I had a very disappointing experience as a new patient with Dr. Bieser's office…read more At my first appointment, instead of being seen by Dr. Bieser, I was sent to a PA, even though the doctor was in the office. The consult with the PA showed very little patient care, and afterward I had to wait 10 days just for an MRI order. When I followed up, the staff tried to blame the delay on insurance--which was not true. That same day, once I pushed back, I suddenly received the call to schedule my MRI. When I returned for my follow-up to review the MRI, I waited over 1.5 hours. Eventually, the technician came out and told me that Dr. Bieser was in trauma. I understand emergencies happen, but I had scheduled specifically to see the doctor. Nobody called ahead to ask if I was willing to see a PA instead, and when I asked how much longer I would have to wait, staff couldn't give me an answer. To make matters worse, one staff member asked for a translator for me, assuming I didn't understand English because of my Spanish last name. I speak and understand English perfectly well. This was embarrassing, disrespectful, and felt like racial profiling. I left without being seen, after months of waiting for this appointment and missing work. Later, I did receive calls from Dr. Bieser and a supervisor with apologies, which I accepted, but that did not erase the frustration, disrespect, and embarrassment I experienced. Overall, I did not feel valued or respected as a patient, and I cannot recommend this office.

He showed me what the knee replacement looked like. Everyone in the office was nice. His triage nurse Jennifer was very nice. She always returned my calls and answered all my questions. Everyone in the PT department was professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Cannady.

I waited and waited but I received no contact. I called South Florida Orthopedics multiple times and each time I left detailed voicemail messages. No one bothered to call me back or submit the requested order for physical therapy. I logged onto their patient portal and wrote them three messages. Again I requested that I be contacted. Nothing! My appointment with Dr. Cannady was a complete waste of time, effort and money.

Then Dr Emerson came in and went over the X-rays in more detail. He had my husband do a few thing. It was determined he needed to get an MRI. He gave us two options: go to the ER and get admitted or wait for the MRI appointment. We chose to wait. Dr Emerson was very patient and thorough.

These people spend a lot of money to get me and others to use their business and then treat you with total disrespect when you do.

My husband and I did NOT find this to be true during our many visits with him. My husband got hurt on the job and this is where Worker's Comp sent him. He had to have a severely torn miniscus repaired and Dr. Hruska did an excellent job, explained the photographs he took during surgery, and we were well informed of the post-surgical requirements. We found him to be professional and very pleasant with us on four separate visits (including outpatient surgery). The only complaint is that we traveled down to Stuart twice and the PSL office was so much closer to us (had we known about it). The last visit we waited and hour and a half to get in as the PSL office is not staffed as well as the Stuart location. That is the only complaint I have was that long wait. The knee has healed very nicely & hubby is strong & back to work!
