I've had such bad service here. The exam was maybe 5 minutes but I guess that's ok. After that the person helping me was nice and helped me pick out glasses and help replace my sunglasses lenses. After that service has been horrible. They never let me know my glasses were available or later that my lenses for my sunglasses were ready. I had to call each time. For my sunglasses lenses I called twice and was told they would put me on hold and check. Each time I was on hold over 15 minutes and then hung up on. I called a few days later and got transferred to the call center who then transferred me to the store and promised to take care of me. The call was dropped on the transfer. Finally I was told to come in and the lens replacement would take 15 minutes. Nope the manager was going on lunch and no one else could help so had to take another trip out they. It was busy but the staff took care of everyone with ease and they were so professional and kind. Very friendly staff! I am not giving this piece of shit place a rate or rather lower than the lower review. I came here for an eye exam on May 3, 2024. This place needs to be shut down. Store manager is so rude rolling her eyeballs when asked to speak to customers. Very disgusting attitude instead of pulling out the fire with an upset customer she nags and add more and more frustration to customer. They are a bunch of scam I paid in full almost 800.00 for a contact lenses and doesn't even fit, gave me headaches. Re-Cge led done 5/28/2024 to think that they will send the right prescriptions. Over a month and still not done something's wrong here. A bunch of scam. The store manager refused to give my money back, my eye glasses and walked out on me. Denies that there is no such staff member who told me to throw away the contact lenses when it's their mistake. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE they will reap you off. Deserve to be close. There are things they got going for them and there are things they need to improve on. The good, easy to make online appointment and you can check your order status online which is a plus. Your eye exam copy is given to you without asking which is great. It is probably the lowest price for eye exam and glasses in town. The bad, not enough employee to service everyone and wait time is long even with an appointment. read more

I felt like the whole process was rushed and my prescription turned out to be really incorrect. They also gave away my glasses to another customer and i had to find new frames. The original frames are nowhere to be found. Alicia was amazing helpful once she was involved. A few days later... Upon bringing my prescription it to the attention of the associates i was met with excuses making me feel like the 2 day headache is my fault. It was even said... "well i had my eyes checked here and haven't had a problem" this was said to me by the assistant manager. I now have to wait for an exam at another store with an actual optometrist, but i am unable to refund my glasses. i have no faith in this process, when it comes to eye health it's important to be completely transparent. My prescription went from a -1.25 to a -.25 per the exam. When i asked them about it, they said it's normal. Though the side that 'changed' is completely blurry. read more

This place is the fast food of optometry places. The 2 people I talked 2 have no idea what CUSTOMER SERVICE means. And if either of them worked for me and treated someone the way I was treated they would be fired. I hope their corporate office reads this and really investigates the horrible customer service they are providing. What I needed them to do would have taken 5 minutes and they have done it before and did not even want to charge me. July 13th 2021 Stanton Optical on Madison in Fair Oaks. I get the impression that they only want my money? I got the exam from the Dr. via "ZOOM" or whatever. He told me nothing after. No details about what's going on with my eyes 2 weeks later my glasses arrived. I tried them on & they made me feel dizzy. The employee said: "That's normal." "It takes some getting used to." Okay? Just then, A guy came in asking: "Who was in charge?" Now I think I know why.... (They made him wait.) I paid $329.00, that's after 60% off thanks to my insurance. I took them home. The T.V. looks clearer when I wear them but the main reason I wanted to get glasses is because I can't read fine print up close. I've been using #1 "readers" from the 99¢ store. The Stanton employee told me that those are bad for my eyes & could damage them farther. Welp, My new Stanton glasses were not made to help reading fine print. They make it worse because they were made for farsidedness only. I need them to work for both near & far. I need glasses mostly for near. I hope they can fix them or give me a refund because I paid them & they did NOT give me what I want. I will still need to use my 99¢ store readers.... Now that doesn't make sense, does it?! I came in two weeks ago and got an eye exam and ordered glasses and contacts. Got horrible Service when I went. Was not told about half of the things I needed was cut of multiple times felt very rushed. But when I came in to weeks later to pick up my glasses they were not right and was informed that the last lady that helped me did not offer me things that I needed so Roni was explaining everything that I need and took her time to help me get everything right there was a problem with the glasses.she got me all taken care of. Waited 45 mins just to talk to someone about getting my frames replaced. When they sold me on the warranty they said was sooo great would cover everything I even paid for their "special" coating, nope they wanted to charge almost the same price for what I paid for already with the frames and lenses the first time!! What's the point of a warranty if it would be cheaper for me just to buy a whole new pair with brand new lenses!! It's a rip off!! My glasses also broke because they are cheaply made frames and the pieces were not even metal they were plastic. Set an appointment for a my mother. I would get texts and emails daily reminding me of the appointment. When we got here, we were told to fill out patient info on a tablet and sat around for a half hour waiting. New patient came in, they were told there were no doctors in, only on Tuesdays, we were not informed of that either. The place lacks customer service and this particular location was dirty. Trash on the floor, white curtains with black dirt on the bottom, broken boards around the bottom of the reception area desk. We ended up walking out but I don't even think anyone noticed.
