My father and I have made a few purchases at No Limits Outdoors over the last few years. We're not…read more"frequent" shoppers there, but we've made significant purchases when we do make a visit. And every time we have gone there to make a purchase, it's always been a good experience. Most of the time we have dealt with Andrew himself, and he's great at being clear on what they can or can't get in terms of special orders, and has been quick to get back to us on pricing for special orders, availability, etc. Just this last week, my father and I made a special order with them on a Monday and they had the item available to pick up a week and a day later. This time frame seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Also, I was very happy with the price for this particular item. I was expecting to pay a bit more, and that was before we got a discount for paying up front in cash. For my father and I, No Limits Outdoors has become our first stop when looking for a particular firearm. To date, there is only one firearm I had been looking for that they either didn't have or couldn't obtain - and it was a pretty esoteric item to begin with so I was not surprised. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. Like most any business, there are times where they may be busy with several customers but when they're working with you - you really feel like they're working with you. These days, that alone kinda goes a long way. Know what I mean?

Sunday hours during my visit were 12-3, and whenever I choose to go, I always check when they're open. This time around, the 50% plus $1 area was brimming with clothing and in my size! I left with 2 nice University of Okoboji branded shirts and a comfortable Marmot jacket. I wandered the non-sale areas as well, as this place has always been an "at home" experience. As long as I'm able to come to the Iowa Great Lakes, I'll be here.

I guess the market for an increasingly thin daily newspaper has faded. But, they did have the free Lakes News Shopper and a nice selection of plastic storage containers of various sizes, of which I purchased one. I'll still come back here whenever I come to the Lake, as this place is still a bit of a Legend in my eyes. In fact, I still wear one of their t-shirts.

He had an exceptionally great attitude and was very very friendly. Fletcher was just as helpful getting me everything I needed. He also took my old bike in for service and explained the process in the perfect detail. In addition the day before on the phone Michael was also very very helpful (as he always has been). These guys do the best job at having a great and helpful and very knowledgeable attitude always. It's the reason why this retail store is excelling. The service is exceptional. They really should not have All Sports in the title of this place. To me, it seemed there was more…read morespace wasted on clothing and home decor then there should have been for a sporting goods store. Who goes into a sports store looking for home decor? I don't know if they were trying to pull off the Bass Pro Shops idea or what but it really didn't work. We went in looking for hockey equipment and the selection here was incredibly limited, which is surprising considering the area. My husband was looking for higher end stuff, and of course they didn't really have very many options for what little they carried. I guess this place would get the job done if you have to gear up a little kid, but to be honest spending the kind of money they were asking for the level of equipment they have seems pretty silly to me. The employee that we had to hunt down for help was not very useful at all, and it was obvious he didn't know much about the equipment that was in the section he worked in. You could tell he knew enough to retail sale, but not really recommend. In any case, Play It Again Sports is a better option close by.
