We had lots of dust particles circulating regularly through our HVAC system, which was making me cough and sneeze constantly and keeping my house very dusty. The particles impacted my health causing upper respiratory infections, bronchitis and allergy headaches. I was surprised to learn there was microbial growth in the ducts, so I also asked for the encapsulation process, which involves the application of a polymer coating sealant to the interior of insulated ductwork. I kept telling him that I agreed, but I could not afford that and was not planning on being in this house long enough to make that level investment. He didn't listen. He kept pushing and pushing the insulation issue. After an hour, he proceeded to tell me that he was getting too old to be climbing in hot attics to replace units. He wasted AN HOUR of my time when he knew from the moment he got out of my truck that he was not going to give me a quote!!! I give two stars because I did not disagree with spray foaming being a good idea, so I am not saying he is not somewhat knowledgeable, nor am I saying he does good install work. However, he will not listen to your requests and is very arrogant in pushing his own agenda. I am very fortunate to be knowledgeable in HVAC and recognize a poor HVAC businessman, but let this be a warning to those not in the HVAC field. PS.
