I'm conflicted on this review. There are certainly a lot of positives. The space has ample seating and the windows bring in plenty of sunlight. Patio seating is ideal on a nice day. The people are AWESOME and really nice. It super-convenient to access. Grab a coffee and then do your grocery shopping at HEB! But I can't go here when I get my coffee beans ground. They can't seem to get the grind right for our coffee machine even when we're specific on what we're looking for. The other locations don't seem to have this issue. Maybe it just needs some time to workout the kinks. I get too many bags of coffee beans where this is sort of a problem. I'll still come to get regular coffees, drinks, and food. I hope the Starbucks Evenings rumors are true though. If so, then stay tuned for an updated review! read more

If you have received bad customer service by the below barista at this location SPEAK UP AND LEAVE A REVIEW! The Hispanic male barista with undercut hair and glasses is the rudest person I have ever met in customer service and needs to be removed from this location. Pretty sure his name is Yullie. In August 2018 I tasted the sweetened iced tea that was ordered through the mobile app before I left. This location isn't consistent on my orders so I taste before I leave. I asked if it was sweetened because it didn't taste sweet at all. He gave me BIG attitude, he took the top off my drink, but left it on the cup and put it up in my face. I didn't know why he did that as he didn't say anything, just held it up. I asked "what?" and he gave me a look and said with a snarky voice to "take the lid". I then took the top off and said in my defense, "Sorry, I couldn't read your mind." He gave me a snarky smile and proceeded to put sweetener in it. I apologized for getting irritated because I didn't understand the deal with the top and told him that location seemed to get my order wrong a lot. He then proceeded to tell me in a nasty tone to go to the other location down the street next time, I told him "I bet your manager would love to hear that" and he said he WAS the manager which is a lie, he is a shift leader. I left and didn't go to that location for a while even though it is near my neighborhood. September 2018 - I ordered an iced tea again with a different barista, but Yullie was there too. This time the new barista took my order and left the register to make my drink. I proceeded to pay for it via mobile app. I heard the beep as it scanned my phone, I saw the balance drop after I paid, but when the barista came back he said he rang it as credit on his end and it didn't go through. I was confused and asked how the balance would have dropped, but he couldn't tell me. This was all done in a civil manner on both parties. I continued to stand at the register so I could pay twice to get my drink. Yullie came up to the register and rudely asked if he could help me with anything. I said I wanted to pay for my drink as I was still waiting. He then told me that he wasn't serving me and I was harassing his employee. I told him that I was not harassing anyone, I was trying to pay for my drink and was willing to pay for it twice just to get out of there. Then I asked why he is rude to me every time I come in there. "You can go to the other Starbucks location." he said. I am livid that he has said this to me twice on two separate occasions. I left and went to the other location and spoke with management. They said they have had other customers come in and complain about this same guy. When explaining this to my grown son he said the same thing happened to him and they left a Yelp on him so I am doing the same thing. Yullie has no business being in customer service. I have contacted the store manager, the district manager and the manager at the other location. I will go to the regional manager or territory manager if this continues. Service is terrible. I sat in line for like half an hour for ONE VENTI PIKE. They served just about everyone behind me and I waited until the last minute before I had to go for school. I understand that these workers are understaffed, so this is really more of a fault on Starbucks the company as opposed to this specific location, but I paid for my Pike and I never got one, so I'm kind of pissed. read more

Where do I start...... The employees here are always really nice and considerate. Especially today! I didn't catch his name but the guy that served me today reminded me that I can get points for all of my purchases if I load and use the app. He was super friendly and also made my drink (double chocolaty chip frappuccino w/ no whip.) Now every Starbucks makes it a bit differently..... (sometimes they have too much milk, too much chocolate, or not enough ice/ too much ice) He made the best double chocolaty frappuccino that I've had in over a year, if not the best one I've ever had. The ratio of the ingredients were perfect and absolutely delicious. I don't ever leave reviews but this guy deserves it. 5 +++ stars for him. If y'all want a yummy drink go here! read more

There's always plenty of seating here (especially at night), and tons of outlets! Great place to do some work, and it's usually not as cold as other Starbucks locations. Very spacious, high ceilings, great location. The only con would be the walls are all glass windows so it lets in the sun very easily, but you can just pull down the shades. read more

I don't know why the marketing department would name a drink "triple mocha" if they didn't want their employees and customers to get confused about I'd they want the cold frap or a hot triple shot of coffee. I was interested in trying the poorly named frap and the barista mistook my order as the hot super caffeinated coffee. I questioned why a tall frap would be $6 and she told me it was so I just paid and hoped for the best. It was too big and hot for me to take so she offered to make the frap and give me a refund but by the time we figured out the confusion there was 10 orders I had to wait to get maid. A few years ago, I gave this location a one star because of the staff they had at the time. Over the years, this location has slowly gotten better. Their new staff are so friendly! I always feel welcome now. A special shoutout to Tina!! Her and I have endless conversations and it's so sweet. I'm so happy this location has changed for the better!! read more

It's Starbucks. Cool location with plenty of outlets. The service could be friendlier, but I usually just grab my drink and go.

I came by for a coffee yesterday morning and was greeted by the biggest smiles behind the counter. I was helped out quickly even though there was a huge line. Clinton is the sweetest man, and Uly just made my day. He slid my drink out steaming hot with foam leaf perfection and said "Thank you, enjoy the rest of your day!" He was very patient and polite even though there were some uptight, impatient customers complaining about one thing or another. I sat down in the lobby to check some emails and Uly was out there a few minutes later making sure all the customers were having a good time and satisfied. Grouchy manager (morning crew, tall, heavyset, glasses, grayness)...customers continue doing business at the convenient location but there's gnats by the food and filthy restrooms.. I agree that restrooms in your restaurant provide the public a window into the overall management and cleanliness of your establishment...dude seems preoccupied, stressed, tired and lazy...baristas should be concerned at this location. read more

Not a very cozy Starbucks but not many are truly user friendly. It's simply laid out wrong and seemed to be in a space larger than necessary. My other issue is that I could not understand the woman taking my order very well. I'm very happy that someone from another country could find employment here but why not give her another job until she masters the language. This is not meant to be rude at all. I just want to make sure she understood my order, can make correct change and, what she said back to me was "Okay." What I got was correct, iced coffee with cream, but a larger size than I ordered. They pretty consistently mess up our orders. For the second time, they put too much sugar in a diabetic persons drink. When I called the manager, he seemed pretty uncaring. He wouldn't offer a credit card refund over the phone and insisted on a free drink. read more

I'm here from out of town with my cousin. We got completely rude service from the barista "Duanna". She seemed annoyed to take our order and we caught her rolling her eyes at another customer. If you haven't noticed by my profile and reviews, I love Starbucks - and frequent them, however, this location is just plain bad. I am only giving it three stars because 1. I love SB and 2. I did complain about this location to Starbucks' Twitter account and they responded very promptly and were genuinely concerned about my issue - otherwise I would only give it a two. This location is less than a mile from our apartment and we walk here usually once on the weekends for a morning coffee. It takes forever! We like walking to this location as oppose to the one on 51st since it has better outdoor seating, but that's the only reason. There is never enough staff and the wait for a drink is really unacceptable. During one visit there was literally one person working - he would take the drink orders and have to make the drinks himself. It took my husband and I nearly 20 minutes to get two iced teas. This place does have a private parking lot, but it is nearly impossible to get a spot here. read more

A line of people at the counter, a line of people waiting on drinks, and there is literally one person trying to fill every station at once. Bless her heart she's doing a fabulous job, but why would you do that to someone? The first time I went, I ordered a white chocolate mocha and it was terrible! I should've tasted it before I left, but was out of the parking by the time I realized it was no good. It tasted like water and syrup mixed together. On another occasion, the guy didn't know how to redeem my reward and said I had used, which I clearly didn't. Then, he said drink was on him and I ordered an iced green tea latte. After 10 min, he gave me my drink and it was HOT! I won't be going there for a while :-/ ! read more

I've never been treated rudely at a Starbuck's until just now. I ordered a tall Shaken Sweet Tea, but the barista tried to give me some sort of green tea drink. When I told her what I had ordered and pointed it out on the menu, she said they discontinued it, and she condescendingly said they put "a pound of sugar in it". Very rude, as if she knows what's best for me! I was able to get a plain black iced tea from her, which isn't at all what I wanted. They shouldn't have taken my money for a menu item if they weren't able to make it for me. When I suggested they erase it from the menuboard if they no longer make it, I was dismissed with a weary "we'll do what we can, ma'am". This has become what I tend to call, "My office away from my future office" where I come to unwind, relax, gather thoughts while working on current task electronically. find myself coming to this location at least twice a week IF NOT MORE. The location and view is Niiiice but what I've come to clearly overlook and OR Not accept is the continous poor quality, disinterested oppose to the positve, welcoming, interested customer service being offered, moreso today whereas the Batista "Kashif" I believe is his name (assisting me today) was displaying extreme disinterested customer service towards me and my order as he's contiously tends to do whenever I inquire, about new menu orders. Today they were/are are out of their creme base (which I wasn't aware of) as I ordered my choice of drink he informs me he's unable to make it not actually stating why, me being me ask, "why"?, he then tells me, "they're out of creme base", I then NOT KNOWING what each drink is made with I request another then another... Me and my boyfriend went in thinking it would be like any other Starbucks trip before we went grocery shopping. We were having a weekend getaway from our home in San Antonio & found this location within walking distance of the heb. The drinks were fine and it was nearly empty, however on our drive home the following day I'm looking at all our receipts and calculating our getaway and noticed that the barista working charged us for a pound of Guatemala coffee grounds versus the 2 Chai Tea Lattes we ordered. I got in touch with the manager and they said they would send me 2 free drinks (I was assuming coupons) and I gave him my address as we exchanged a few emails. It's now been well over a while as our weekend getaway was the same weekend Harvey hit and have yet to be reimbursed or receive those "free drinks." To some it's no big deal but for some like me this is wrong and no explanation about why she charged me incorrectly has been said. Very disappointed with the way Starbucks and they're management is running this location, heaven knows what else they are getting away with. read more
