it's surrounded by popular food spots and restaurants. Because of that, the area can get pretty packed, but I was still really excited to stop by this location. As soon as you walk in, the space feels very open and spacious. I loved how big it was and how many tables they had available. Most 85°C Bakery locations feel more like a grab-and-go spot, so I appreciated that this one had plenty of seating and room to hang out. They also have touchscreen kiosks where you can order drinks and other items without needing help from a staff member. We walked around and looked at all the bakery items, and I'm always a fan of their almond croissants and protein breads. The chicken Hawaiian bun is one of my favorites, and their sausage bun is also delicious it's clearly a popular item. I also ordered their sea salt coffee. If you download the 85°C Bakery app and it's your first time using it, you get a free sea salt coffee, which was a nice bonus. While the food and drinks were great, the service was unfortunately lacking. One customer was confused about her order, and a staff member rolled her eyes at her. The same staff member also rolled her eyes at me and my family while we were in line. Overall, the staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. There wasn't much smiling or engagement, and it felt like everyone was annoyed rather than excited to help. We also noticed staff packaging food with boxes out in the open during our visit. I personally think this is something that should be done in the back or at least behind the register, rather than directly in front of customers. Overall, the experience was decent mainly because the bakery items and drinks were fresh and delicious. However, the staff could definitely be friendlier, as customer service plays a big role in the overall experience.
