The only Starbucks in town! Located inside the Albertson's. This little shop is a tiny taste of Washington in Alamogordo Ambiance: Not a complete shop more of a small standup. But they do have some tables to enjoy our drink. Usually at a Starbucks you are greeted warmly by the addicting smell of brewing coffee this place has only a faint smell of it. Service: Was below average. Alot of the "regular" drinks at larger more populated areas are unavailable. Also the food selection is limited as well. Be aware that they don't take the Starbucks app. So it's a bit harder to reach that Gold Card. If you do want to get points you have to have the actual card. Hurting those for out of state or just forgot it. The cashier tried her best to explain the need for updating their system. They are pretty fast once your done ordering and took about 2 minutes to make my drink. Drinks: Standard Starbucks taste. Decent taste and wasnt over brewed. It did taste a bit watered down. Maybe a bit too much ice? This place is like your go to song you know what your going to get with no suprises. But strangely I was suprises by how different this branch was. Needs a bit of that corporate renovation to bring this place up to speed. Overall if your going grocery shopping and need a little caffeine fix head to this spot. I'd Give this location a zero if I could but a 1 is the lowest. Why? When this location first opened they were on their game. Enthusiastic staff, moving at a pace this town has never moved. Everything was stocked and gtg. But, it's Alamogordo and I told the wife give it 6mo and it will fall into the same as all places here, a failure. And no surprise it has. How? 99.9% of the time when we go they are out of if not most but all sandwiches, snacks like banana nut bread etc. The response is we were just so busy this morning. BS! You cannot properly stock nor plan. That's never been an excuse at any other location and I've been to Starbucks around the world. Whoever is in charge of ordering cannot proper project properly and I'm guessing your fancy computers should be doing that for you anyways. So Starbucks corporate, I hope you see this and fix it. You'll only survive bc your the only game in town and the name is the attraction. If you were a normal no name brand coffee shop you'd be out of business in 6mo. I went to buy two hot caffe lates but I was told that they didn't have any kind of milk .

These people are terrible at their job I got 2 drinks, on happy hour and they couldn't get the price at the checkstand right for like 10 mins and once I got my drinks I saw one was wrong and I asked them to fix it, in which one of the workers made a snobby remark saying that my request on my drink was dumb. After they remade it I got home and realized the other drink was made wrong so I went back to get it fixed in which they did and she said sorry and gave me the drink fixed and a free drink on top for which I was grateful, but when I realized they didn't even make the free drink right i went back in and told her she made it wrong and she said she didn't at that point I was just done. This place is an absolute joke. 3 drinks made 3 made wrong only get 2 stars because they tried to give me a free drink. And I never got the last drink fixed because going in there 4 times is a joke. read more

Yes I got a dollar off, but the it took way too long..... This Starbucks has outstanding service. We grabbed coffee here two days in a row while on vacation. All the baristas were super friendly and brightened our morning. Fast service and clean location. For being located in an Albertsons they actually have comfy chairs and a lounge area and it doesn't feel like your in the middle of a grocery store. Only downside is they don't have a scanner for the Starbucks app. read more

After a long week of work, my wife and I decided to come to Starbucks to have a nice hot chocolate. My wife ordered a peppermint hot chocolate, and when the barista called out the order she said "hot chocolate". I politely stated it was supposed to be a peppermint, and she proceeded to take the drink back and state, "I guess I'll squirt some peppermint in" then rolled her eyes. I've been to lots of Starbucks, in different states, and this is probably the worst. Only once have I gotten really good coffee, plus service is poor. Example: I bought a Starbucks commuter cup and went to fill it. Asked that it be cleaned since it was brand new. This was apparenty too complicated. "You want it washed?". Yes. "And a tall coffee in it?" Yes. Took a while, but OK, I'll wait. When I get it back the lid is missing. Can't find it. I had to tell them it was in the sink. Then the coffee was old, lukewarm. I asked for fresh, finally got it, sort of, out of another container. Way too much hassle. read more

9 out of 10 times I've been there they out of something, and I don't mean a tall skinny chai tea latte with an extra shot or some other complex drink, I mean things like coffee, creamer...manners. Yesterday I ordered a venti brewed coffee with room for cream. They said they were out and only had the dark roast. Fine, I'll live. There was no creamer out so I asked if they had any creamer behind the counter. The barista (attitude from hell) looked and said she only had vanilla sweet cream. I said, no half and half? She said (with a huff) I have to go all the way to the other side of the store to get some so no. This is but 1 example, and is reflective of a typical visit there. The service, professionalism, and qulaity has steadily declined since the opening, but the excuses and mouthy service seen elsewhere in Alamogordo has continued to rise. Why am I surprised? It's a corporate sign and a corporate image being operated by the same people who brought you the thrill of going to Walmart, or as I call it death's waiting room. Bad form, Starbuck's.
