Megan in the copy center is awesome. She helped me immensely when I needed some copy work done. She went above and beyond and even had the work folded and trimmed without me asking. I've bought a few things from here like a white board which was fine. The issues came from using their copy/printing self service machines. I spent a few hours trying to print 75 sheets of paper for a small business. If you want to print on normal paper i don't think this would be an issue but we wanted to use slightly thicker paper which turned into a "custom" job. The machine could only take 20 customer papers at a time. I had 75 to print so i figured it would take me less than an hour. The machines kept having issues and literally made me call a help desk person every 10 minutes. Each time it would reset the transaction and make me re-swipe my cc. To the point where my credit card company blocked the card because chase thought these were fraudulent cards. The machine made me restart the process and create a new transaction about 10 times. Each time was approximately 5 minutes to print 10 sheets. The service person was a young uninterested teenager who told me there was nothing he can do. After speaking with the CC company to unblock my card and being completely frustrated. I called the manager. All he said was sorry and that it was the xerox machine's fault. They did nothing to override the machine or to give us credit for our time and frustration. Each print was 63 cents per side or 1.26 per page. Which is extremely pricey per print. If you are running a small business I would absolutely NOT recommend using staples for anything. We were in a rush and needed same day service but this experience. We not exclusively print online. In total I spent 2-3 hours printing 75 sheets. Not worth it for a small business. A print job should only take 10 mins. read more

Coming here just to pick up the item, they explained to me everything about the item I picked up and how to assemble it. I had been searching Roseville for a webcam for at least a week before I finally decided to try Staples. No luck. I was again disappointed to find yet another store sold completely out of web cams. But this time was different. My guardian angel, Kristen was looking out for me. Upon seeing my disappointment, she immediately went to the back of the store to see if there were any that hadn't been unboxed. When she returned to me empty-handed, I was devastated. Yet another cruel joke from 2020. My tragic story should have ended there. But for Kristen. Once again going above and beyond the call of her red-shirted duty, Kristen took my name and phone number with a promise to immediately call if she happened upon the ever-elusive webcam. Days passed. I am ashamed to admit, I had given up hope. Oh ye of little faith. As I spent yet another Saturday home alone, wallowing in self-pity, the sound of a phone call woke me from my depressive state. From the moment that first syllable left her lips, I knew it was Kristen with the news that only she could bring. A webcam. Available. At the front counter. For. Me. As I walked through those magnificent doors, who should I see, but Kristen, illuminated in a glorious fluorescent halo. My advocate, benefactress, and one day I hope, friend. Our paths crossed immediately, almost as if by providence. Not only did she promptly ring up my purchase, but she also worked her coupon magic to help me stay within my budget. I am a teacher, and by delivering me from my state of webcamlessness, Kristen has not only saved me, but she has also impacted the lives of countless children and future generations. I went by Staples to buy an office chair and during my visit I noticed that 4 people not wearing masks despite current regulations. I spoke with the manager and he told me that he would not enforce the rule. He would provide a mask if someone wanted one, but customers were free to violate the law in Staples. I will no longer do business with a company that is so afraid of loosing a single customer that they are not willing to enforce the current rules for all businesses in CA. Staples is our go to for school and office supllies! We love Staples as a company. But the manager, Chris, from this store is a Liar! Manager really?! He was professional and calm but yet still a liar and didn't apologize for it. I take it back. Not professional! I took my mom to buy an HP Laptop thinking we can get a deal with a $100 instant off(coupon code) and $100 trade-in (traded in my moms old laptop). He took the $100 instant and said that the $100 trade-in would come as a Visa Gift Card and would ship directly to the house. After leaving, I noticed that we didn't get the original receipt for whatever reason. It was a duplicate. Examined the receipt and no where does it say a laptop was traded in. So we drove back with the new laptop and told him that how are we suppose to receive a Visa Gift Card if it doesn't say on the receipt that theres a trade-in. He said that he just honored the $100(coupon code) because he couldn't find it in his system and not the trade-in but still took my moms old laptop. Then why say the Visa Gift Card will be shipped to the house, knowing that it wouldn't. Didn't apologize for lying. Something sketchy about this manager, Chris. So we ended up returning the laptop and again getting a duplicate receipt. I will never come to this store again! I'll either shop at other staples stores or online. read more

The store offered 250 business cards for *9.99. I went online and designed my card. It was available for pick up the next day. The service, from the sales gal that told me about it, to the young man that fulfilled the order, I was very impressed. It was very easy. The cards are beautiful, and they were ready ahead of time. Went in looking for a certain type of binder and couldn't find it so then I decided to ask someone, there were 3 workers inside the printing department and they all said that anything they have would be on the binder wall, that's all they did to help, no one walked out and over to walk with me to double check or help me out, so rude and poor customer service. read more

Horrible customer service and lack of leadership. We've been here multiple times and never are greeted or helped on the floor. This time was no different and after figuring out what I needed, standing in line for 10 minutes was told I need to go online because they don't have the item (display box only). In the meantime 6 different customers were behind me, one being an elderly woman asking for assistance on the floor and the teenage punk behind the counter could care less. He even blew the elderly woman off saying there's only two employees (both at checkout). We expressed our frustration with the manager that did not care at all and in no way, shape or form should hold that title. We left and called the customer service line and after 20 minutes of the staples employee repeating my contact information to me I cut to the chase and provided her my feedback. Unfortunately she could care less as well and most likely will not forward this information on to the executive leadership where they definitely should know the issues and correct them. I purchased a printer and spent two weeks on the phone with asurion trying to trouble shoot, what a pain. I decided to return the annoying printer and was met with difficulty from asurion and canon and one of the staples employees. Then after 1/2 hour on hold with canon another staples employee approaches me and I tell him the whole frustrating story, he is immediately reassuring and helpful. In a very short time he solves my problems and I am on my way home with a new printer, an epson, one that is better suited to my needs and is working perfectly I am happy say! Thanks Manpreet! This past week is the very last time we'll walk into a Staples store and from the lack of consumers inside, it looks like I'm not alone. 6 months ago I made the exact purchase I went in for the other day only they wanted to charge me $40 more this time. I had my receipt from last time with me. That didn't seem to matter. The manager decided it must have been a mistake. Somehow I think a decent manager would have maybe suggested splitting the difference with me since I had proof from the time before. But it was obvious he didn't care. Have only positive comments - both general and specific. The store always is clean - personnel helpful beyond merely pointing you to the requested aisle - prices appear competitive - invariably have what I need for my home office. Went in early this morning needing a "backup" keyboard after spilling coffee on my specialty keyboard which I order online only but no keyboard no order. Sales guy knew the products off the top of his head so didn't waste time searching. Found what I needed on sale. Set up keyboard - oh no - didn't work. Tried fixes I could think of but no joy. Called the store - tech support answered and suggested different possible fixes but if that didn't work - return the keyboard - he'll open another one - hook it up to make sure it works. I purchased a printer cart there, but it came without any instructions for assembly. I called the store to see if I could get the instructions, because I didn't have a way to return the item (no transportation). I spoke with two people (one was a manager) who were less than helpful. They refused to try to get the instructions to me (scan/email) read them...?! something./anything! They were really horrible and rude to me. Like this was my fault! Will not purchase from here again. I ordered two gift cards on line for graduation gifts on May 20 2012. One was sent to the right person, but with no mention of me as the origin of the gift. The other still has not been sent, missing the delivery dates promised, of May 31, and "sorry we missed it, but will deliver by June 7." Now this gift card is supposed to be addressed to me, but delivered to the gift recipient's home address, not my address. I am now told that it will be delivered by June 15. Staples has grossly mishandled these orders, even with multiple phone calls to try to straighten it out. The customer service reps have consistently been courteous, but the systems they work with are apparently so bad that I am still very dissatisfied! I have done loads of business over the years with Staples and never had such problems before now. Staples customer service sent me a $35 consolation coupon to try to placate me for these problems. The coupon has no exclusions printed it. I went into the local store to look for something, and chose a gift card and another item. The clerk and the manager both said that it can not be applied to purchase of a gift card, even though no exclusions are described on the coupon or the accompanying letter. They (politely) refused to allow me to use this to purchase a gift card. I have done a lot of business with Staples over the years, with satisfactory results. However, they messed up SO BADLY on the gift card orders that I have lost confidence in their ordering system. They said that a different vendor fills the gift card orders. However, if they do not have a reliable system interface with the other vendor, they should NOT be offering gift card purchases on line. It only makes Staples look bad. I have made at least 4 phone calls and spoken with at least 8 people to sort this out. Staples has lost me as a customer. It is not specifically regarding this local Staples store, but mostly due to the experience related to the online gift card orders. read more

Welp.. Must say I've been let down by staples. I went to the one in Lincoln to have some pictures laminated and they said they wouldn't do it because the laminate would bubble. I actually had a customer who had heard the whole conversation, come up to me later while I was in the store to tell me I could copy them then laminate the copies. Why didn't the employee suggest that?? Guess they just don't care about the business. I came to this one and they did it.. But told me it would change the color of the pictures. I told them I didn't care and to just do it. Pictures came out fine and are now laminated like I wanted. Just went back again today to have something else laminated and the employee who was sitting there told me she would have it done in an hour. What??? Needless to say... No one came to offer any help at all. We made our selection and asked a near by associate for help because we were ready to buy. She says she can't help us but she can check to see if it's in stock. So she scans the bar code and says "oh it says we have -1 in stock, but that doesn't mean anything". So.....?? She tells us to wait for this lady (long grey hair, appeared to be the manager) in the "tech drop off area" or something because she's the only one who can help us. She was helping an elderly couple check in their laptop for repair. We waited about 15 minutes with no acknowledgment from this lady. We decided to walk down to Costco to check out their selection and then come back. We do that and she still wasn't done, although there was now also a male employee helping her as well. We were waiting right there looking at them. Still not a word said to us. We thought maybe she could run and check if it was in stock since there were now two employees helping the elderly couple, but no. She stood there and watched the male employee finish paperwork. We continued to wait. At this point it was damn near 30 minutes we had been waiting. We left and will be ordering online. What a wast of time! The worst experience ever! dont go near that store... I walk in to buy a laptop Wednesday september 28th, I saw the one that I wanted and after all considerations, as expected, this places have laptops on display but they DONT have the actual computer on inventory, so I told the guy, well I really need this for this weekend because my kid its going away to collage next Sunday, I will buy it somewhere else, the guy told me NO PROBLEM we can have it shipped and here by Friday! and FREE!... bad bad bad choice! I went to review my order and I found out that it was shipped from Ontario, TODAY, and expected delivered by next tuesday October the 4th.... so I called the store manager and talked to him... he just said.. weellll.. mmmmm... eehhhhh... sorry, theres nothing I can do, but we can refund your money if you want...... WHAT!!??? this guy has ZERO customer service knowledge at all! zero, none, ... I told him but WHY one of you assosiets told me that it was going to be here by Friday? just to make a sale? he said well, I dont know..... long story short my worst experience ever, I dont go to staples often, I gave them a change, WONT ever go there again... this company really sucks... read more

As a business owner, this is an ideal place to get business supplies. Printing is actually pricy here. Kinkos is a dime more for colored and b&w. I ended up going to a smaller printing company for half the price here. My $35 order would have been at least $70 here. BUT (and this is a very big BUTT!), that's the prices set by the corporation, not this specific locations fault. Ordered a few business cards last minute and got them the same day. Just ordered new cards again today, same day pick up, and placed my order at 5am. Was emailed to pick them up in 4 hours. Came by at 3pm (10 hrs later) and they were not ready. Was told they would call me in an hour when it's finally ready. Never got the call. Looking forward to receiving that call tomorrow morning I assume. Hopefully there was a valid reason for this incident. If there was, and a sincere apology, I will bump this review up one star (to 4 stars). I'm not a heatless person. Sometimes "crap" happens. Fingers crossed. UPDATED 10/28/14 Got the call that my business card were ready the following morning. No apology. No reason for delay. Long line at the printing center to pick up and pay for my order. No more buying products here. read more

These people will go above and beyond! I returned my crate (on 12/12/2011), which had broken at one of the handles (I was told when I bought it that it had a one-year warranty as "office equipment"), and at first the office supply person told me it's a 30-day in-store warranty and that there was a phone number that I should call to get a replacement (I had it for a little over 10 months). After giving me the phone number (1-800-333-3330), they actually replaced the crate on the spot, for free, with no hassle or questions other than the date I had purchased it. Now THAT'S customer service! Staples (at least this location) has earned my loyalty as a customer and I will use Staples first for (and because of) their excellent customer service. read more

I recently bought a desk and it came packaged without assembly instructions. I tried calling the store directly four times with no answer. I had to call the staples help line twice to wait 30 minutes to get connected to the store and the person who answered at the store was rude and had an attitude because he said they were busy. If you don't want to be bothered while the store is busy then at least do the bare minimum of making sure your products are packaged correctly. I was told I'd get the instructions emailed to me no sooner than an hour because they're busy. Bad customer service. read more

I ordered a banner online. It was to come in 7 business days. Less than 48 hours before I needed it. It was lost in the mail! The rep for the on-line order was able to call the local Roseville staples and get them to make the banner for me within 24 hours! On top of that the on-line banner was about $50 and the 24 hour one was $85. They credited me the $50 AND gave me the 24 hour banner for FREE. That's great customer service!!!
