I could not believe the level of rudeness the employees have at this store! I was barely acknowledged at all and when I was it was a yes no situation. The eye doctor was amazing but the other employees not so much. When I came back to pick up my glasses the same rude employee hands me the boxes with no comment. I open the boxes to find my glasses needed repair. Thinking I was going to be fitted I waited until finally I had to speak to and ask was I going to be helped or not! I made a review 4 years ago. And today I'm sad to say that I was disappointed with my service today. When I made my appointment over the phone. Covid 19 guidelines where not stated. Please add that wearing a mask is required to enter your establishment. I carried mine. But many people there were upset they were missing their appointments. Not a good vibe to start your appointment off with. Was told the DR was running late. Staff was about 20 minutes late. My eye appointment was done with a dr via video chat (why was she late?). what I didn't like was that my DR isn't the one giving me my results. Nor a nurse. It's the sales staff. unfortunately they are not able to handle wearing all these hats and be empathetic to your needs. They told customers that eye exams were only 15 minutes. But mine took 1.5 hrs total to check out. Just be honest. We know you're not superman. They have no one working in the lab. So they are telling people its 3 weeks for the prescription. I know the staff that's working the store is doing the best they can during this time. but it was not a good vibe at all. read more

Aside from the awkward entrance (looks like easy access right on the corner of a major intersection, but it's not, and at night we had trouble finding the front door!), the lighting is very poor inside. They have a large selection of frames but when I used the restroom, it was so messy and dirty that I no longer wished to do business there and left. Worst customer service ever! Will never go back. Will tell everybody I know NOT to go there!! All staff were rude, didn't want to listen and just wanted to move it in.. move it out. Refractionist was incompetent, I had no faith in her assessment. Optician was rude, hurried, and tried to "sell me up". As soon as I told her no, she took my money, gave me j no o instructions about what to do next. Drove 45 minutes to pick up glasses only to told that only one pair was ready. Where to begin... I had one of the best experiences at a glasses shop in a long time. I've been wearing glasses for 20+ years and now my kiddos do so I've been to a lot of doctors and shops. Walked into my appointment at 9 A.M. saturday morning and was greeted right away by Kristine O. She informed me of the deals that were going on and eye doctor know we had arrived. The check up was quick, my two kiddos had picked their glasses while the other was having the exam, check out was a breeze as well. 10/27/18 My first visit here, I got a free eye exam included with my two pairs of glasses that I got for just $80! My friend who is an employee was kind of enough to helped me choose the perfect glasses and lenses for me as I had a top 5 or top 10. The sign in was instant, I was greeted at the door, I waited 5-10 minutes and did my pre-check up eye exam. The machine that blows eye into your eye isn't as pressured as other stores, you can hardly feel it which is great! I was seen shortly afterwards and I was out of my eye exam within 10-20 minutes (I had many questions) which Dr. White was happy to answer. My first pair of glasses was done in the store in roughly 20 minutes and the lady didn't make me pay just yet until they were the perfect and comfortable fit. The second pair took a week because I added on something (dims your glasses when you see the sun and makes it act as sunglasses). I didn't have any issues! I got a free glasses cleaner kit and with a case for each pair. I did pay out of pocket for this but it's covered by their warranty. Good news, my vision for better by a little bit but that's something (despite prior heavy use of gaming and anime). 6/3/19 Came in for contact lenses exam, was greeted once again by a female employee who checked me in. She asked if I had insurance which I'm glad she did (because I didn't know if my insurance would cover this) but I was able to save $220/300. I just paid $78 instead of $89 for contact lenses exam and my daily contacts were all covered for and they should be done next week. I did my pre-check up exam and it went well. Dr. White saw me within 10 minutes and I was done within a few minutes, good news is both eyes have the same power level or something like that (-3.0 and -3.0). I washed my time and I was given all the time I needed to put on contacts and successfully did it after 10 minutes or so. He checked my eyes once again and said I'm all set and handed me a 2 pack of 5 daily contacts along with the trail 2 week "trainer" contact lenses. The 2 week is a bit thicker so he said it would be easier to train on these before moving into the thinner daily contacts. My day has been filled with nothing but joy and happiness, I couldn't stop smiling. It feels like I've been free from my cage and I can finally fly free. Tough mudder this weekend will definitely be better with contacts and other occasions such as six flags, swimming, running, working, and many more! read more

Terrible experience here. Avoid this place and go elsewhere! Went here solely to speak with the doctor rather than have an eye exam and was told I had to make an appt in the future since the doctor is only in the office once per month. That is just what I did and went to my appt with the doctor today. I was spoken to by the doctor at the front desk as he proceeded to ask why I wanted to talk to him in front of other patients asking personal questions, etc. I asked to go somewhere more private to which he took me into what looked like a closet (insert eye roll). I explained my concerns and he told me to have an eye exam conducted to which I did. He went about his normal eye exam procedures placing the different lenses in front of my eyes and hitting my face with the machine in the meantime- two separate times. I wasn't there for a new prescription. I was there to speak about my issues with ocular migraines. His only suggestion was to have less stress in my life and continued to scold me about how blindness is caused by high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes- none of which I, personally, am at risk for. Then he scolded me for not seeing an optometrist in several years- I don't have issues seeing or reading with my current prescription, so really i didn't see a need to go, but nonetheless, he did not need to speak with me that way. To put it frankly, I don't think this guy is a "true" doctor and rather just goes about his routine doing these basic eye exams. Don't expect the doctors here to have much knowledge. After the eye exam, the clerk gave me my results and advised me of their deals on frames. I figured since I didn't get my questions answered regarding migraines, I may as well not waste my entire trip and get a new set of reading glasses as an extra set (I might add, my current pair work just fine, but this way I could have a pair at home and work). I selected my two frames based on their "deal." At the check out I was greeted by another clerk who was merely a "car sales woman." She broke down the cost all the while adding warranty fees and other "add ones" that were not required to purchase- these were just an up sell. When I asked her to remove them, she asked why- ummmmm, I don't need a reason- how about I just don't want to pay extra for something I don't need??? She also told me due to my astigmatism i needed to have far-sighted glasses for driving. I told her i did not need them as I have been driving fine with zero collisions or tickets in the over 25 years I have been driving. After she broke down all the costs, I asked why the price was higher than the advertised price and she explained because the buy one get one deal only applied to glasses purchased without insurance. Not sure where the asterisk was on any of the signs, but I didn't see any, nor did I see any fine print regarding that. My temper was growing short, but I was trying to maintain my composure and just proceed with the purchase by selecting only one pair of glasses rather than two because the deal I believed I was getting was no longer the case. The clerk then placed a device up toward my face to measure the space between my eyes as I backed away looking at the nose pieces that were caked in women's foundation makeup. I said it was filthy and I didn't want to put my face on it. My standards aren't THAT high, but come on- there are a lot of nasty things you can contract through the eyes and this thing was disgusting. At that point, I had had enough and told her I would not be purchasing any frames and would like to just pay my $15 co-pay for the eye exam and leave. She gave me a disgusted look and took over 10 minutes to process my payment. While waiting in line to pay, another customer rolled her eyes at me in agreement with how this store was being run. She stated their customer service and product has gone way downhill since the pandemic and that she, too, would not be returning. This place is ghetto to say the least. I should have known by the outside appearance of the building itself (Madison and San Juan location). It hasn't been landscaped in who knows how long and the paint is faded and peeling. I will not be returning here and I hope this review helps you decide whether or not you want to waste your time and money going here. I came here 4 years ago with my now ex, and it was wonderful. I came this month for myself and now I regret it. Staff was awesome, dont get me wrong. Appointment times are useless. It takes an hour or so to even get to you. They screwed up my prescription with the exam, and I'll explain how I know next. The contacts I ended up getting dont work right and I tried for almost 2 weeks. My glasses i got today and I cant even try to adjust. Promptly after putting them on to get used to them i developed a headache that wants to be a migraine and almost threw up. Im still extremely nauseous. I recently stopped at Stanton Optical to check out new glasses. I was greeted by Kristine. She was extremely helpful and got me an estimate for 3 pairs of glasses. I was very hesitant to purchase since my previous prescription had changed in less than 13 months. Kristine told me that if my script changed before 2 years that they would give me 80% off my new glasses. I didn't have time to complete the purchase and told her I would probably be back by the weekend. I was impressed with Kristine's knowledge and helpfulness. Plenty of parking. That was nice. The employees are nice but seem like they 1. aren't 100% sure of what they were doing and 2. just don't have that professional sparkle. They were really nice though. The doctor was kind of blunt but polite and nice. He was quick and efficient. Things go quickly. We didn't have to wait long to be seen and the lady who took care of us was SOOO patient. I really was pleased about that. We didn't understand the different options very well and my restrictions, and she was terribly patient while we figured it out. I ended up getting an eye exam with a dilation, and two pairs of glasses, for only $115. It was more than the $59 dollar deal because I had special requirements. Then, after we figured out everything, it only took 15 minutes to get the glasses. I was so surprised. I am VERY delighted with my glasses. I Did show up to my 9AM appointment! Lol and I was on time and Stanton optical has the nerve to send me this email!!! This is hilarious! The store manager Cecilia has no idea what she's doing. Her skills as a manager are zero. I walked in this morning at 9am for my 9am appointment on time. I told her I was there for my 9am appointment and her response was with a laugh, "Oh they tell everyone that their appointment is at 9!" She said, Have a seat, I'm the only one here so you'll have to wait until someone comes in at 10." I asked her if she can hold my chosen frames so I can come back and that way I can just pay for them since she couldn't do that for me either apparently. Save your money and dont waste your time here. We walked in and they told us that they can take us in as a "walk-in". They put me in the system and even started to do a portion of the exam. I mentioned to the assistant that I had previously gone to Walmart and they got my prescription wrong. After the first part is done i sit back down Chris the sales manager comes up and says that they cant do walkins today. When i told him that the young lady just called my name and had me get started he sarcastically smiled and said "well ill have to talk to her". he then told me that i shouldnt do my prescription here and that i need to go to walmart so they can do it for free. I told him that i did not like walmart and that i would be happy to pay for an exam. he kept on insisting for me to go to walmart! i couldnt believe it!! he then asks me if i am going to buy frames as well. when i told him no, i already have my own frame, he goes to talk to the doctor. he comes back out of the office and tells me that the doctors schedule is booked...i was shocked These people are a joke! all they care about is making money off of you. they dont care about your wellbeing.
